Mohawk General Store

I love places like this, with their own history and charm.
We visited this store during our roadtrip, as my husband wanted to get some homemade beef jerky. Their jerky was amazing, thank you, guys!
The cashier (I think he is the owner of that place as well) was very friendly and helpful.

Love this market! My husband likes the fresh jerky. I am grateful for the assortment of essentials and the fact that stock is up to date and staff are friendly! Lots of energy drink options, but also canned food, cereal, household supplies, candy, milk, cheese, chips…
We spent 8 years on the road in an RV. So we have seen a lot of little markets. This one is one of the best. The wood floor and rustic charm only make me love it more! It’s a great place to stop before heading up into the mountains or to simply get a few groceries. Yes, it might be a bit more in price than Walmart, but compared to driving into town… and knowing I’m supporting a small business… totally worth it.

Cute little neighborhood market. Has some of the BEST jerky around. Honey and teriyaki are my family favorites. Always great quality for a decent price.

If you like historical buildings, that gives you that sense of nostalgia. Then you'll love the Mohawk General store it was built in 1914, and the building itself is 108 years old. Which is still a fully functioning small store to this day. To remember the history of the store they have photos and other antiques on display from different parts of the store's rich history of serving our local community. So if you find yourself in the Mohawk Valley area which is on the outskirts of Springfield, and before you get into the town of Marcola. Stop by the Mohawk General Store because it is one of the very few places where you can get a soda or a snack. Along with getting good customer service from their friendly staff, and seeing a piece of history all at the same time.

Everyone is always super sweet here ! I always get compliments from the dark headed woman at this store . We skip the store right next to our home to drive an extra 5 mins to this one : ) Even the guys who deliver here are nice… cant remember his name? but I couldn’t find a drink I needed and he went to the back to get me the flavor I wanted … and before we drive there we call to see if they have what we need and they always check with a friendly attitude . Love this store . Miss sweet black kitty though:(

Great all-purpose general store that serves its community. This is a hub of local activity and information. And they have everything you might need for a day on the river, a weekend in the woods, or a night at home.

friendly cashier - brilliant service

Freshly popped popcorn, in the old fashioned popper. Teriyaki, Old Fashioned, Jalapeno & also Honey Jerky. Pepper Stix, Pizza, Big Daddy's & all the diversity in beverages one could ask for! It's like stepping back into my childhood. Beautiful, back road drive, from our house to there, in minutes. I love this grocery store! Never a cranky person working there either! ♡

First time visiting...needed some stamps and something cold to drink. This little store is awesome and the gentleman who helped me was terrific! I'll definitely be back.

The lovely ladies staffing the store saved my partner and I from a vacation gone awry. They let us use their phone due to no cell service and used the small town phone tree to put us in touch with the people we needed to find. Super appreciative of their hospitality and help.

If you want to experience courteous and pleasant hospitality, then this is your pit stop. Most everyone I know will take the extra distance in the trip to go to this Market instead of the closer one to them in Marcola for this reason alone.
