La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Houston East at Normandy

We were in town for a football game and this hotel accommodated us last minute with a room. Everyone at the desk was friendly and personable. Upon checkout, I left some jewelry in my room and when I called to have them check if it was there, The front desk located it and helped with shipping it back to me. I really appreciated this and want to give them a shout out. Thank you! :)

I am only giving a low location rate because I made a mistake and picked a hotel farther than I expected from my work site. I forgot to factor in City traffic and toll roads. Nonetheless The staff has been excellent!! Very nice ladies at the desk! The food tasted good and was hot 🔥. I may not stay here again simply due to location from my site. But the service was great. It is right off the highway and next door to gas stations and close to the airport so a great spot. What made this one of my best work stays though was the staff. They need a raise.

Friendly staff. It has a gated parking lot so I wasn’t too worried about the tools in the back of my truck

My husband, daughter and I spent a week here. We left the Whitehall Houston, a $200 a night hotel, after the 1st night because of the horrible room and service. The rooms here cost less than half and were at least 3 times nicer! Has a full free breakfast every morning and a pool. The beds were very comfortable and rooms quiet. The highlight of our stay here was the staff! We felt well cared for and welcomed. All of the cleaning staff were extremely professional and friendly. I can't remember all their names, but thank you all. Big shout out to our favorite brothers...Jacob and Marcus who worked the front desk and our new buddy Steve! They gave us great tips for food and activities near by. We definitely plan on returning on my next visit.

Stayed here while visiting Houston from Dallas to attend and family member's funeral. The hotel was nice and very clean. The room was big with a big bathroom. They also offer a full complimentary breakfast (was not expecting that). AND great coffee!

This is a great spot to get some sleep after traveling all day. Lots of parking easy access. Well lit. Very clean and lots of space to hang out both inside and outside. Pool and nice garden area. Rooms are spaced out for a lot of room. Great tvs. Breakfast is off the hook. Kid friendly. Highly recommended. Pet friendly.

I made a reservation at about 1130pm due to a nightmare Airbnb situation I encountered! It was so bad It was no way I was staying a full night in there. Booked La Quinta inn and the customer service was superb from start to finish! The room was VERY clean, breakfast was great & the interaction with the staff was the cherry on top! Thank you Jacob & Ariana (front desk staff) and Maddy who was handling a large load of breakfast orders on her own!

The staff is awesome the rooms are clean and our housekeeper makes sure our room is clean and breakfast is always ready on time we have been here for 2 weeks due to flooding in our home and I have no complaints and will recommend

Check-in was very good. Young man at front check-in desk was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was good. Ms. Lupe, the breakfast attendant, was very nice and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean. We didn't experience any problems during our stay. Looking forward to staying here again.

My mom and I booked a last minute room because we didn't want to drive from Austin to Louisiana in one trip, after working all day. This hotel was located right off the interstate and was super easy to find. Super clean with a very friendly staff. Booking last minute we didn't get the option of 2 queen beds but the king was huge! The breakfast options the next morning were great with a lot to choose from. Will stay again when we need to break up our drive heading east!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Our dog made a mess in the bathroom but the woman at the desk was quick about getting me cleaning products and towels so I could clean it up. The shower was amazing. I didn't want to leave.

Really nice hotel. Beds are comfortable, TV has lots of channels. There is a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. Bathroom is super clean and what I like the most is the toiletries. Pantene shampoo and conditioner, q-tips and even makeup remover. Breakfast was great, waffle maker, 4 different types of juice, 4 different types of coffee, 2 types of tea, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, ham, potatos, biscuits with gravy, and lots of pastries. Something for everyone. Overall a good experience and would definitely come back.

Wonderful hotel staff is very polite and friendly stayed with my boyfriend love that the rooms are clean at. Front desk attendant was very helpful with suggestions for local restaurants in the area. We plan on returning every time we are in town

This place is Very nice and super clean! Very comfortable beds and an amazing staff... Not a location I would have preferred, but it's comfort and price made up for it... Would go back if I needed a quick mini get away from reality.

All they had left was a suite and my oh my was it well worth it. Can't beat it for the money. Place was clean, staff was nice, parking was crowded like another review said but not a dealbreaker in any way...good breakfast too; gratis. 4th hotel/motel stay on our trip so far and best by a mile...stays include Hilton, Ramada, and comfort in. Highly recommend!

Clean room, decent breakfast, and the pool was nice. The staff was fun and seem very family oriented. Their little shop has a big variety of items.

Let just say , I stayed at this hotel after a very traumatic experience and all I have to stay is the hotel staff is some off the most caring, sweet, thoughtful, helpful, u will ever meet in the hotel industry, u may have to wait a min to get the front desk attention at the front desk in the midnight shift , but they makeup for it , above and beyond once u get there attention cause they are in the office,. Very clean hotel , open areas and there rooms, I do agree on the view on the back of the hotel was less than desired, a house and car repair business, but it is a shaded wooded view, I felt very sucure and safe at the hotel with a security guard, and most of the midnight shift, the front desk person has a concealed carry permit, and the gates to the hotel are closed at night so u have to drive up to have gates open,I felt safer at this hotel, then any hotel downtown Houston , that has a huge security staff,. Overall best midgrade ($60 to $150) hotel I have stayed at in Texas........ I only wished I could have used there gym and swimming pool but due to cov19 I could not ........
