Astro’s temporary setup in the roastery is cozy and functional. Same great coffees, espresso drinks, and service as the flagship spot, plus Ochre is just next door. Nothing beats a flat white and an almond croissant. Lots of outdoor seating in Core City Park, and plenty of parking in the vicinity.

Trendy place just off Michigan avenue. If you like specialty coffee this is a must visit location. They also have really good food and cakes (with a few healthy alternatives). Easy to find parking also around. I took a cortado that tasted very good. Coffee beans, gourmet chocolate and equipment can also be found here to purchase. Also great breakfast items :)

special place in corktown. i always hope for places like these to visit and support. tasty drinks and they have small bites too. the cafe is gorgeous. ambiance is stunning. the espresso seems better than the pour over, my only hair to split.

This is an awesome little coffee shop, located in Corktown (Detroit). I loved the environment and the Flat White espresso was delicious. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

I was visiting friends here from LA and found this spot. So, SO good. My cup of java was amazing. The atmosphere was calming and pretty. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this spot. When I come back I will for sure be going there again.

I travel all over us for work and stop at a lot of great coffee shops. This one is one of my favorite. Top three. Coffee is fantastic! Really good selection of coffee from some of my favorite roasters. Worth going out of your way.

I got the hot chocolate and a slice of Coco bread that was amazing!!!
They are kind of slow, so if you're in a rush you might want to skip.

Love Astro coffee! I ordered a skinny latte and a ginger molasses cookie- the cookie was fantastic! My boyfriend ordered a latte as well with an Anzac biscuit. He is originally from Australia so it makes him super happy to see there is a place making homemade Anzac! We were able to spend the afternoon drinking coffee and getting some work done on our laptop. Lovely little find in cork town!

Cosy and hip with beautiful floral chalk art on the back wall. Coffee is to a high standard and their Cortado is on point. I make this a regular stop on visits to Detroit and if I lived here I'd be here several times a week if not daily.

Cool coffee shop right by slows. Made it out here with a friend early Saturday. Quick and tasty coffee. Pretty hipster. What I'd expect from a coffee shop in Detroit in cork town.

I've been going to Astro since 2016, and I'm so happy to see it back open and better than ever. I love that they always have affordable and quality coffee options on the menu, and that the expanded bakery selection reflects the excellent work that this team put into their sister storefront Ochre. Astro remains, hands down, the best coffee shop in Corktown, even with an expanding range of fierce competition.

Astro is one of my favorite coffee spots in Detroit! The coffee is amazing, I love buying a bag of it and getting a free cup of coffee. The food selection never disappoints and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. It won't be as fast as a place that has had coffee sitting in a pot all day but once you taste a cup you'll agree it's worth a few extra minutes.

Best pour over I've ever had from a coffee shop. One of the best espressos I've ever had. Great place to get fresh coffee. I picked up 2 bags one roasted in Boston and one roasted in Portland and they were both only days old.

Great atmosphere for relaxing with friends or talking plus the most friendly service from the staff.

As I was drinking my Lemon Ginger tea, I heard several others who had just visited raving about the great cup of coffee they were drinking. One person said it was the best coffee she ever had. And yeah my tea was quite good.

With the boom of craft coffee businesses, this place serves as a reminder of what a coffee house should be. Great atmosphere, laid back, unpretentious and inviting. Their food is great for a quick lunch break, but where this place shines is their impressive coffee selection, emphasis on quality and process. Do yourself a favor and check this place out
