Kalamazoo Public Library - Oshtemo Branch

This was my childhood library and I'm so happy that I get to use it as an adult as well. When I was a kid, this was the most magical place in the world. The buildings spires and colors really helped to cement that idea. The Oshtemo township park being right next door is incredibly convenient if you have kids of your own. The nearby trails are also a personal favorite.
The parking lot just got some work done and looks lovely. The outdoor book drop offs are incredibly useful. Their self check out stations inside make my trips super quick and easy.
I have not gone to any of the events since I was a child, but I remember them fondly and have plans to go to a few author talks scheduled in the New Year.
If you are a Kalamazoo Library member, I highly recommend looking into their electronic recourses as well. Libby and Hoopla provide free access to e-books, audio-books, as well as some music options. KPL also recently set up Kanopy for free movie and TV streaming.

We love the Oshtemo branch of the library. We drop off our books, choose new ones, then take walk in the park. Today there was a very determined frog nesting on one of the poles holding up the walking story. He was on the "red bird, red bird, what do you see?" pole. But definitely should have moved two story pages down to be on the "green frog, green frog" pole!

A rather small library, but with a decent selection of books and movies for all ages. I love walking here from Lillian Anderson Park; it’s also right by the Oshtemo Township Park so it’s a two in one trip sometimes! If you drive here, they also have large and spacious free parking.

Took my two young boys here today. No disrespect to the downtown campus, but I will be making this branch my go-to from now on. My boys LOVED it. It has a great place for them to explore, play, and read; toys and the like to keep their attention; a keyboard to plink on; and what looks to be a very comparable selection of books to that at the downtown branch. Big benefits here - low people traffic, convenient location (right on W Main, so no turns and one ways), and close parking right on site.

I like coming here for a quiet peace of mind. Also when I need to make photo copies.

I love the library staff and the location is so beautiful with the park and walking trails in the same campus. The library has a smaller collection of books but members are able to request titles from other library locations and the KPL digital catalog is quite extensive.

Love it!!! Love how I live in Paw Paw and was able to get a library card. Big and better library around the Oshtemo area. All sorts of movies and books to read. Anything you want to read about they have it. Also they have computer usage for people who don't have Wifi. Also many more activities for kids of all ages. Also a children's libary and movies for the young children. Will always use this library it's worth my trip.

Quiet and clean. Good parking and glad they are open all day on Saturdays.

Excellent place to find some great books, dvds and other reading materials.

Love this library. Live the size. Don't have all the titles, but you can always have materials transfered. Friendly staff, lost of computers, anda quiet atmosphere.

Great programs for childrene and people of all ages. Very nice buildins with plenty of room for everyone. Especially like the children's room and the programs for pre readers. Plus free parking and a park behind the library.

Nice local library with a selection of kid- oriented and family activities. We don't check out many books because we read electronically, but we enjoy the events.

Fantastic staff, wonderful programs, great selection. Our community is very lucky. If they don’t have it, they will find it for you.
