Let me tell you I never met a more positive place to play games then at Board Knight. I started going since my therapist told me to be more social Tom the owner is so freaking nice and cool same with the people who play and work there and no one is stinky!

Community is great, with amazing employees. They offer little bit of everything for card game enthusiasts. They run a mix of MTG, FAB and Yugioh.

Best local game store in Decatur, IL. Staff is always friendly and helpful with plenty of products on hand for Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, and more recently Lorcana, in addition to a large variety of board games. There's something for everyone here!

Came in just to browse for Christmas gift ideas and I loved the selection! Friendly staff offered to answer any questions I might have, and showed me that there were demo boxes in case I wanted a better look at some of the games. If you haven't gone in just to look around you really should!

Great place! I go to a lot of the full-line game stores in Illinois and this is one of the best. They have a smaller inventory than some, but will order what you need. The important thing is that they are always friendly, and willing to help, especially if you're like me and are indecisive on what to get. Krystle has helped me pick out probably 3 or 4 board games and all of them were great! They have a shelf full of board games for playing, in case you're on the fence about one, although not all of the board games they sell have another copy that you can play. Also, Tom has been very helpful in teaching me how to play Magic : The Gathering, and there's almost always other people there playing it.

Very friendly, patient, and informative staff. The people that frequent the establishment also pitch in to help out with information and insight. I have to say it was a very positive experience with every single interaction, whether on the phone or in person. I cannot say I have a single complaint. Two thumbs up.

Board Knight is awesome. I go for Magic, but also good for pretty much any card, board or role-playing game. Owners and staff are wonderful; it's a fun and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages.

I am not rating this store. Instead I am rating the game community that stands behind this store. We have an amazing group of players that are warm and welcoming to new people. I am proud of them. I hope you will come in and play some games with us.

I'm a gaming enthusiast. I enjoy playing a variety of games, I enjoy going to gaming conventions. Heck, I run a gaming club. I'm a gamer.

I tell you this so you'll believe me when I say this - Board Knight is second to none.

They have a pretty nice selection of in-stock board games (and they can special order for you anything that they don't stock). Their prices are very reasonable - about what you would pay from the discount online retailers - and hey, you're supporting a local store. They're heavily into the Magic: The Gathering scene. They have a ton of cards (packs and individuals) and accessories like sleeves and deck boxes. They have a nice assortment of role playing game items. And they've also started carrying comics!

They also do a great job of holding events. The back part of their store is tables, and they're always doing something - either a MtG event, tourney, etc, or board gaming, or Warhammer events, or hosting RPGs. There's usually a lively crowd!

Owners Kevin and Krystle are amazing. They're friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. If you don't know what you want (maybe you're buying a gift), they'll work with you to find something great.

There is ample parking in front and behind the store. They also sell snacks and drinks if you decide to try out one of the many games from their demo shelf.

So check them out next time you're in the downtown Decatur area!

The man who helped us was very nice! They didn't have the game we went in for, but he helped us find another one that fit our needs. We will definitely be back!

Board Knight is the Gaming Store Decatur has been waiting for... and the gaming store it deserves. Everyone goes out of their way to make it feel like a second home filled with surrogate family. Like any family, we could use a bit more space, but once you visit you'll be hard pressed to hold it against them. Come on down and prepare to stay a while. :)

Great service, love the shop there, its fun, they have good merchandise. I enjoy playing DND there and Magic the Gathering.

This is a great place to find off-beat board games and other card based games. The owner, Krystal, is super nice and the place is a charm to visit.
