Quick place to shop with awesome prices

Over the past few year aldi has turned from a bargain grocery store to a quality yet affordable grocery store. I only go to hy vee or jewel if I absolutely have to. The rock island location is preferred only because its closest to home.

Self checkouts have dominated the check out portion. Some people don't like self check out because it's not their job. I like it so I don't have to make small talk with a stranger. Set 2 bags in the bagging area, organize it how I want at the check out. I no longer have to get my groceries out of the cart twice for them to be bagged.

They had some decent prices, I remember when potpies we're .29¢ at Aldi's now they are.99¢ still cheaper than Walmart's @ $1.18 I hadn't been there for a while, I was just there as a tag along with a friend, so I was checking out the prices. I will definitely be back.

Love the great prices and friendly workers. Always find everything just fine with no problems.

Love the clearance items I buy them for gifts for the shelters especially the kids toys boots shoes the only problem is the tags never match the items so it's a hassle and time consuming for the employees have to go check and they never are the correct tags or over charged for items it might sound like a big complaint but it's a easy fix

Great store. Respectful staff. During this epidemic, stores are treating every customer like potential thieves, Walmart will have 6 people watching you. This Aldi does not have employees stalking you. Very peaceful ty.

Great selection of items and from what I can tell the stuff isn't half bad, not a whole bunch of ingredients and extra stuff you don't need. All priced well too! I really can't complain, some of their selections change every so often but even with that they're still awesome, staff is friendly too! Oh yeah remember to bring a quarter for the carts but if not most the time people are legit and will give you theirs after they're done with it. 👍

Update: 2 years later, all is still well at Aldis! I love their produce, prices, and SITTING CASHIERS. WHY TF CAN'T CASHIERS SIT STEVE?! STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT IT KAREN! LET THEM SIT!! Okay, but seriously, how is this an argument? How does sitting have any negative effect on their performance? If anything they are 2x faster then checking out almost anywhere else without self checkout. Still a 5 star place!!

Always a great place to shop. I was looking for the at the German foods - sadly couldn't get find the strudels 🥺

Good place to get most things that you want

Lots of variety, cheap prices, good quality items, nice and friendly staff and clean inside

Aldi has really stepped up their game since I was a kid. They have that aisle of shame with all kinds of seasonal stuff. They carry exponentially more goods and quality goods since I was just a lad. They even have beer and wine. Ikr?! Beer and f@&#ing wine! Never had it though. Interested in someone's review of their alcohol though.

Great grocery store with fresh vegetables & fruit as well as inexpensive meat prices!!! Very helpful staff and clean store!!!! Great selection of German foods. If you find something you love, go back & stock up it may not be there all the time.

The store is always very clean and well stocked any time I've been there. They are usually quite busy which can at times be stressful, but the money you can save there more than makes up for it. Although there are a few exceptions, most of the store brand items are just as good if not better than the name brand items. They also have an aisle with a nice selection of cookware, utensils, and other goods. Be sure to bring a quarter for your cart and your own bags with you to bag your items. The staff have always been very quick, friendly, and helpful. For people such as myself that are on a tight budget, ALDI is a life saver.

It's a good store, with the stock consistently rotated. The latest remodel is pretty terrible. Produce as soon as you walk in creates a bottleneck & the "aisle of shame" is broken up into 2 aisles in an awkward fashion. There's also an aisle that doesn't make much sense because it primarily includes things that are in other aisles and don't appear to be special buys. I feel like it's lost some of the efficiency I appreciate about aldi, but I really can't beat their prices or quality.

Great value and great employees

Today I was pleased to see many items for those of us getting healthy the Keto way. Lots of organic items and reasonable prices. Today I found patio chairs at a great price. I will be making. the journey even more frequently.

Prices beat all other grocery stores. Quality of their products are as good or better than name brands. Less selection than other grocery stores but they had everything I came in for, everything I needed and a few items that were surprises.

Love Aldi, always offers random food finds!
