I came to this supermarket for the first time. The place is super big. There are a lot of things. It's just a little messy. Seafood is very fresh and there are many kinds. The meat department is also very fresh. There are many convenient parking spaces. There are also many small snacks. It will be a good choice to be around here later.

A enjoyable way to sample foods from another country. Especially enjoyed all the flavored chips, candy and other snacks. Lots of places to eat- a food court and 2 restaurants. Lovely housewares and fun shopping.

The only Chinese grocery store has a huge parking lot. You can find some unique items here. Good selections off vegetarian items that you don't normally see in Chicago. The food court has good varieties of food. Dim sum, noodles, Chinese BBQ, bakery and Sushi. Meats are packed like American grocery stores but you can also get them from behind the counter if you need bigger or smaller portions. Very large fresh seafood selections.

Great spot for grabbing any type of Asian ingredients. The building where this grocery store is located is very nice and modern. The bathrooms are decently clean but not the cleanest.

The restaurants are nice as most of them have a very convenient way of ordering but when it's busy, it's busy. We ordered our food but didn't get a text that it was ready until 10 minutes later. Thankfully, I checked with the food vendor and it was made before we got the text. We did not try the hot pot on the first floor but the restaurants on the top floor were great! The food from all of the places are excellent choices of Chinese food. Can't go wrong with any of them as they all looked and smelled delicious.

The products in the grocery parts are all very well organized. The meats, veggies, seafood and other products looked fresh. You'll be able to find all sorts of Asian snacks, coffee, tea, candy and much more here. We didn't have any trouble finding the same snacks that we have at our local asian grocery store.

The parking lot is packed but there is a second lot not too far from the building. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the first parking lot was full. The surrounding area is a bit sketchy so remember to lock your door. Other than that, nothing happened to our car.

Overall, an excellent Asian store with amazing Chinese foods available.

This mall is cute. The 88 marketplace is inside Jefferson Square. It has much variety and it’s a huge place. The prices are fair but not cheapest. But the fact that you will find like 10 aisles of candy and chips and snacks is enough to come here. There are like 6 rows of just frozen dumplings. It’s on a second level after you go up an escalator. It has a seafood and meat section as well. If you want and need variety for pan Asian food you should come here. Free and massive parking lot which is hard to find in the city of Chicago.

This market has a great fresh seafood and frozen seafood section. I always buy pork short ribs in their meat department. A wide variety of Asian sauces, noodles, snacks, drinks, and fresh produce. The food court is excellent for a quick authentic Chinese meal, but the lines can be long on weekends. Their bakery counter has a delicious selection of Asian cakes, buns and breads.

I’m here to manifest something but first let me tell you a bit about this place.
True the location looks an feels sketchy but nothing to be afraid of. A lot of parking available ( free ) they also have a gravel parking in case you come with a van or rv.
As soon as you go in you got a restaurant, a cute cotton candy vending machine, a boba place and some clothing stores. Upstairs there’s the marketplace and the food court ( you gotta stop by the food court! Is a must!!! Trust me on this! There’s also a bakery ( grab that savory loaf ).
The marketplace is huge. Since is a Chinese one the predominant products are Chinese of course, and quite a lot of Japanese ( sweets ) as well. The variety is huge, the have everything and the meat & fish departments are out of this world.
Now the price point of view I’m delighted. H-Mart is crazy expensive 👀 comparing but also H-Mart has more Korean products rather than Chinese so is nice to experiment both. I spend quite a lot at 88 Marketplace and I was so surprised to see they have the Chinese Oreos here.
The one parts that needs to be taking care of are the fruits and veggies. There’s not a big variety they have ( like other Asian markets ) but otherwise I found so many products I was desperate to find. They also have the Taro Binggrae Ice Cream ( I was looking for it for 2 years ) and they also have the dough for egg tarts. They also have a huge selection of drinks which made me really happy.
I absolutely love this place and as for me manifesting something, I hope to see you guys bring the brand Do King ( tapioca pearls in cans ). I’m obsessed with them!
I do recommend you to visit this place cuz is absolutely fantastic!

This place is awesome. Hot pot and boba next door. Free Parking available. So many gems if youre looking for merch as well. Make sure to block out a few hours if your time to make sure you can walk around the entire building (grocery, hotpot, etc). They have better prices than Hmart so get your essentials at 88 Marketplace at lease

Huge store with so many different options. I was happily surprised to find tons of plant-based options as well.

I was there at the incident Angie Morris made comment about and did not see her offer or give any assistance to the injured woman 🤔 the woman she said did was the manager who gave her a cup of water. and the security was posted outside out of range of incident and when informed of incident responded offering to call an ambulance which was refused by injured person who stated they were alright and did not want assistance they had just donated blood and felt light headed causing the fall..the security also gave her napkins for her wound offered a bottle of water and brought her a chair which she refused..due to liability laws and policy security is not allowed to perform any physical contact or first aid treatment..so maybe Angie should get the whole story with facts before posting negativity. This place is brilliant...a hidden gem! Great selection, helpful staff and affordable! Found my fave Asian store!

What an amazing place. It's so huge it was overwhelming but in an okay way! There were so many things to look at...I feel like I will need to go again.

Some of the best variety of Asian food I’ve seen. We love making trips to Chicago just to shop and eat there. I highly recommend the milk bread and buns.

Aisles upon aisles of yummy 🥮🍭🍬snacks can be a blessing and a curse. Expect to add an hour if you are on snack hunt beyond the regular grocery

The market has a huge frozen 🍦🍥🍨section for ready made dumpling, baos, ice cream🍧，mozzarella dogs, mochi glutinous rice balls to name a few favs.

The fish/meat 🍗🥩counter has fresh cuts that you can pick and choose.

The enormous selection of drinks 🧋🥤🍹🥃🧉🥛🫖includes old favs and new must trys.

Traffic is horrendous unless you shop non-holiday weekdays during working hours for everyone else or resort to hitting the market weekends at about 8-9am.

Note most of the in store food vendors don’t usually open until 10 ish with a couple (BBQ king, Dim Sum) offering limited menu at around 9am.

I love it because they have different kinds of Kit Kat's, chips, and noodles. They have lived fish and meat section. They also have a frozen area where you can find dumplings, buns, and all different kinds of desserts. They also have lots of decorations for the new year.

Prob the nicest Asian grocery in the Chicagoland area. If you want Chinese groceries, this is the place to go. Decent items. Also good food court with bolo bao and Chinese BBQ. They also have sushi and pho places within their food court.

Visited again on Jan 2022. Still great and have lots of hot pot ingredients available!

Awesome place!! If you are into Asian food, it is a MUST go!!! We spent hours there's eating and also looking for Asian ingredients... So much fun...

This place is great. The market has a huge selection of goods. That being said, I feel like there is still a ton of work that needs to be done to bring this place to its full potential. I think it will look very different a year or two from now. 👍

Really like this market. Much better than others that I’ve been to in the Midwest. It’s generally clean and well stocked. The bathroom is not the best though. The bakery outside is good too! The prices were decent but sometimes weee is cheaper so maybe they can have more discounts here and there. People are always friendly working there.
