Left for a morning walk, and had the entire space to myself to explore ❤

If you're a nature baby, you will appreciate this place and all its beautiful there is to see. It has sitting benches along the walks so you can just sit and listen to the birds, wildlife, and get lost in a sunrise or sunset over the waterfront.

I just sat and watched the autumn leaves fall. It was serene, peaceful, soulful.

Nature Therapy indeed.

What a lovely area! There was a fair amount of education, which I found very informative. My family really enjoyed trying to pick out the different geometric shapes! Definitely a great example of how historically we didn't make super respectful choices, but have taken get strides to do better! The picnic area is fairly large. The trail around the springs was very buggy so definitely pack bug spray!

I love this place. It's so quiet and peaceful. There's a lot to see whatever season it is.

Incredible historic place! The park is looking AH-MAZING with all the volunteer hours put in by Effigy Mounds Initiative group & others. Excellent protection & preservation measures taken to keep the many ancient mounds here, safe for thousands more years.

As many years as I've been in Dodge County I've never come across this place. Turns out it's only 15 minutes from my house. It's kind of a moving place. Peaceful and really serene and pretty. The path as you get close to the pond was pretty slippery and muddy, so watch your step. I only walked a portion of the area. It is a beautiful time of year, as the colors are changing, to be anywhere in Wisconsin. Always nice to check out something new. Just off Highway 33. I can't wait to come back

Really enjoyed the trails! They are very well kept up. Especially enjoyed that the trails are mostly in the shade. The pavilion is very nice!

This is a hidden gem, packed with a port a potty, a pavilion and a pond with springs. Not to mention the hiking trails, the history and mounds them selves. The trails were clean and well keept. All in all a very nice time.

This isn't a large park, if you've got an hour to kill, it's worth exploring. Some mounds to check out, information, a pavillion, and a little spring to check out. There's 1 porta potty there so, keep that in mind if you've got little ones with you

THE ENTRANCE NEEDS TO BE MORE VISIBLE. I know where it is and still miss it.

A Beautiful place with deep historical roots, where the veil between the worlds is thin. For thousands of years, #NativeAmerican peoples travelled to this place and may have called this area home for extended periods. Be sure to take time to rest at the water's edge. The fresh water spring offers purity not often found in todays age.
The #EffigyMounds are difficult to imagine and much more work needs to be put into this area to realize the #history buried here.
