Tavern On Clark

Our server was very nice. She was also helpful and got everything. I did run out of water, but I didn't ask since half my party wasn't going to drink their water. She had 3 big parties by herself.

This place is a nice restaurant and pretty pricey. My sister told me a good choice in picking this place for my birthday dinner. The ice cream and flower were cool. The Creme Brule was really good. They have good choices for kids as well. I have a pic of the portion of Mac and cheese. The fried bacon was delicious and better than I expected. Chocolate sauce is a must with it! I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

We've been here several times. This was probably the best food & service we've had there. It was a very enjoyable Friday night dinner. Our cocktails were generous. However, our only complaint would be the wine selection. We enjoy reds & we found the reds available by the glass were subpar & overpriced. Prisoner (which we don't even consider a decent wine) is priced at $19,00 a glass! We ordered a bottle of another red & even tho we kept it, it wasn't very good. There are so many good reds out there available at a very moderate price! Please consider some better wine selections. Also, please take this comment in the helpful spirit it was intended. We will be back!

The best thing is, the restaurant is located in the midst of a cluster of hotel chains. It was so close, we could have walked to it. Even though the parking lot looked full, the place is big enough to handle a crowd. They also do a good carry out business.
I had the chicken marsala, that was exceptional. The Clark burger was very good. We had prompt friendly service at the bar. Numerous TVs were tuned to different stations.

I had the Cajun Red Snapper. The menu said that it was served with bacon risotto, and being pescatarian, I don't eat bacon. The chef was kind enough to substitute the asparagus risotto, which was on the special for the night. The food was delicious. However, the fish still had the skin on, and it was not crisp enough to eat. It was flabby and unappealing. Everything else was perfection.

Stopped in for lunch and wanted to try their Baked French Onion Soup. This is one of my favorite soups and I’d heard great things about it. It exceeded expectations. The soup came out hot, as it should. I cracked the mozzarella cheese lid and let it cook a bit. My first spoonful was perfect, cheese onion and soup. Absolutely delicious. The bartender Paige was welcoming, conversational and perfectly attentive. I can’t wait to go back and try the Scallops, Filet Mignon and Crab Cakes.

Our server was Jennifer C and this was the first time we had been there and it was for my birthday! The place was immaculate, entire staff super friendly and our server was hands down absolutely amazing!!! I had not 1 but 2 of their chocolate martinis and oh boy they’re delicious!!!!

Our dinner was delicious, and the service was great! Our server was a young lady whose name I do not recall, but had merlot colored hair, was very good at her craft. We came specifically for the Surf and Turf with lobster. YUMMY! We treated ourselves to a piece of NY style cheesecake to split, and it was excellent. PS: excellent "Dirty Martini" with blue cheese olives. We'll definitely return!

Had an excellent rueben sandwich for lunch the other day. It came with what they call "sidewinder" fries. You have to experience them to know how delicious they are! Great selection of meals and spirits. Nice place to take that special person to if you really want to impress them! The decor in this establishment is very high-end. Beautiful place! Wonderful staff as well! I will definitely be going back.

You know that feeling; the feeling past having to unbutton your pants; like you are just so past full you don't know how your body even has room to take in air to breath? This is how you'll feel after leaving TOC. The food is so spectacular that you won't have leftovers, but you'll order a whole second meal just to take home. The ambiance here is gorgeous, very clean, upscale without the hefty pricing. Very friendly staff, Kelcey was top-notch. There is no doubt, I'll be back, probably within the week, mmm probably tomorrow!

Our waitress was amazing definitely Top 5 Service of all time. Alex was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. Food was delicious and presentation was great. Love the fall menu and adventurous twist on things. Will definitely come again.

Very yummy, great place to eat or even just have drinks

The food was fantastic. In a group of 8 with an average age in the 60s, it's hard to go somewhere without someone complaining. Every plate tasted great, was nicely presented, and reasonably priced for what we got. Totally excellent.

Went for dinner with a work group. Everyone ordered a steak (3 different kinds) and they were all cooked perfectly. The waitress was great. We never had an empty glass and all the food came out in a timely manner. We then went to the bar for some drinks and the service was phenomenal. Paige always has such a great attitude and is always in a good mood.

Met a friend here for dinner during the week and was such a lovely surprise. The food was wonderful, our server was fantastic and it was just an all-around great experience. We meet halfway in Rockford and wanted to find a new place and this was such a wonderful surprise! Can't wait to come here again and try something else on the menu.

Some of the best food in the area! We had a group of 6 on a busy Saturday night. Felt like we were the only table in there. Excellent service, very attentive to our needs. Made great suggestions for the menu. I had a ribeye which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My wife had the chicken parm which is made with homemade pasta. 2 of our friends had ribs that fell off the bone with a fork. The soups were great and so were the appetizers. This is our 2nd time here, and we cant wait to go back!

Love this place! Great food, wonderful selections and we had superb service from Bella. Has a warm tavern atmosphere woth outdoor seating. Give it a try!! You wont be disappointed 😊

It’s a can’t miss! Was highly recommended and absolutely didn’t disappoint! Cheese stuffed bone-in pork chop, craft double IPA, topped off with coffee and an out of this world Lemon cake! Who knew!?!?

Waitress was on point! Nice atmosphere, great food, and does not break the bank. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner date. While I enjoyed a nice strip steak, I saw other items I’d like to try.

Filet and lobster great. Done to perfection. Cheesecake ( I love it plain) wonderful, not too sweet. Lemon and custard cake my husband said was great. He loved the lime drizzle!
