Oh my God....this place is fantastic. A small, homey, neighborhood spot that looks like a place DeNiro, Pesci, and Pacino would meet for a meal in a movie! Fantastic recipes, and outstanding, caring, personal service! Chris our waiter was so personable and knowledgeable! The owner was sweet and caring! We'll definitely be back!

Melrose Park, being known for its authentic Italian restaurants, is a veritable treasure chest of top-notch family owned Italian eateries. A few go back generations as do their home cooked recipes. As such, no restaurant-hunting excursion would be complete without a stop to one of Melrose Park’s truly iconic Italian establishments. Abruzzo’s. I’ve been there often and it truly “never gets old”. My personal favorite is their weekday, M-F, lunch buffet. I’m 100% Italian and as a group we can be VERY picky when it comes to our food. That’s why I keep returning. I know REAL Italian food the moment I taste it. To sound cliched, it reminds me of Mom’s.

In the Italian/American culture there is no higher compliment. Don’t waste your time deciding.

My brother and I ate there Thursday night it was absolutely mouth-waterly delicious everything we ordered we were So Satisfied we cannot wait to return from the bread amazing to the Baked clams, the stuffed artichoke the girl calamari linguine with white clam sauce my salad with a mixture of garlic and blue cheese dressing like I said we can't wait to return we loved everything service was amazing thank you Abruzzio's🇮🇹

This place is wonderful, the food was amazing and the staff is very lovely and attentive. This place is a 10/10 in my book. I would definitely recommend and will be coming here again :)

What an absolute delight! Pure warmth and welcome from everyone working there. Given it location tucked into a residential neighborhood, you might think ‘neighborhood gem’ — this is much more. Truly top notch Italian cooking with house made pastas and fantastic sauces that could challenge any downtown place (and best most). The bread felt like something a grandma made in her kitchen. Loved the soup, then was blown away by my gnocchi with spicy vodka Arrabbiata sauce. Companions raved about the pizza and pasta with scallops.

Definitely go here! And we will certainly be back.

If I had to nitpick the row of video gambling machines did not seem to fit with the rest of the space and atmosphere. Must be a good money maker, so understandable.

The food is fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. The place is lively and fun. Kris was our server, he was attentive, amusing and helpful.
This is a friendly and welcoming place that won't disappoint.

Found this place on a stop over in Chicago. I absolutely loved it! Best marinara sauce EVER! I have been looking and tasting sauces ever since I was a teen and we moved away from my favorite Italian restaurant in CA. I have never found the "right" taste until we happened upon Abruzzo's! With the first taste my jaw dropped and my eyes popped! My husband thought I was having a stroke! "This is it!" I yelled!! Now, the sad part: I live in Seattle! I have already decided that ANY time we fly and have a lay over it has to be in Chicago just so I can come here for spaghetti!

I have been nothing but impressed with the food, drinks, service, and environment of Abruzzo's Italian Restaurant. The cocktails are phenomenal, the area is an amazing place to relax and chill, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely check out this place if you are in the area.

Found this place on google it looked nice and was rated well and let me tell you this restaurant deserves the five stars I'm giving it. I'm so glad we decided on going there the food was DELICIOUS! Best Italian food I've found in years. The staff was super attentive, cozy environment, I had some of everything ordered at the table and every entree was better than I've had anywhere else I cant see how you could chose wrong here. Also if you enjoy a cocktail their expresso bean cocktail was exceptional as well. I can't stress enough how worth it this place is.

Abruzzo’s serves some of the best Italian food in the entire Chicagoland area! The eggplant parmigiana is out of this word! The staff are awesome, and go out of their way to make your dining experience fantastic.

Staff was attentive and welcoming. Ate in bar area as it was weekday and not crowded. Had the special which was an enormous portion and delicious. Will definitely return. Come with an appetite and you'll be taking leftovers home!

Delicious food. Very large portions. Great friendly service. Very nice outdoor patio. Parking lot is tiny but lots of street parking. Reasonable prices.

This place is amazing! Took my father out to dinner for father's day after his first pick had a 45min wait. Ended up having the best father's day diner as a result. The food was amazing, the waitress was awesome and had the best experience possible. Thank you!

Needs more spices, but you can still enjoy a meal. Skip the clams inless you enjoy small clams.

I started coming to Abruzzo's during the lock down, where there were not many restaurants open besides carryout. Thankfully Abruzzo' restored my sanity by having indoor dining. Long story short I have been coming back ever since. The food, service, and atmosphere are exceptional. Love the old fashioned Italian theme with Tony Bennett singing in the background. And let me not forget our server Chris. The best of the best. He really knows how to make you feel comfortable and at home. I look forward to having a great meal, every time I visit.

We rented out the back room for 75 people for my Grandmother's 90th birthday and there wasn't a single complaint by any of the 75 guests.

The service was amazing and make the whole event nothing short of PERFECT.

The price for such a large event was very reasonable, especially for what we got!!

They didn't even mind when I accidently filled the room with smoke when I let up the big "90" sparklers on the cake!

We had Salad/Bread, 2 pasta dishes, 2 entrees, vegetables, and ice cream for 75 people and the food was very very good!

The chicken was flavorful, the pasta sauces were "Home Made" in flavor.

My friend has been going here for years and recommended them for one of the most important parties our family had in quite some time and not a single person there wished for anything different.

We've recommended this place for parties to family and friends across the city and WILL be returning the next time we have any type of event.

Best lasagna i have ever tasted. Also had some Italian sausage that was spectacular. Staff was wonderful and felt like I was a welcome friend of the family. On our way back home tonight and thinking about stopping again.

friendly, warm and all around inviting when it comes to making you feel welcome and a part of a family atmosphere. As far as food it is the same. Especially if your looking for a trip down food memory lane. Its definitely a food trip back to Grandparents house.

The staff and service was wonderful. Prices weren't too bad for such a nice place. Parking can be an issue, if they're too busy.
