Taqueria La Placita

Found this place at random and so glad I did. I ordered a steak taco and it was delicious!

This is a small hole in the wall place but the food was terrific! They owners were super nice. Nothing fancy but man was the food and service were great! We will definitely make the drive to come back here!

The meat is very fresh and has a delicious flavor, just like Mom cooked it.

Satisfied does not fully describe how grateful I am. With no hesitation or exaggeration, I believe this was the very best burrito I have ever eaten in my entire lifetime. It was cooked to perfection and generously portioned. The service was exquisite and made me feel like tu familia.

I was in the area and starving. I didn't want any traditional fast food, so I opened Google Maps and search authentic Mexican restaurant. This was the first one on the list, and it was right around the corner from where I was located.

Finding high quality gems like this is what Chicago is all about. As long as they keep up the great work, they forever have a lifetime fan of your patronage. Thank you so much 😊.

This is a hidden gem located inside a neighborhood convenience store. Amazing Mexican food made fresh. I have gotten burritos from here twice, and they were excellent both times. I got a steak burrito both times. The burritos are so big that I was only able to eat half of it and saved the other half for the next day. Generous portions of meat and cheese. The staff are lovely. I do not speak Spanish and the women I interacted with spoke limited English, but this was not an issue. We worked together and were able to communicate with one another. I love that there is a stand with antibacterial hand sanitizer right next to the counter for customers to use. They also have a little area to dine-in. I highly recommend La Placita!

Food was good! It was our first time stopping here. We were just passing through. Their tortilla chips are homemade and they were great. I ate wayyyy too many.
I had Gorditas as well as my hubby. My daughter ordered a torta. Everything was good!

The best neighborhood butcher around!!! I ALWAYS come here....They prepare and serve the best meats. The butchers take extra care. Small selection of produce but they are ripe and they best i have seen in some big chain businesses. They also have a little restaurant that you can order tacos from! Sooooo good and if you walk to the south west corner they have a restaurant:)) A MUST TRY AND WORTH MORE THAN 5 STARS

Best tacos in McKinley Park. There is a small kitchen ran by 2 women that make the best tacos and gorditas in the neighborhood. The store also has a good selection of goods and the butcher has a variety of meats. Heads up the kitchen does close about 1 hour before the store closes.

I drove down to Miami to visit family and stopped at this taco place called La Placita Taco Grill. They had some of the best tacos I've ever had in Florida and there's plenty of places to get tacos in Miami!

I had the chicken tacos and I split a chicken quesadilla with my sister. The cost was very reasonable and the food was great. Cool vibe here too. I'll be back for sure.

Just happened to stumble on this place. It's a nondescript storefront with a modest quaint interior. I ordered 4 barbacoa tacos. Barbacoa is a simmered beef. It's usually very lightly seasoned which is a nice way to say bland, but it's tenderness is why I get it.
La Placita hit it out of the park. Juicy tender and yes very flavorful! The tacos were also really big. Big bang for the buck!

Haven't been hear in a year or so but don't ask me why. Everything was really good at a reasonable price. The chicken tacos are huge! Looks like I'll start being a regular again.

Great and authentic Mexican food. Some seats and tables inside so you can eat in. Service was really fast, and the waitress was very friendly. The food tasted great. I'd revisit happily when next in this neighborhood.
