Cafe 1923

New favorite coffee shop!!! Very casually academia, in an old building and has been here for a few decades. The atmosphere here is wonderful, and they have plenty of tasty options from Italian sodas, pastries, muffins, and lunch options from pop and wraps. Brilliant space to relax and read in with walks of books around. Can’t wait to come back and become a regular!

I attended an evening reading for a book launch and poetry. Wonderful venue, great cappuccino, friendly service, a quaint, intimate space.

An absolutely fantastic coffee shop! I really enjoyed the fact that they have a study space as well (though I don't have a picture of it). The coffee was delicious and the vibes were great. I went at 5PM which is an hour before they close; they weren't busy at all and my coffee came out in less than 2 minutes.

This cafe been here for quite some time! always a good experience. Favorite part is the library room. The drinks are a little cheaper on average compared to others

Very nice chill coffee shop with multiple beautifully designed seating areas. Definitely a strong French vibe which is fitting since it’s located next to Detroit. Huge selections of free books to read while enjoying a great cup of joe and a quick bite to eat.

They have 3 flavors of sugar-free syrup!!! Great atmosphere and acoustics.

Really cute spot with really comfortable chairs in the library area. Patio is really nice and people are friendly. Coffee isn’t too milky and enjoyed that as well.

I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but the latte I had was very good. They have a nice selection of coffee shop foods. It's a cool old building with plenty of seating.

Dope place, lots of places to sit inside and outside. When I went there were people in the corner debating unionization and other lefty political views. It was amazing to hear people talking about what’s going on in our world. I got a ham and cheese wrap (½) it was delicious, pretty simple but good. I also got a latte which was tasty. The line was long as there was only 1 employee making the drinks but it was a nice enough ambiance to forget about it.

An amazing shop. Thanks coffee was AMAZING! Plus the artists that are featured and or perform there are truly a wonderful expression of Detroit and Hamtramick culture.

My favorite cafe in the entire world. Perfect lattes. Took my mom here when she visited and she gave the seal of approval by returning at least a dozen times. I wish I could live here.

Cafe 1923 has an eclectic style and feel. It has a nice laid back atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and the iced green tea is the best that I have tasted. I also enjoy their Colombian iced coffee and pastries.

This is a great place to slow down and actually enjoy your coffee. It has character and is very welcoming. There are great spaces for sitting and chatting, and it’s not too loud. They have a wide variety of drinks available. I’ve only had their coffee, and it’s great. $5 minimum on their card reader, so I would recommend bringing cash if possible!

I could spend hours just looking at the books here.
