Dr. Gyros

Great fries. Good hamburger with really good bun. Just right for lunch size. Fast. Friendly cook. Very friendly girl behind the register. Boy could she multitask! My order was juggled and absolutely correct, given as soon as it was ready -nice and hot. Very nice price for what I received. Couldn't finish it.

I had never been here before, until my boyfriend took me a few months ago. He loves it so much. We have since been multiple times. It is delicious!! We always order the gyro and french fries with cheese sauce. The food is always hot, fresh and amazing. We are never disappointed. Highly recommend!!

Food was pretty good. The staff was busy but polite. I actually left my purse there. I called to see if it was up there and they even looked. Couldn't find it because it was barely visible... lol. Amazing stop however. I'm going BACK!

For five days I’ve tried gyros in various places all over Greece - the birthplace of gyros. And this little place in Rock Island surpasses them all in taste. Only my opinion of course but these folks really make good gyros.

I always love coming here. The food is always made well and the French fries are probably the best I've ever had. They're probably a little understaffed, but I still don't have to wait long for my freshly made order to be ready. They're called Dr. Gyros & they make them well, but there's a whole lot more to them than that.

Another great place off the beaten path. I love their gyros here. I have taken my kids who never had one and they loved it. Took my husband and he was amazed. We tried a place in the west coast and I was so disappointed I told him wait until we go to Dr. GYROS they are amazing

What they may lack in atmosphere, they make up for with curing hunger pains. The Italian Beef is divine. The Gyro was delightful. As the shirt reads; "Mary had' a little lamb."

I have no idea how I haven't been here sooner! Prices are appropriate, everything has a super mom-n-pop feel, and the food was A M A Z I N G!!!! I tried the Italian beef and my friend had the blt gyro, both phenomenal, ready in less than 5, and piping hot. Legit the best Italian beef I've ever had! This is my new favorite spot and I would recommend this place to anyone, the aesthetic from the outside might not seem very appealing but what they lack in style they make up for in super tasty meats. I swear, just give it a gander and you won't regret it.

If you like real fries, not healthy fries, this is the only place in Rock Island that you're going to get them. If you miss Henry's they have a killer tenderloin!

The food is excellent, the gyros are amazing with large cuts of onions and tomatoes the meat is flavorful the bread is warm and soft, and you get a huge order of fresh piping hot fries with the perfect crunch. Great food

Excellent gyros, and friendly service! I have eaten dozens of times here and have never had a bad experience. During lunch or other busy times I can call ahead so my order will be waiting when I get there. I honestly have never had anything here other than the gyros and fries, because I always enjoy them and haven't felt like trying anything else. The portions of fries are huge.

This is probably my favorite locally owned restaurant. The food is always excellent, and the staff is welcoming and helpful. The rare issues that I've had were always resolved more than satisfactorily. It's always the first place I recommend when someone is in the mood for sandwichy goodness!

We are from Davenport and wanted to try a new Gyro place. The lady that took our order was so friendly and helpful to all our questions. The restaurant was very clean and everyone was friendly. The portions are great and the flavors were amazing! We Can’t wait for our next craving for Dr Gyro’s!

We used Dr. Gyros for our outdoor wedding of about 100 people. They were very accomidating to our needs. The food was excellent and was packaged and ready as promised. We had both Gyros and Italian Beef. The guests raved about how good the food tasted and that is was such a good idea to deviate from traditional outdoor wedding foods. Thank you for such a good experience!

Always great to support a locally owned and operated restaurant. The owner was also the cashier and cook. Made sure I got exactly what I ordered and was happy with it. Super friendly, great food at a fair price. Clean restaurant. I'm not sure what else anyone could ask for

First time i tried a Gyros. The waitress was telling me how good they were and let her know.Four days later I'm going back to tell her she was right on target. Very good . If u haven't had one that's the place to go

Cant be that and like I said Excellent....
