If you are looking for good Israeli style grilled food, this is the spot. Very tasty food! The staff is very friendly. The service is great.

Absolutely fabulous. Spacious, comfortably lit, and well ventilated. You would never know the shawarma and grilling takes place openly right across the counter. But you can't miss it as you look across the large room over the happy diners and along the walls adorned with beautiful art depicting Israel and Judaica.
Vibe is comfortable and, casual, and family friendly.
Service is fabulous and waits are completely reasonable. The Israeli salad, in deed, all of the salads, are fresh, addictive, seasoned to perfection. The pita is hot and fresh and fluffy. Imagine my delight when my 8 year old tries the shawarma for his first time ever and says "it's amazing!"
The wait staff are sweet and attentive and polite.
I expected the Yemenite soup to be thicker and to come with pieces of meat but the flavor was there and it warmed my soul.
For desert do not pass up the home made baclava or pareve ice creams.
Kids menu includes chicken nuggets and a burger sans veggies. With sides of fries.
Can accommodate parties of few to many.
Order the ribeye with a side of Israeli salad and fries, some hummus and fresh pita and feel like a new person. I can't wait to return and try the curry chicken.

I ordered Taboun to my hotel room. We loved every dish and have ordered before. The flavors are distinct and delicious and the meat is tender and smoky. We will certainly order again.
We ordered the baklava and haven’t even eaten it yet tonight. From past experience though, it’s the best I’ve ever tasted!

Taboun Grill is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Chicago. Their food is always fresh, the place is clean and the staff is attentive and friendly. The lunch special is a great value. The prices in general are quite reasonable for kosher.

We had the best time, the best food, and the best of everything at this restaurant. I loved the relaxed atmosphere, and the service was spotty on and friendly. And the food- the food was amazing! It transported me back to Israel!

Middle Eastern Kosher. We had a pleasant light lunch with pita sandwiches off the grill. Don't miss the Yemenite soup. They have a kids menu that was just fine for our three year old.

Ordered carry out. We had some particular dietary restrictions and a Very attentive person checked my online order and called me back to make sure thing will be acceptible. Food was delicious and very fresh!

Wife and I came to the city to pick-up groceries and on our way home we decided to grab food to go. I was feeling Mediterranean and so found Taboun on google. It was probably the best Mediterranean I've ever had. The schwarma on laffa had incredible flavor. My biggest disappointment for Mediterranean places is that I always have such high expectations then it ends up tasting bland. This was most certainly not the case at Taboun. My wife got Kofta in a Laffa and felt the same. We also got an order of fries and the mezza platter, super fresh and delicious. The order was ready promptly and when I was looking for help to get some extra ketchup the hostess was extremely attentive and friendly. Can't wait for our next trip to Chicago to get Taboun again.

My favorite Kosher restaurant in Chicago. Food is tasty, nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff that goes above and beyond to meet our needs. I absolutely love it. I highly recommend it.

Dinner started with being greeted promptly and seated at a table. A starter of beets and pickles were brought to my table and water. I had particular dietary needs (vegan) and my server guided me through the menu for vegan selections. I had split pea soup and a falafel pita. The food was fresh and good. I finished the meal off with tea with Nana (black tea with fresh mint.)
The only Israeli grill around. I went during Hanukkah.

I love Mediterranean food. Taboun makes the best Hummus and I enjoy the falafel here very much.

This place is consistently amazing. Never had a bad experience. Delicious food, friendly service. Their homemade pitas are out of this world.

After spending a few days in Chicago, my husband and I wanted to find a quiet place to have lunch. When Taboun Grill popped up on my google search, I had a feeling that it was what we were looking for. It was perfect in every way-very clean and spacious, quiet except for the laughter and joyful conversation of the family who owns/runs the restaurant. I felt very welcome and comfortable. Our server was especially nice and helped us order a perfect meal. The food was light and fresh and we left feeling satisfied and energized to continue our journey up north. If we are ever area, we will definitely stop here again!

Wow! What an unbelievable experience! The shawarma was worth the wait. Absolutely delicious you could taste the freshness of the food. You can tell they care about what they do. Great service and very friendly. Al cares about what he does. I will be back plenty of more times with my family.The best !!!!!
