Steam Plant Family Restaurant

Food was delicious. They offered everything, like regular or sugar-free syrup & they even had powdered sugar, which I prefer on my pancakes. When I asked for decaf hot tea, she asked if I wanted green or black! My husband had pecans in his waffle & I had Swedish pancakes! So much variety! Waitress was so pleasant! Quite busy when we got there & I can see why! Walls lined with historic pictures as well as a row of antique sewing machines.

My hubby had the hungry man and really enjoyed it. I had Steak was also delicious it came with a small bowl of medley vegetables, I asked if they can swap for broccoli? Waitress did not even bother asking , she just said that's how it comes🤷‍♀
I know that's how it comes, that's why I'm asking! 🙃
Overall place was clean, food was good and staff was also friendly, prices are also good 👌.

My go-to place (literally) for a quick pick-up of my favorite dishes. Cindy's creations range of different flavors such as the (must try) 'fruity granola waffle,' one of my top favorite and healthier options. The other is the 'berry blast Swedish pancakes,' also delicious. The food, staff, and environment is phenomenal. Everyone is so cordial! 1000x/5---no doubt.

First time here and was a great experience. Excellent service from Cyndi who has been here over 30 years . . . WOW! Salmon dinner was excellent and reasonably priced. Everything was good. All employees treat you like a regular. Definitely will be back and try something new.

Update 10/22 - Had an amazing visit today. We are back after moving out of state. I love the warm family-like greeting! Several employees and the owners came by and said hi and asked how we were doing. Coffee never got low, food was WONDERFUL! Never realize how good you have it till you move away and no longer have a family restaurant for breakfast.

They atmosphere has changed, not greeted like your family anymore. Was never offered refills on coffee like before and the whole feeling is different. Food was good and still made to order.

UPDATE... I think it was an off day! We were back on Sunday, and everything was AMAZING!! Super friendly atmosphere, several people created and chatted like normal. Food was as awesome as always!

The outside of the place needs a little TLC we passed by and it looks blah but the inside is pretty cool we sat in the back room and there were some cool car newspapers framed up on the walls. I ordered a skillet and it was flavorful, the pancakes were delicious and the coffee wasn’t too hot, it’ll keep you warm but not burn your tongue. Our server was awesome she was quick and on it

I have gone here since I was very young and I have never had a bad experience. The current owners and staff have been wonderful and the food is always delicious.

This place is to die for! Almost 2 hr drive and it's so worth it just to taste the food. The food, the people, the staff, everything is just perfect. A little vacation getaway from the city and a more intimate experience. If you want to be treated like family, this is the place to be at!!

The service was impeccable! The food was delicious and the fries were over the top tasty! Brought my MIL in so she could see all thebsewing machines and she was in awe of those beauties! You're located about 45 mins away from home but worth the drive, according to my picky eater MIL. Thats a HUGE win!! We will be back!! Oh, before I forget, it was one of the first restaurants that made going out to eat feel normal. We had the original menus and all the condiments were on the tables as well. It felt really normal, like 2019 normal.

This is a great place! Any chance we get in the area we always go there, especially for breakfast!

Mom and I had breakfast here like we do every Thursday. Mom had the Carmel apple French toast. It’s very good, you should try it. One of Cindy’s creations. Never a disappointment. Love all the waitresses. If you ever have an issue, Cindy or your waitress is right there to fix it and make it right.

The place was amazing, I went with my family for a 1st time tryout. We drove almost for an hour and half just to try out their food. All I have to say it was worth it. The waffles and shakes were to die for

If you haven't been to the Steamplant in a while, you need to pay them a visit. The new management has made fantastic changes. We ordered the country fried steak and the berry blast waffle. Absolutely shocked at how well the food was prepared - it is exceptional for a family diner. Everything tasted incredible. Awesome job to the new owners! 👏

I've always loved the Steam Plant, and enjoy sharing it with my husband. I saw this photo on the shelf after retuning from washing my hands, and was tickled at the similarities between my children's dog, Oscar and as I learned from the server, this dog Tiny, who belongs to some regulars. Good food from good people!

I have multiple allergies and food sensitivities and so I'm kind of a pain in the butt when I go out to eat (which happens rarely). Or server was eager to help me find things on the menu that I could eat safely and checked ingredients listed in the kitchen for the items I ordered. The food was delicious and just the right amount to walk out of there stuffed and happy. Tables and environment were clean and pricing was reasonable. Definitely recommended.

Love coming here. I always feel welcome and the food is delicious...I had a vegetable omelet with Hash browns...

This was a fun little place we stopped at without knowing a thing about it. Great food, great coffee, wonderful service. The restaurant was decorated so nicely and and explanation of it's name was on the walk too

After hearing that things went downhill here, I felt like I needed to share my review! The food has been wonderful every single time I've been there. Literally, not one complaint. The staff is also very attentive, friendly, and professional!
