My wallet was stolen at a gas station. The officers showed up promptly. They were courteous and professional. I could not ask not ask for better individuals to help me. The Ozark police department are to be commended for their actions. My wallet was found shortly thereafter. We are going to host a pizza party for them. Thank you so much for your service to us! We are grateful for your service to our community!

As a trans person, it’s really awkward in public sometimes. The officers who took my finger prints for my legal name change were professional and kind! Much appreciated

Just witnessed a domestic upon arriving at my parent's home. A unit showed up within 5 minutes, asked me a few questions then proceded to intervene in the display going on in the yard up the street. The officer and his backup deescalated the situation and went on about their business. Great job keeping it clean and professional OPD!

This is the only police department I've ever seen that is unavailable and hangs up on you.

Was driving from Troy to turkey hunt in Dothan in the early morning hours around 4:45am and had a car harassing me since Troy. The vehicle was speeding up real fast and then would slow down and ride along side me then drop back and then speed back up again and repeat. Also was flashing lights behind me and tapping their brakes in front of me. This happened for nearly 30 minutes. Decided to call Ozark dispatch since I was driving into this area to see if a police officer could make a traffic stop bc the car had a headlight out so it would’ve been a legitimate stop. The woman on dispatch on 4/28/18 acted like I was a total idiot and nothing could be done. I guess people have to be on fire, shot or dismembered to get any damn help. Thanks Ozark Police Department for making me feel safe. To NOT protect and serve.

Very disappointed in Police Operator I spoke with today. Called them to ask why there was no police presence helping with the HEAVY traffic from the Hurricane Irma evacuation. Told operator that the lights needed adjusting on Hwy 231 as there was a huge traffic jam going north. I also mentioned that several other towns I had been through showed police out directing the overflow traffic and she said they didn't have the manpower to do this. Very argumentative and defensive. Sad. Imagine my surprise when I got up to Troy and there were 4 or 5 police cars on Hwy 231 and there were even people controlling the lights to help move traffic through more quickly. Ozark, you can learn something from the officers in Troy!

My husband gets a phone call about a family member being involved in car accident. Was told they needed someone to come get the vehicle since our friend was being taken to hospital by ambulance. We go to accident site find no police or our friends vehicle. Googled phone number call and get no answer. Called number listed for chief of police no answer. Go to police department doors are locked. Great, so we went around back and seen a officer going towards building kept trying to get his attention that was unsuccessful. Walk up to building doors have authorized personnel only. Really can we not get anyone?? Looked in window see 3 people in office having conversation laughing and was waving my arm to get the detectives attention. He looked right at me and looked away and would not look back and kept right on talking and laughing. Finally an officer comes out the back door and we get assistance. The officer that was at the wreck comes out and tells us that the vehicle was not able to be driven and it was towed to a garage. Would have been nice if they would have called back and said that was what had happened. This was a very disappointing experience with the Ozark Police Department.

This police department are the worse. I called for a officer to come to my home. It took him 40 minutes to get here and when he got to my home, he was not writing down any information other than my name and what country I originated from (why does that matter?)
It is so sad we have officers that do not care about the people of Ozark nor care to protect them!

I hope that higher officials take into consideration my reviews and others!

The older lady in the office is rude & nasty! I called about having some simple fingerprints done for a job. So gone tell me yes we do them but get them done where you live! If I could have I would have instead driving to Ozark. Plain out rude. Said part is God do not condone in ugly!

No wonder no major businesses want to locate here.....when they see the police department is rated 1.8 on a scale of 5 that is pitiful
