Norma's North Star Cafe

This little off the square cafe was very "homey" feeling -- filled with what I think were locals. That's how I knew I was in the right place -- ALWAYS try to find where the locals go, they know who has the best food! I was not disappointed.
What i was super impressed with was that their staff knew SIGN LANGUAGE! a group of deaf patrons was there and their waitress was signing to them. I am not deaf, but I gave an extra star on my review simply because I appreciate it that they take the time to make ALL their customers feel welcome!

So much great food, affordably. Wonderful, friendly waitresses. And Owner, Norma, is a beautiful, hospitable lady who cares about her employees and customers alike. Breakfasts at Norma's is the the absolute best, in my opinion! Try a veggie omelet . Yummm!

Home cooking just like Grandma use to.

Food is down home style home cooking, eggs fried to perfection, bacon the same way not to crispy and not to soft. I really enjoy this little restaurant. Food is always amazing! The folks taking care of you meal are really friendly. This is a little slice of food HEAVEN.

I just want to say awesome and amazing food and service. This morning November 1st 2021 was my first time eating there and I loved it. Also the prices are very good I highly recommend eating here any time of the day. Thank you so much plus I put my order in my fiance's John's name. I definitely will be ordering from here more often 🙂

Great diner. Good food, good portions, good prices, friendly staff. I will definitely be returning here next time I am in Jacksonville. They really made me feel at home and like family.

I got the breakfast shoe, which was delicious and huge. The coffee was good. Each mug was completely unique, which I enjoyed tremendously.

Unfortunately, Norma has retired, but, the business is still open under the name of Kim's cafe. They serve the best breakfast and to get the breakfast ham is a must. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. They can take a joke, but be prepared to get one back. Highly recommend.

I totally love this place. You can get a great meal at a great price. All the waitresses are very kind and I almost always see someone that I haven't seen for a long time!! It's great.

It's a family business so it's more personal, food is fresh and delicious, staff gets to know what you like, it's just overall a good comforting experience. Thanks for having my sweet tea when I come in Maria! 😊

I'm out here for a while for work and found this place on the internet and absolutely Love this place. The service and food was everything I remembered from a small town DINER growing up and the prices were more than fair and affordable. Thank you Norma's Star for staying true and Blue...Red...White and Blue that is.

The place is nice. the food proportion are great. I got the ponyshoe and was plenty filled. It didn't cost much and the quality was decent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Always friendly fast service feels like sitting at home with large group of friends and family. Norma always comes to your table to say hi. Eat there alot love the food and great service.

I love this place! We take family and friends here whenever we can. Definitely a great sit down restaurant. When its busy Sunday mornings service can take a while but the atmosphere is great for relaxed conversation.

Excellent service! I had the breakfast special which consisted of eggs, choice of meat, choice of bread, choice of potatoes, including coffee for $6.25 which I consider a great price for a complete meal.

The food is good. Just wish they wouldn't put sugar in the sausage gravy. It's not supposed to be sweet like that. Just saying.
