Murrells Inlet Dentistry

I needed an appointment due to a cavity fail from another dentist..they got me right in within a few days! Impressive because I’m a new patient. I did not have my tooth repaired there but I was pointed in the direction to have it pulled. Everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. I definitely found my new dentist with this practice!

I had another wonderful appointment with Whitney. I appreciate her so very much. She is so caring and patient and looks out for all my needs. May I also take this opportunity to give a shout out for Sarah and Lane. I was suddenly without dental insurance and didn't know what to do. They were both very sympathetic and responded right away. If anyone is in need of a suggestion of where to go for dental help, trust me when I say you can't find any better than Murrells Inlet Dentistry. I have been going to them for years and have never been disappointed.

Was in for a scaling and deep cleaning with Cristine. She really put me at ease with her upbeat and caring personality. It was obvious to me that she truly loves her job and is very caring.. I find that the whole staff is A+..I am grateful to the whole practice an am glad to have picked the right place for my Dental needs.. thank you!!

The dental hygienist was gentle, professional and listened to my questions and comments. The highly experienced dentist rechecked the outstanding work of the hygienist, and they both agreed to what my next appointments required. I am highly satisfied with the visit and work done. The check in and check out was all a very good experience also.

I would highly recommend MID. There is a short wait time when you go in for your appointment. My hygienist, Christine, is very patient and thorough and Dr. Ballengee is friendly and shows true concern for her patients. The entire staff is very friendly. I’m so glad I made the change to MID!

The entire staff was very professional and friendly. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. They took time to explain everything that required attention. The most important, they were not judge mental.

I called to ask for an appointment because I was having a strange sensation in my gums. They made me an appointment for the next day. I had expected that it would take two weeks minimum to get an appointment especially since I was a new patient. I was highly impressed with my first visit.

I’ve only had 2 appointments so far but everyone has been very very kind to me, reassuring me and telling me everything that is going on. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental work but they make me feel safe and comfortable. I love this place!

Broke a molar on a Tuesday evening, and was seen short notice on Thursday morning. All of the ladies there were understanding, and professional. Having just moved here, and not having a Dentist as of yet, this will be mine and my family's new primary Dental provider from this point forward. They are amazing!

Honestly, I can't say enough about this team of women at Murrells Inlet Dentistry. They are simply, the best. I have only been able to say this one other time in my life about a dental office. I strongly suggest, if you move to this area, you need to make every effort to become a patient of record here. I just love them all.

Staff is very friendly and efficient. I’m from out of town and chipped a front tooth. I had to have some bonding repaired and the dentist did a great job!

Great Dentist office. The front desk receptionist, the hygienists and dentist were all pleasant, helpful and professional. I could not have asked for a better dental experience. Make an appointment and see for your self!

An Emergency Visit

My wonderful magical Christmas plans did not include a visit to the dentist. Suddenly It became a necessity when my front tooth filling fell out after one bite of a special Christmas cookie. I was left with a big gap between my top two front teeth. My tongue went right to the spot. It felt jagged, rough, and huge. I was afraid to look into the mirror at the damage I did. It was not as bad as I thought. The tongue always makes me feel like my cavities are craters the size of the grand canyon.

I called the office for an emergency appointment not really believing they would have an appointment available the day after Christmas. Christy came back on the line and said there was a 1:30pm appointment available. I was so shocked (but I should not have been)… I dropped my cell phone …in catching it a flash went off and next I knew I had a sideways photo of my blue throw and the table counter. I agreed to the time and hung up.

I arrived at Murrells Inlet Dentistry and Christy greeted me by name and with a kind understanding smile checked me in. I was busy singing, “ All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…”
Lane, Christy and I had a good giggle.
Christy explained to me they leave a few appointment slots open just for holiday dental emergencies.

I looked around the lobby and it was nicely decorated for the Holiday. Each corner was filled with cat/dog food, animal beds and toys for the community animal food bank drive.

I was only waiting in the lobby a few moments and I was called to the back by Renee. The atmosphere there is so calm. Everything is so very bright and clean. Renee is kind, friendly and professional. Her easy going style removes all my fears and hesitation about being at the dentist. She explained everything to me and placed the famous bib around my neck.

Dr Andrea Ballengee, came in and laughed with my choice of Christmas song, “ all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth”.
She examined my teeth and explained exactly what she was going to do. After applying a topical anesthesia to my gums it took effect in no time. I was very relaxed. Dr. Andrea came back and gave me the numbing shots. While the medications were taking effect Renee finished setting up the room.

My gums and nose was quite numb in no time. Dr. Andrea returned to my room and began working on me. While she worked Dr. Andrea softly hummed. It was so soothing and relaxing to me. Time went so quickly while I sat in the “guest” seat ….my head back and supported with my feet up.

Next thing I knew everything was done. Renee handed me a mirror and I looked…my reflection smiled back at me. My two front teeth were so even. They had not been even in years.

I’m so glad my wonderful Magical Christmas plans included this emergency visit to the dentist. Dr. Andrea sure performed Christmas magic on me.

Without being a patient, I was taken as an emergency due to a tooth infection. My dentist is on vacation and his office referred me. The staff were friendly and the dental assistant was over the top knowledgeable. Dr. Andrea Ballangee worked her magic quickly, getting the swelling down and prescribed meds. She welcomed me to return if I didn’t have relief and would pull the tooth, paving the way for the implant I am in need of. I’m thinking of switching to her for dentistry.

These ladies are the best. Great professionals at every level. I never looked forward to a dentist visit until I found murrells inlet dentistry!
