Holiday Inn Express & Suites Superior - Duluth Area, an IHG Hotel

Great experience here. It was nicely tucked away but very close to restaurants, convenience stores and shops.
Nice pool, gym & full continental breakfast buffet.
Also, new/updated, clean & comfortable rooms. Great front desk service as well.
We would definitely stay here again!

Clean! We’ve stayed here for years. Looks newly remodeled. Smelled fresh. Linens were clean. Friendly staff. Do recommend!

Very nice clean place great breakfast and a variety of stuff in snack machines that was better than any I have ever seen.

I just wanted to say that when I stayed here Brianne and Kathy were so helpful and kind. They helped me get my room rate figured out and were always helpful. They had to deal with a large group of people who were difficult and rude, and they both held their cool a lot better than I could have. The hot tub wasn’t working when I stayed and the large group wasn’t very considerate, but the staff were wonderful and i enjoyed my stay :)

Thank you for the experience. The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious. There was cheese omelet, pork sausage links, a pancake maker. My favorite was the warm melted cinnamon roll!

Don't know what all the bad reviews are about. Yes, there is construction going on, but the workers are polite and only make noise during the day. We are normally out doing things during the day anyway. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was as good as it gets.

The manager working the front desk this weekend gets all the credit for making our stay enjoyable! Housekeeping checked our room off as clean but when we checked in it was not clean at all, the cleaning crew had left for the day so the manager cleaned the room herself, bedding, towels, bathroom, all of it! We waited patiently in the lobby while she cleaned and then gave us a discount for the weekend. So appreciate her hard work. Not the newest place but doing their best short staffed to make it clean and comfortable! Would stay here again!

The hotel was being worked on & the hot tub was out of order but that was the only downside to the stay. Rooms were clean, breakfast was great & the staff were alot of help whenever needed. Thank you.

The hotel is clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable the rooms and have quite a bit of space. The staff is friendly and breakfast is included. I’ve stayed here a few times now and I’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay here. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable. It had a nice view of Lake Superior and was in walking distance to a lakeside pathway where you could get closer to the water.

Good view of the water. Awesome breakfast (almost feel bad for perkins across the street)!!!! I mean they have a machine that makes fresh pancakes and they have cinnabon!! The rooms are clean and well kept! Staff was very very professional, kind and down to earth! I have a few more trips up that way will be staying here!

During my 3-4 week extended stay, Kennedy (Hostess), Dylan, and Mitch were excellent hosts and very professional. The room, grounds, and location were all beautiful and well kept, even as the hospitality industry suffers a shortage. Great job Holiday Inn Express. Great job.

The staff really seem to care about their property. Everyone was friendly. Very quiet at night. Easy to sleep. Super clean.

GREAT location. Walking distance from the lake and a 10 minute drive to canal park. 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I were looking for a nice, clean place to stay for one night while our daughter was at a hockey tournament in Duluth. We didn't want to pay Duluth Hotel prices so this hotel was recommended to us by another hockey parent. They claimed they stayed here many times over the years and told us it was clean. We arrived sooner than we expected and they were able to get us a room before check in time. Thank you for that. The front desk man was very accommodating. The hotel location is super accessible to the main bridge crossing over to duluth. Real slick on and off. Took maybe 5 min. Very convenient. We stayed in room 227. Very clean, remodeled, roomy. It was perfect. What I was so happy about was the bed! Super comfy! And the sheets were so soft! I think softer than mine at home, and I buy good sheets. It's kinda my thing. We will for sure book her again for the next hockey tournament which is coming up soon. The front desk gentleman also informed me that they are getting another facelift remodel soon which is nice but I thought it was cute and cozy already. We did not get to try the breakfast though. Next time. I love coming to Duluth but now I am now a fan of Superior WI.

I didn't stay but after being ripped off a couple grand and stranded I needed to catch a bus and the front desk clerk was beyond helpful to me. I wasn't even a customer and she still helped me. If the front line is that nice it has to be a good place

Clean rooms. Breanne Tapani, the front office manager, went out of her way to make sure I had a great stay. She was friendly, always smiled, courteous which made for a great experience. The breakfast buffett was a solid B+ to A- but adequate. Still overall I would come back again and recommend this hotel to others.

10 Minute Drive From Duluth , Safe Tourism Area, close walk to Scenic views. Budget Friendly, Perkins Restaurant close Walking Distance, Friendly loud Family Hotel- Pool Closes Late! Complimentary Breakfast. Would Stay Again.

Great spot to use as a basecamp for the recent Festival of Sail (Tall Ships) in Two Harbors. Appreciated the complimentary top floor corner suite and retail, grocery and coffee shops nearby. Thank you. Until we meet again.
