Days Inn by Wyndham Davenport IA

When I got an unusually inexpensive hotel room (way under $200), I was delighted. I got into the room and there was a chemical smell. I didn't bottle my distress and write a savage review later--I talked to the front desk & they put me in a different room. Okay, they came up to smell it themselves, but then they believed me. I was thinking they were making crack or meth in that room but the lady says it was probably hair dye or beauty treatment.

The hotel is quite old, and it showed in the decor, amenities and even the bathroom tile. This did not, however affect the cleanliness nor the hospitality of the hotel staff. The room was perfect and spotless, though very slightly rundown, and the hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The free continental breakfast was quite small, but it seemed reasonable for the low price of the rooms.

For all of the bad reviews the room was clean, no bugs and no odors. Asked the guy at the front desk about the rating and he mentioned that management had changed and a lot was done to improve the location recently. Seems like a nice place now that the changes they've been working on are completed or close to it. Water pressure is a little low but all in all that's nothing compared to most issues with hotels we've seen.

Convenient location. Rooms are very clean. Staff are well informed, helpful and very nice. Also they have a continental breakfast, I haven't been able to try it yet but just having it is a definite plus.

It was very nice had air when I was hot. I just wish I could have got a smoking room. The food was good for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helped out when needed.

bias on this my care giver works front desk and i know the owners i lived there for three months from 2011 to 2012 the machine shed restarunt next door extremly good, and bowling alley across street. fantastic place in house laundry and best desk clerk in the business

I think it's ok for the cost per room is the typical hotel that reeks of tobacco and dog but let's be honest we always want to save and look for the lowest prices.

The General Manager was exceptional! An unfortunate situation arose, and was handled very professionally. Five star General Manager 2 star motel.

Clean room, great price, quiet environment. Friendly staff. When ever I'm broke down and my truck is at the freightliner for repairs, I'll be staying here.

It's a very nice place . the rooms are well maintained & very clean staff are good to customers and visitor.. Well and would recommend it to others...

Great place to stay had a loud neighbor manager allowed me to change rooms very friendly manager undergoing remodeling lobby looks great all the staff are very friendly rooms are clean and cozy will be staying here next time truck is in shop 😎

The cleaning service is outstanding, there is coffee in the room, and the breakfast has Belgian waffles!

It was nice it was friendly kids safe environment loved it restaurant was right down the street they treated us very very well we had a blast celebrating trayvon's 14th birthday

They have parking for big rigs in back, great rooms also, will be visiting them often.

Location is really good. Room was nice and service was really good. The people there are really polite.
