Cantafio's Buckhorn Steakhouse

Hands down the BEST eatery in Beaver Dam! The service was simply outstanding. Very warm, welcoming and friendly and you never had an empty drink on your table. Even more, the food was phenomenal. The Buckhorn Tradition - a deep fried onion with chipotle sauce, was huge! The steak was perfectly cooked and hit the spot, too. Altogether, everything was fresh and hot. One of my favorite aspects, however, was the beautiful homage to the owners fallen veteran son. Bringing his story into their restaurant provided a touching aspect to my visit. Kudos to the owners for providing free meals to veterans, too. The owners, along with the staff, truly put their heart and soul into this steakhouse. It is immaculately clean and provides a wonderful atmosphere for a dinner out. My husband and I would happily make the drive from Appleton to return. Highly, highly recommend - it's worth the stop!

This was our first time here. It is a traditional supper club. The food was good the service was great day the ice cream drinks were good. You get alot of food for a fair price. In Milwaukee you would pay 75.00 or more for the prime rib that was 36.00 here.

Had the Big Ben prime rib with baked potatoes and onions block appetizer. Was seated right away and then server took my drink order. She was very pleasant and professional. The food was very tasty. I also received a bread stick basket with cheese spread and a roll. The roll wasl the only thing that did not stand out. Also had the clam chowder.

They are short on help. Wish people would get back to work. I felt so sad for the few girls working last Saturday I left an extra tip for them. The bartender actually had to seat us and helped the waitresses as much as she could.
But our steaks were out of this world again.

This has been the absolute best restaurant I have ever went to. The staff was so friendly the tables were put together so nicely there was nothing stand or looked disgusting anyway. It honestly looked as if everything was bought that day and laid out that night that's how well put together and clean the slocked. Such a great experience in food was amazing I love the persona of the place and the discounts are actually pretty nice my husband's a veteran we got a 10% off discount and at the end of the night my children actually were able to pick out a free toy. We ended up buying an appetizer, two $27 16 oz steaks plus 2 kids meals and on top of that I got a margherita and my husband got a beer and to go we got to deserts and 2 separate meals for lunch tomorrow and it honestly only came out to 106. And if you go to restaurant and you're ordering that might typically it does come out to a little bit more expensive but so nice I love it There and we're going again tonight I can't wait. Best experience ever and if I can suggest going anywhere to specifically a steak place or any type of restaurant expresly with your kids go here best place ever next time I'm going I'm tipping everybody a $20 tip that is how great the staff and the experience was for me I love it so much.

To the non locals, this is a hidden away gem. We stopped there on our way home to Chicago, on a Saturday afternoon. Didn’t have reservations and I’m not sure if that’s how they work but the wait was only 20 min and well worth it. The atmosphere was fantastic. Quiet, friendly and cozy. They make you feel like you’re family. Everyone is super friendly. The service was outstanding. We ordered the sirloin stake for two. How does one describe perfection? We have finally come across a place that literally serves the perfect stake. Between bites, my friend and I looked at each other and said “it’s only a two hours drive, we’re coming back”

My husband and I LOVE Supperclubs..We both had the steak sandwiches with fries..mine medium, his well done they were perfect. I paired mine with mushrooms & onions and he had the soup, potato ham and bacon..Everybody was Friendly..great visit..

First time trying, we've passed by since moving nearby and have wanted to try it for a long time and I must say....Exceeded all expectations! We started with mozzarella sticks for our appetizer (ate them before I got a picture) definitely was like a homemade marinara which was very good, very flavorful! I ordered the ny strip with a baked potato, which was the most perfect baked potato I've ever had hands down soft all the way through, the steak I ordered medium rare and it was perfect just the way I like it. Also got a side of scallops, broiled, which were pretty perfect too. Husband got a medium rare rib eye with potato wedges and that was cooked perfect to his liking. Service was great and food came out in a timely manner, we were well taken care of! 100% we will be back for more!!

Fantastic food and huge portions. The "Big Joe," prime rib was so large I only ate half of it and took the rest home. The staff is great and the drinks are strong.

We were here on a Thursday and they were a bit understaffed. Despite the staff running around the service and food was good. We came back the next day and the place was full of both patrons and servers.

Steak was very good. They're very veteran friendly. If your a vet you get to eat for free.

Short staffed for the night but everyone stepped up and did a fantastic job. Constantly checking on customers, making sure they have enough drinks and sometimes being chatty. My girlfriend had the snow crab and I had the porterhouse. Both were very well prepared and delicious. I'm definitely coming here again.

Great place. It was our first time trying. We Celebrated our Anniversary there. Great Steak.

The Best Steak in The State of Wisconsin My husband and i ate Rib eye steak I've ever had in my life they really know how to cook a steak here the salad with OK but the dressing tasted really good. I'm definitely going back for the steak alone it's totally worth it very cozy place They're very Nice people they show you great hospitality.

New to the area and have been trying different supper clubs and steakhouses. This one is by far my favorite. They were busy, but were on top of it getting us our table. Food was good. I wanted the catfish, but it was not available that night so i opted for the cajun walleye. It was good, but I'd order something else next time. Service was top notch and friendly. Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend. Well done.

Went there for Veterans Day (2022). Wonderful and free meal for veterans. Old fashions are great and I had a Brandy Alexander for dessert. I had not had one in years and was glad I found one so good. Love how they honor their son who died in Afghanistan. There are pictures of him and I believe parts of his Army uniform. It was busy so I didn’t wander over to see it but I sure will on my next visit.They honor veterans by providing meals. They have frog legs so I can’t wait to try those.
It was very busy and I think it always is, which attests to the great food, atmosphere and service with a smile.
Personally, if I’m getting a free meal I tip the cost of the meal.

It was an honor to eat at this restaurant and well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. The Gold Star owners paid an ultimate sacrifice to our country with the loss of their Marine son and I am honored that they paid for my dinner this evening for being a Marine Corp veteran! THANK YOU and I salute you and your staff! On to the food… my wife had ribs and she absolutely loved them! I usually don’t order restaurant ribs because I prefer to cook my own (mine are the best of course! LOL)…. but I tried a bone off my wife’s plate and I must say they were delicious and I would absolutely order the ribs next time we dine here! I had the prime rib and it was absolutely delicious too! The service was great, Brandy was our server! And we are looking forward to dining here again! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience and THANK YOU for your sons service and sacrifice to our great country!

Bobbie and Joe treat you like Family. The food is so good, I can't even relay how good it is.
My favorite is Wednesday night and Joe's spaghetti and meatballs, I could eat this every day!
