Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sumter, SC

Me and my kids stayed a month and felt at home. The location is perfect...it has food spots and shopping in the area. The hotel was clean and had a welcoming environment. We were very comfortable and felt safe.. It was quiet and peaceful. The manager Tina was amazing from the night we arrived to the morning we left. She made sure we were good and made us feel happy secure and welcomed. She leads by example and her team follows suit. Thank you so much Tina and staff. I will definitely recommend others to come and stay there and we will be returning occasionally to visit you and the pool🤗 Thank y'all P.S. the grab and go breakfast due to Covid is good as well.

I stayed with my daughter, little sister, and my fiancé for 10 days. I enjoyed every minute of it, the staff as a whole was great, the pool was warm, and my room was very comfortable and big. The front desk staff was awesome and very kind. Tena the manager was polite and helpful with any questions I had regarding my room and stay. Housekeeping were very thorough and quick to get you whatever necessities you needed. Definitely will be booking with this hotel in the future.

I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites and my stay was marvelous! I was greeted by staff from the moment i walked in, they were really friendly and treated me as family! The manager Tretena was very helpful and very sweet! She made sure my stay was the best. The guy Marcus who checked me in was very very helpful. I was looking for a house and he told me all about the wonderful areas Sumter had to offer, even referred me to a great rental company! The lady Koco was all smiles that lit the whole room. She was very kind and helpful. She conversated with me to see if I had found a home yet and from talking to her i felt a warm welcoming loving vibe. I would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. I've never in my life felt this welcomed at a hotel full of strangers that made me feel more loved than my own family! Thanks, Tretena, Koco & Marcus!

Good morning ! I have been a guest here since October and it is now, December 9 2020. I love staying here. The manager, Tina is very sweet, professional, kind and she cares about her guests. Her front desk staff; Treginald, Candace, Brittany and Marcus are kind and has good customer service. They all are willing to help when I come to the front desk. The housekeepers: Lisa and Ms Flo are very good at making sure the rooms are clean. Barry, the maintenance guy is nice and does his job. Thank you all so much for being who you are and like a family to me.

I've read some of these reviews and I'm not sure these people are referring to the same hotel. Let me tell you about my experience at Country Inn and Suites of Sumter. I have been staying at this hotel since April 27th because I have been waiting on my house to be finished. Covid-19 has not made finding a rental easy and I'm in the process of locating a different house to rent. Not only am I looking for a place to rent but I also am going through chemotherapy and radiation as well. Since April this hotel has been my home and the staff has made sure I have absolutely everything I need. I cannot express enough or give enough praise to the manager Tina, Taylor, Lacey and Marcus and Mrs. Barbara for how they have all looked after me and made sure my stay here has been nothing short of exemplary. Now having have stayed here for some time I have moved rooms quite a few times and each room I have stayed in has been impeccably clean. I know for a fact that Mrs. Tina has the housekeeping staff work hard. So hard in fact that I witnessed a bird fly right into the glass doors because they so clean. I've also seen the owner of this hotel on his hands and knees in the parking lot planting flowers himself. I've come downstairs while Management was having a meeting with housekeeping and I can say that she and every staff member here care about this hotel and all aspects of its operations. There is a reason why that every Friday and Saturday night that I even have trouble trying to rebook my room because the hotel is sold out. The reason for my review today is because I was brought to tears when Lacey helped my husband surprise me with a 9 week old Yorkie puppy because I've been so down from chemo and the slow progress I've made on finding a place to live. The staff here is nothing short of amazing and I love each and everyone of them dearly and will truly be sad to leave here once I have my house. They have become like family to me and have went out of their way for me time and time again. I'll never be able to thank them enough and I'm grateful that they have put up with me. I think I've put in enough time staying at this hotel to be able to give an honest and accurate review. If you take the word of someone who stayed one or two nights and is leaving a bad review because they more than likely checked in with an attitude, you're going to miss out on having a great experience at Country Inn and Suites of Sumter. Tina, Taylor, Mrs. Barbara, Lacey and Marcus thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you all have done to make my stay memorable. I appreciate everyone of you.

Great pet and kids friendly hotel. The staff is super friendly. The pool is open 6am-12am and the hot breakfast is excellent. We especially liked the sausage gravy.

We had a hotel party for my 13 yr old. There were 6 teenager girls so we needed a lot of space or room. We didn't have a big room but what we had was cozy. We enjoyed ourselves. BUT what made the whole stay comfortable and enjoying was an employee named Marcus Evans. I am not going to go into details but Marcus went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. Thank you Mr. Evans and see you next time.

I stay at the hotel to assist my sister with a sleep over for her granddaughter because her daughter was in the hospital and could not attend the sleep over for her 7 year old child. I have to say that the staff, not just one person, but everyone we encountered , was very kind , courteous and helpful. My neice and her friends enjoyed themselves and grandmother and I survived the night. Also the breakfast was better than IHOP!!!! The hotel room and other areas were very clean.

Not sure if they are in the middle of a remodel but the paint job is horrible. Anyone could paint better than whoever painted this. Big white stain on the carpet. Probably would not stay here again.

The front desk person that was on duty was named Laura and she was the sweetest, best dressed, woman I have ever met. And her nails were gorgeous. She was very helpful and explained the details for breakfast and the wifi. She is definitely the face that should great everyone due to she was friendly and made me fell welcome

This hotel is wonderful. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are so clean. When you walk into the rooms it smells so good. Tina is wonderful. She always makes sure you are taken care of. See her when you go there.

I must say as a frequent traveller here in Sumter, this has got to be the friendliest staff I have encountered thus far. I am a constant customer of the holiday inn express which has superior customer service. But when things we booked I chose here for the very first time and once again I must say it is awesome. I do wish I had the spiny office chair at the desk but other that that hands down i recommend this place.

We arrived early before check-in and had a hour or so to spare. So the desk clerk was kind enough to let us leave our bags in the back while we went to get something to eat. The hotel is in a perfect location surrounded by restaurants. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this hotel 👍

I didn't stay here long. Checked in late and left early but my check in experience was great and the rooms were much nicer than I expected. Nice big room with a mini fridge, had a indoor pool and a free breakfast. I would stay here again if I was in the area

The manager was amazing! She was very professional and nice. The work staff was friendly with and my family during our stay. I definitely appreciate the breakfast in the morning!

Alexis who works at the front is so helpful and friendly and goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect. She even remembered me and we had only spoken once before about a week ago which was pretty incredible. I hope someone recognizes her for her outstanding customer service!!

Extremely friendly staff - front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast! Variety at breakfast - hot food, cold cereal, fruit and yogurt. Pool and gym are open 24 hours. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Nice indoor pool. Only downside is the parking. They have a tiny parking lot and the rest have to park in the dirt.

This hotel was very nice!! The pool was awesome. Very clean. You walk into the hotel to see very nice staff. Would highly recommend
