Monk's Bar & Grill - Verona

For a nice casual, sporty and fun evening, go to Monk's bar and grill. I went to Verona location, it was cool!. Food is so great and not to miss, quantity was great too.

The Impossible burger is amazing! Drinks are strong and delicious. I only come here for those two things regularly!

BEST homemade chips EVER!!!! And, their burgers top my favorites list!! But the chips are ALWAYS warm and crisp, NEVER soggy, and flavorful. They hold up to a ranch dip, but dip is totally unnecessary. And, they don't break apart.

Sincerely friendly, but professional servers are attentive without being intrusive. Very courteous. Staff makes you feel welcome and valued!!

Plenty of parking. Facility is well designed, clean, comfortable. Lighting is soothing, yet bright enough. Televisions are sharp, well placed.

Moderately priced. Casual. Evening specials. Nice date place, big bar room. At least two separate, large dining areas. Family friendly! Don't delay your visit.

This place has become my go to date night spot. The burgers are amazing and are a great price. I don't eat beef but you can put an impossible patty on any of their burgers for a very small charge and I have heard from beef eaters who have tried my food that it tastes almost exactly the same as the real beef burgers.
The cheese curds, fries, fried pickles, and house chips are amazing as well. I don't normally rave about chips at a restaurant but these are great! Drinks are affordable and the atmosphere is always clean, plus I love that there is a bar area and a dining room for more quite eating.

We've eaten at other restaurants in this chain, but not at this location before. We stopped in with 2 adults and a 10 yr old and everyone really liked their food. The waiter was very nice also.

The food was good and what I expected for a sports bar. Kaleb came by pretty quickly and was very friendly and had a great attitude. Easy to talk to and checked on me a few times to see if I needed anything. The food came out hot and and the wait wasn't too long. If I'm in the area again, I would consider stopping by again.

Incredible location.. lots of patio space. If sports are your thing, they have them in spades. It's already Badger themed, and outside of Camp Randall there's no better place to watch the game. They must pay their staff a good wage.. the service is top notch.. everytime. We accidentally tried to use a $5 off coupon that had been long expired. Our server was new-ish (few weeks she said), and went to ask a manager. The manager, I think her name was Natalie, recognized us from past visits and didn't even blink before gladly honoring the coupon. While we're a little closer to the Middleton location, we still go to Verona. And we'll continue to do so! Check them out for sure.

I was extremely happy with my visit to Monk's. I had the tater tot mac and cheese, and it was fantastic. Along with the food being really great, the staff did a great job attending to our party of 40.

I also was impressed with the manager. He checked in with our group to make sure the food was good. He also thanked us for choosing his place. Its not something that many do these days, so it was cool he took a moment to do so.

If we come to town again, I will definitely visit Monk's again.

Great service, great fish fry, great Old Fashion, reasonable prices!! Monks had a few inside customers, but I had an entire area to myself. Totally shocked. Usually on a Friday evening Monks has a 20 minute wait. There's plenty of outside dining available too!!!!

If you like "bar food" this is the place to go! I have had many items on the menu and never had a meal I did not enjoy! Salads are good too! They have Coke products. To help with cost look for coupons. Open for lunch too!

Great black bean burger and awesome tator tots. The Verona location has a lot of outside seating. Good service from the staff every time I have been. Happy Hour specials everyday of the week. Great place to watch a sporting event. Bar is a bit small but good tap selection of beer.

Genuine customer service! We tend to sit at the bar - Bartenders are exceptional!...Affordable and tasty food -BEST burgers this side of town! Apps are amazing, however, full portions seem to differ/ per day (Half portions available if you're undecided)....Don't forget to ask about the Monk's Reward Program - Deals, Deals, DEALS!!

I stopped here specifically to try an impossible burger after listening to the creator in an interview on the Freakanomics podcast. It was pretty good. Monk's is pretty consistent. I'm never blown away, but the portions are generous and the wait staff are friendly.

Awesome place to go and watch a basketball/football game! There are televisions no matter where you sit. The staff was incredible! The food was delicious. My friends and I had a wonderful time here.

Delicious burgers and sandwiches. Great place to watch the Badger game or other games. Nice amount of TVs. Didn't sit in the bar area to comment on the drinks or bar atmosphere.

Food consistently great and staff is courteous and attentive. If you cannot find anything to eat on the extensive menu, then you are actually a goat or Elk.

I think they should do their own beer and this would be a perfect place for many events.
