Dr. Karpos explained my medical problems and allowed my son to listen in by phone to the procedure of my hip replacement. He answered ALL our questions without rushing us through the appointment. I had a right hip replacement with spur removal in June 2022&left hip &spur removal November 2022. Both surgeries healed with NO complications. I was pain free soon after each replacement.I can now touch my toes and walk without pain. No PT from outside help. I was taught in the hospital how to exercise, get in/out of the car without harming my new hips. Everything went better than I could hope for. Dr. Karpos is the BEST!!! I've recommended him multiple times to multiple people. His staff is kind, helpful,& I was provided with handicap ♿ placards for my car while I needed them & papers to go through metal detectors. The office is very clean and staff is dressed professionally. I'm so HAPPY I chose him as my Dr.

I only had to wait about 4-6 minutes before being taken back for an X-ray. After that, I was put in an exam room and Dr. Karpos appeared shortly. He discussed my X-ray with me and answered all my questions. Dr. Karpos has always been thorough and patient and kind. His staff is knowledgeable and always knows what to do. I would highly recommend him and his practice

Dr. Karpos is a great doctor. He's been my doctor for my knee replacements. He is caring and makes sure your pain level is low and he takes care of your medication. He is simply the best. One of the greatest. I don't want any other doctor to do my replacements. 2 knee replacements down so far. Doctor Karpos has spoiled me.

Absolutely the best Orthopedic Surgeon! 2 total knee replacements for my Dad and a total hip replacement for my Mom. Speedy recovery and with minimal pain. Could not ask for a better outcome. Highly recommend!

So good to see someone who knows what he’s doing. I was referred to Dr. Karpos by physicians who thought I was a candidate for hip replacement but could not tell me why. Dr. Karpos asked me specific questions about the pain, and physically manipulated the joint (neither of which my initial doctors did) before telling me he didn’t think there was any need for a hip replacement-and that indeed his exam only confirmed what he could already see from the x-ray (and which my first doctors, again, could not).

Dr. Karpos then proceeded to try to figure out the actual problem, which he speculated might be a pinched nerve. He then prescribed a specific treatment, which seems to have addressed the issue.

Had the first millennials who looked at me bothered to explore the actual reasons for the pain I was experiencing rather than mindlessly sending me for injections, I would have been spared a month of inactivity and discomfort. These are reasons to seek out a doctor who actually has a practice rather than one who has become a bureaucratic schlub dispensing treatments with the mindless persistence of a bot. Dr. Karpos has that experience in practice and thoughtfulness as a practitioner. He simply knows what he’s doing, a welcome change in an age of millennial arrogance and incompetence.

Dr Karpos did my hip replacement. It was 100% sucess! I feel I could trust him for any future operations. Brooke his assistant is top notch also. She is very accurate and efficient.

We were referred to Dr Karpos by a family member. He was a godsend! My husband had to have a bilateral hip replacement and two separate surgeries and both times he received excellent care. Dr Karpos got to the bottom of the situation when other drs were scratching for answers. Not only is he a very qualified and skilled surgeon he truly cares about his patients. He has performed a hip and a knee replacement on me in the past and I pray he will be the one to replace the other hip and knee when they need it! He ACTUALLY LISTENS to me and takes the time to carefully explain my condition and the treatment necessary. He is patient with me in deciding when I am ready. A LOT of surgeons just want to operate no matter what! Dr. Karpos listens and understands that life gets in the way sometimes! I recommend him to everyone who is in need of hip or knee treatment! I am so thankful that my old Rheumatologist (Dr. Susan Jacobi) recommended him. She had moved away a few years before I needed my first hip replaced. I actually tracked her down to get a recommendation because she had RA and had already had both of her hips replaced at a young age. I trusted her completely and I TRUST DR KARPOS 100% with my care! You will be just as thankful if you choose him! I just can?t say enough about what a wonderful doctor he is!

First of all Dr. Karpos was highly recommended to me by a friend that had a knee replacement surgery provided at TOA by Dr. Karpos. At my first appointment, I found the reception area and front office staff to be very friendly and helpful to both my wife and myself. We both had knee problems and needed help! Dr Karpos was very welcoming and informative about the results of the X-rays and a review of his recommendations for both of us. He also did the procedures to give us immediate relief from the severe pain we had been experiencing. We will have a follow up appointment in six weeks to decide on the treatment plan options. We could not have been more happy with the results of our meeting with Dr. Karpos and all the staff at TOA!
