I was fortunate enough to get into this practice when we relocated almost 3 years ago. I just think the world of Dr. Andrew Reynolds and his PA Abby Kirby. They are so carrying and have great solutions for my issues. My husband wanted to move to Columbia and I had to talk him out of it since it's hard to find a highly qualified internist since I'm on disability. Dr. Reynolds and Abby really listen to my concerns- hard to find these days. They are keepers for me!!

Dr. Reynolds and his staff are wonderful. I have been a patient of his for years and I have grown to love this place and thankful that they are there for my needs. If you are looking for a family doctor I highly reccommend.

Been going to Dr. McFaddin or Emily Miller for many years. The best of the best. I have no issues of long waits or staff..maybe some go in with a bad attitude but they are always kind to me. I only have a problem with contacting by phone but I know they are experts and busy. Thanks to all of you!!

Wonderful office with amazing staff. I'm not sure about the other comments on here but from my experience everyone has been nothing but kind and compassionate. Melissa and all the other staff are amazing! The Drs., PAs, and NPs are also great.

Edit: It's been less than 24 hours since I posted my original review and I feel it deserves an edit and another star. Debbie the office manager called me today. She extended a genuine apology and assured me I am important to their team. She didn’t make excuses for anything; she actually agreed with me and asked me what changes I think should be made. I really appreciate her call and might just stick around.

Original post: Dr. Stoddard was the only doctor accepting new patients in my area. First, let me say that he is very kind and thorough and seems like an excellent doctor. He took his time with me, was a great listener, and made me feel comfortable. His assistant (did not get her name) was the sweetest too. NPA Rob was also fantastic.

The OFFICE staff, however, are a different story. I can't speak for all of them because a couple of them are kind and attentive, but many others are very disorganized and have zero sense of urgency about the health of their patients.

In the few times I've gone in for appointments I've had issues with: my referrals not being sent out, my insurance information being recorded incorrectly, being referred to doctors that weren't accepting patients, my questions for the doctor not being delivered, not being informed of my test results, not being able to reach anyone at all by phone, not having my voice mails returned, and last but not least - my surgery clearance form being lost which almost resulted in missing my surgery, and nobody apologized for that by the way.

I have always been acknowledged by the person at the front desk, and whenever I've gone in with a problem (because I had to physically go in to the office to get any answers) someone there has always helped me; Tiffany helped me several times and I think she should be recognized for her great customer service, BUT why are so many things going wrong in the first place?? It seems very unprofessional. A patient should be able to feel rest assured they will be taken care of. Luckily, I'm not a timid elderly person who can't drive or speak up to people giving them the run around.

Dr. Jordan is an excellent doctor. But the is clean and well maintained.
The office staff needs major improvement and lord help you if you need to speak to anyone on the phone mainly, pertaining to prescription refills, etc. Its not going to happen.

I'm writing this on behalf of my sister, who is a patient there. On Monday my sister woke-up with a miserable headache, dizziness, and mild to moderate chest pain discomfort. Being an established patient at Palmetto, she called physician office to see if they could see her, she waited for return call for an hour, no call, so she went to the office in hopes of being seen by her PCP or any other physician there. She told the desk clerk, I have a headache, I feel dizzy, light-headed, and I'm having some chest pain. She was check-in, paid for office visit and the clerk left her to wait in the waiting area to check with physicians to see if she would be worked in. The clerk did not return, so after another 30 min she went back to the desk, asked another clerk, did they forget to let her know if she would be seen. That clerk left and returned with, "no they will not be able to see you today, if you are sick you can go to urgent care or ER", and the other clerk thought she had told you that". This happened! So many red flags and lack of care, negligence, poor communication. Incidently, on arrival there were three other patient's waiting. My sister left per their instructions and went to Sumpter Medical Center (hospital ER). She was immediately taken to assessment area. Blood pressure on arrival was 197/102, heart rate 120's-130's. She was treated and stay under their care and medical management until bp return to normal with nitroglycerin tab and Aspirin for high risk for heart attack. Through grace and mercy, from the Lord God Almighty, she did not have a stroke or MI. Rewind just a bit. The office healthcare staff somehow missed the mark on this event, no nurse or physician offered even a mini-assessment, no one checked any vitals during the close to an hour she was in the office, and allow/instructed the patient with symptoms of pending stroke or heart attack to LEAVE to go to ER. This negligence and lack of care, in a fast brewing crisis is unacceptable. Not even close to good patient care and prudent medical practice. I'm not just ranting, although I'm upset, I am a registered nurse. I have seen patient care and healthcare evolve into something frightening and heart-wrenching for the patients we are called to serve and take care of their health issues, and sadly this happened to my sister. She is still hypertensive today, trying to find a new doctor, due to she will not return to a PCP who allowed or sent her to ER without any assessment or evaluation and or treatment to ensure she would not have a stroke or MI before she got to ER. Shame, shame on Palmetto Adult Health, lives are affected everyday by what you do or don't do. I pray this does not happen again with even worse outcome.

I love my Dr. Alton Jordan, however their phone service is abominable. I never had problems until the last month in calling for a script. You use to have a choice to go to script line, now you dont. I was on phone over hour waiting for someone to answer and got hungup on. They answer in the order of call. This happened several times. What is going on???

I’ve called for the forth time in almost two weeks about one of my pills. Still no call back. I guess you have to go to the office to talk to them.

Love, love, love Dr. Jordan! Office wait times are relatively short. But the office staff and the way the front office is run is another story. No one will ever answer the phone. You are required to leave a message with a promise of a call back. If you are lucky enough to get a call back, it will most likely be several days later. I have never received an apology for the lateness of a return call AND I get attitude from the caller if I express any dissatisfaction. This phone problem has been going on for years and I don't understand why their patients tolerate this kind of treatment. No other doctor's office I deal with operates in such a manner. Why can't they get someone in there who knows the importance of customer service? I work in an office environment, and if it took two days for me to return client calls or it took two days for me to forward a message to my boss, I would be fired! So frustrating!!

First let me say that Dr Harry Jordan is not only a fantastic doctor but also a great, down to earth guy. I have always had good experiences with his medical staff as well.

That being said, the office staff needs a complete overhaul or at least some serious retraining. They're not too bad at the counter, although occasionally one might have a surly attitude. The BIG PROBLEM is that no matter what, if you need a prescription or referral updated you're forced to leave a message and almost never get a call back. Today is the third time I've left a message in ten days and still nothing. Nada. Nuthin'.

So to recap, medical care - five stars and two thumbs up. Office staff - let them go flip burgers and get someone in there that wants to do their job.

LOVE my doctor but no one would answer their phones! I've been calling them for over a month, left several voicemails, and still NO phone calls returned. I have no clue why my insurance has this facility on their list. Great doctors, but their staff needs to work on communication skills. Even when someone answered my phone, they hung up and directed me to someone else who had NO clue what to do with what I needed. Calling my insurance now to get another primary doctor!

First, let me say I wasn't giving this office any stars but I had to pick at least 1 before it would let me post my review.....I've been a patient of Dr Jordan's for 6 years now. I moved to this practice after my life long primary Dr. retired. Dr Jordan is great, although I think he's pulled in to many directions at once, maybe trying to do see to many patients in a day, idk..... Either way, the main issue I have is with the office staff. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe the experiences my husband and I have both had. You can NEVER get a call back to schedule an appointment, get a prescription refill, or even get test results that you've already paid for. I had to call today (2nd call in more than 24 hours) for a refill on my blood pressure meds. If I don't get a positive response today I WILL be looking for another primary physician. I have a job to do at work and if I preformed at my job the way this office staff does I wouldn't blame my employer for releasing me of my responsibilities. I can't understand why this office can't seem to get their act together. I've even spoken to the office manager, Debbie, before and expressed my concerns but nothing seems to really change....

Recently retired from the Army and unfortunately had to choose a primary care provider off base. I chose Palmetto Adult Medicine (Catherine Coffey) to be my family’s provider. I waited a week just to hear if the doctor can accept my family. I checked back after a week and still haven’t heard anything. Checked again after two weeks, still no word. I was told it depends on when the doctor decides looks at the request. That is absolutely unacceptable. Today’s phone call to the clinic was the nail in the coffin. I called Tricare immediately to change my PCM. Future patients do not have time to sit around waiting for a call as to whether a doctor can take on new patients. It is a simple yes or no type of deal. Something did not sit well with me when I originally walked into that office and this just confirmed my intuition. Most certainly makes me miss the military structure and way of doing things. Thanks but no thanks.

I have been trying to make an appointment with this office for a month and a half now. I have come up to the office twice and have been promised a “call back today to schedule appointment”. I have called this office numerous times and every time, I get a promise to be called back that same day and don’t get a call back at all. I have also been connected to their voicemail twice, and they can’t even return my voicemails. I will be going Monday for my third time up to the office and I’m not going to leave until I have an appointment.
