What a cute and cozy little bookstore. We had such a wonderful conversation! From one bookstore owner to another - great job!

I've been going to this bookstore since it first opened ten years ago. It's an important part of the community that supports local authors and creatives. They always have the latest popular fiction titles with personalized staff recommendations. They carry unique greeting cards, vintage comics, queer-friendly literature, and affordable used books too. I love the children's section with the toy area.

Super neat little store. The lady that was working while we visited was super friendly and very helpful to a book illiterate redneck like myself.

This quaint bookstore has a small selection but you can find some great gems here! If you like non-mainstream, this place is for you. Then, it’s a quick walk down the street to Elm City Roastery for a great coffee to enjoy with your new reads!

Such a great local bookstore on the square! I love the variety of new and old books, genre of books, and other items that they have (such as a lovely selection of cards). My husband and I just went here and he found a book that he loved. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back and recommend this shop!

This is a great independent book store with a wide variety of books, new and used. It's extremely cozy and relaxed, with an owner who is clearly passionate about books. The smell is everything you hope for when you walk into a bookstore. The selection for children has expanded, and it sounds like it will continue to do so. The owner is very willing to order titles if you can't find exactly what you're looking for.

Greetings from Tampa! I have family in Jacksonville and visit often. Our Town Books is always on our agenda. This store is fabulous! Krysten And Dane sent a Mother’s Day Gift package to me which contained an assortment of fun toys—a colorful notebook, special black & white checked pen, bookmark, chocolate candy bar, and my favorite new discovery...an orange/vanilla scented exfoliating loofa bar soap. Divine! During the COVID period, they closed the physical store, but you can order online and still support the store.

Amazing local business that goes the extra mile to make sure they can help you. If they don't have a book your looking for there is a good chance they can order it for you, they have very reasonable prices and the staff is top notch

My hometown, Jacksonville, Illinois, is lucky to have the Nursses and this bookstore. It is located in an early 20th century building on the Jacksonville Square, which the city is rescuing from mid-century urban renewal.

I visit Our Town Books almost every time I am home and with an interest in history always find something of interest, new or used. The owners are cool with customers--and interactive. Not long ago I mentioned the book, "The Woman Behind the New Deal: The Life of Frances Perkins." As FDR's secretary of labor, Mrs. Perkins was the brains behind the New Deal. By the time I left, Mrs. Nurss had ordered it.

I was sorry to see Andy leave the bookstore, but the new owners are great, knowledgeable people and will provide a great kid friendly bookstore to the Jacksonville Community.
