Dixie Drive In

This is about as local a diner as you can get. Order the “Dixie Cheese” for a grilled burger with mayo, cheese and pickle. It comes with fries, but if you order “half & half” you get fries and onion rings. The sweet tea is classic southern sugar! Enjoy!

Well worth the 20 minute drive. Great burgers, outstanding sweet onion rings, and a little box and plate for carryout. Highly recommend for a good burger and great small town atmosphere.

Have to get a Dixie ”fix” every time we’re in Greenwood. Delicious!!!! Dixie Cheese / Half and Half is a must. Friendly atmosphere and service. See old friends and make new ones. Can’t help but love it.

I've heard many people rave about the Dixie Drive In over the years. I went to college only 30 minutes away, but never went during my 4 years in the area. I don't know how I missed it. Dixie has so many items, including an Upstate favorite... The Bird Dog! A Bird Dog is a chicken tender in a hot dog bun with cheese, bacon, and honey mustard. It sounds odd, but it is AMAZING! I can't wait to come back again!

If you're looking for a diner with that small town feel and great food, this is it! Not many places like this exist anymore. Everyone there is friendly and makes you feel welcome! I 100% recommend The Dixie!

Love this place, it's so original and unique. Everytime I visit south Carolina I eat here, staff is great, food is really good. Hope this place never changes it's perfect.

I absolutely love The Dixie! I love the old timey feel of small town America. The food is great if you're looking for a burger or something like that, but I wouldn't go there expecting a nice steak. The staff is very friendly and it a refreshing atmosphere. You go there and this is the place where the staff will remember your name an order.

A true country diner experience, love it! They actually listen when putting in a special order, unlike other places that really don't care, no matter how many times you take the food back. Dixie is the best place to get a great homemade burger and fries. The Cole slaw was a bit off but nothing is perfect.

Good food large plates friendly people

This dining experience was very pleasant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I ate the hamburger steak meal with fries and Cole slaw. The sitting in this restaurant is all counter service. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Get there early because they get packed around noon.

Best old style diner food in town! Been eating here all my life when passing thru,and cant wait till next time! Be sure to try the chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries!! Or a fried bologna sandwich!!

Best place in Greenwood to get a cheeseburger hands down! The owners are super nice and service is quick. Prices are also really good.

This place was awesome! Hands down the best burger i have ever had from a restaurant! The waiter was also quick and friendly. I love the way this place is set up too. Its actually got 4 bars (like the one at waffle house but set up so high) to choose from ( 2 bars for each waitress that particular day); no tables. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone.

What a wonderful hometown burger joint. Last 2 visits have been simply wonderful. Deliciousness on a plate....4 Dixie cheese and mixed 50/50 fries and rings. Sat outside.and plates were out in less than 5 minutes

Great place to eat. Food is delicious. Service is excellent. We drive past all the time and the parking lot is always busy. My sister and I thought we'd give it a try. We knew walking in the food was going to be great. The restaurant smells like home cooking.
