First Baptist Church Shallowater

Beautiful church, and wonderful people. I attended with my mom and was very welcomed.

They have 2 services every Sunday. 8:30 has traditional music and 11:00 has contemporary music. I love having a choice. I enjoy the music at both services. The music at the contemporary service does not hurt my ears, I don't have to bring earplugs. This is important to me. The pastor and congregation are great. Our daughter really enjoys attending the children's ministry and she asks us almost daily if we can go to church.

This church has hired a youth pastor that shouldn’t be in a pastoring position due to recent — VERY recent— unbecoming behaviors of pastoring children. I am very disappointed in the church for deleting any comments that allude to this, as well as their refusal to address it via private/email.

People that go here should be aware of who is REALLY pastoring and put in a position of power over people, and Michael is NOT it. The church refusing to address this and sweep it under the rug is a massive red flag.
