Village West Veterinary

Village West is hands down the best vet experience I've had in the 13 years of owning my dog. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always very friendly to myself and my pet. They take appointments on time and give an itemized list of pricing before starting any treatment. I've met with 4 of their vets and each one was better than the last. I never thought I would say that I'm sad I will have to be transferring to another vet since moving out of the city.

If you're looking for veterinarians and staff who care as much about the animal members of your family as you do. Village West Veterinary couldn't come higher recommended from me. Dr. Silverman has been there to give comprehensive and appropriate care to our love ones and fosters.

I recently moved to Chicago and I’m very happy that I chose this spot for my cat. They have been incredibly thorough, responsive, and thoughtful. I brought him in for both a general check up and then a sudden illness and both instances went extremely well. Thank you Victoria and all the doctors for providing such great care! Honestly the most calm experience for my cat ever. Very kind, knowledgeable and they know how to interact with your pet in a safe and comfortable manner. Would 1000% come back here in a heart beat.

Been taking my two dogs to Dr Silverman for years. He's not only a great guy, but is very knowledgeable, professional and responsive. I particularly appreciate how he'll respond to any questions I have about my boys' care via late night and/or weekend emails. He cares, and it shows. The staff is top notch too.

This is really a great place. My cats may be a little anxious to go there but I always look forward to seeing Dr. Silverman and his caring staff. They all love Bessie and Emma, our cats, and sometimes that makes me jealous! The clinic is clean and comfortable and Dr. Silverman has been there for us even at odd times of the day/night. Village West's work with saving animals from animal control is legendary! And for that and the reasons mentioned above, I'll be with them as long as I have animals running the house. If they worked on human patients, I'd sign up!

Village West is the only vet in the area that truly felt like they cared about my kitty. Their prices are great and their location is nice, but feeling like the people caring for my cat care just as much about him as I do is what's most important to me. SO thrilled I found them so early on in my cat's life!

Village West Vet has been our vet for nearly ten years now and always takes excellent care of our dog. The doctors and staff are always so supportive whether it’s helping us when an emergency arises or getting a prescription filled quickly, they are always kind and efficient. They also do a good job of reminding us when our dog is due for check-ups, etc. We really appreciate the entire Village West team and highly recommend them to anyone in the West Town/Ukrainian Village/Logan Square area. I can't say enough good things about this facility! I've been coming here for years and have seen several different doctors as their staff has changed over time, but the quality of care has remained the same. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog. Even after moving to the other side of town, I still make the trip back to see them every six months. The best!

Very pleased with my 2 cat's examination Dr Silverman performed a through exam I recommend this veterinarian to others staff was very nice as well. Also she was treated for blood in her stool with an antibiotic she is back to her playful self with Tonney Thanks to Dr. Silverman and his staff.

We switched Hamm to Village West because we wanted a vet in the city, and also a second opinion on his limp. Dr. Miller was amazing, very informative and gave us a recommendation on a surgeon for the TPLO surgery (Dr. West at VSC). We recently went in and Dr. Silverman saw Hamm for a cough he had, and he was also super. We highly recommend Village West! They let you know the options, techs are sweet to the animals, provide you quotes, pricing is fair, not pushy or anything.

I'm not sure why I've gone so long without leaving a review for Village West Vet. They've been my vet for my 3 cats for the past 5 years and have been nothing short of fantastic.

The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and well informed. Both Dr. Miller and Dr. Silverman have been a pleasure to work with.

For the most part I've only seen them for routine check ups and the like, but recently have had to get more involved for one of my cats, and they have been great support through it all.

Without a doubt I'll continue to have my cats cared for here, they really are great.

I don't have too much experience thus far as a pet owner (we adopted our dog after it's previous owner passed away), but I'd recommend Village West to anyone and everyone who cares about their animal friends.

I live about a mile away from Village West Vet though and am very pleased with their service. The staff is friendly, the pricing is reasonable, and it has been very convenient to make and attend appointments and their clinic. I like best though that they're patient with me and indulge the questions I have about stuff that I don't feel like googling: when will he grow out of biting? how to I clean his ears? is [this] medication or [that] procedure necessary?

As a cat owner, you probably know that sometimes vets are just better with dogs and it can be tough to find quality and comprehensive kitty care but believe me, if you have a cat this is by far the best care you will get in the city! I brought my two cats here before, loved the care they got but moved further away to the other side of the city. So I tried yet another chain vet closer to me and was horribly disappointed in how my cat was treated, how uncomfortable he was with the staff, how my main concerns seemed to be ignored and how broke I was after it all. I went back to Village West the next day, was immediately put at ease by all of the staff and even though my cat wasnt feeling well, he was so much more relaxed and now recovering! Honestly, no one compares to Village West Vet in Chicago 😻

Doctor Silverman is an amazing person! I've been coming here for a few years with my dog and cat, always satisfied with our visits. This year my dog took a turn for the worse. The staff and doctor were amazing through one of the most emotional moments of both my dog and my life. I truly appreciate the doctor diligence in helping my dog get back to herself! I took my senior dog here when he was getting sick. He was 16 years old and I was worried they were going to tell me that it was his time and there was nothing they can do but they did the exact opposite. They gave me multiple options of what we can do to help him and told me prices before they did anything. I never felt like they were trying to up sell me things like at other vets I’ve gone to and they made me feel as comfortable as possible. When it was time to put him down they were so amazing and comforting throughout the entire process. When I went to pick up my dogs ashes they gave me a card signed from everyone with a little nice surprise Inside. I felt like they actually cared even though they only saw my dog twice. I am so glad I brought him here. I would definitely recommend. They are amazing.

We have received the absolute best care at Village West! All of the staff is super friendly and caring and it is obvious that they put our pets best interests and needs first. They also look out for us owners, making sure we always know all of the options and costs up front. In addition to their exceptional everyday care, we were recently extremely grateful for Dr. Silverman when he stayed a good 7 or 8 hours late on a Saturday to perform much needed surgery on our cat. We are lucky to live in the neighborhood but would happily travel a great distance to bring our pets to Village West!

I can't say enough good things about how happy I am with the care my dog received from Village West Veterinary. I've struggled for months trying to find a good vet. Most practices can't see you for 2 months and when you're finally able to get in they do everything they can to jack up your bill. Village West stands out from the crowd. I was able to get an appointment within a week and they truly care about me and my dog. They worked with me to develop a treatment plan that balanced coat with efficacy. Again, I absolutely love Village West!!!!

After talking to many people, we brought our dog here for the first time. Everything was smooth from the scheduling to walking in, and even getting our dog's medical records transferred. Dr. Bruce was very thorough and explained everything in detail. He really enjoys taking care of our furry friends. The staff were all top notch as well. Going to Village West Vet is a great experience.
