Frog Island Park

This is a beautiful park.

I actually stumbled on it trying to find free parking bc I wanted to visit the Ypsilanti fire house museum.

In saying that... It is a 3 minute walk to the museum. This worked out great bc on the way back to the car.. This Park has a great playground, walking trails, and a bathroom.

They also have a farmers market that happens local to this Park. I feel like u could have made a day out of hanging in this part of Ypsilanti with better planning.

So please learn from my mistake lol

I parked at this location and spent the day at the Park and museums. Had a great time.

I saw lots of people fishing at the Park and grilling.

I wish I would have packed more snacks and a cooler of beverages to stay at the Park longer. The kidsos got hungry and I hadn't don't any research on the areas restaurants. BUT there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. This is the historic part of Ypsilanti.

Cost me zero dollars. Had an AMAZING time.

I didn’t get to explore much of this park because the mosquitoes were in full spawn! but the small area I walked was beautiful and people were just relaxing and enjoying nature. I noticed the area is full of down to earth, cool, easy going people. I love a park where everyone is chill. 🥰

Great place for a walk or to bring family and friends. Also, there’s a river that runs along so definitely a spot to visit.

Beautiful walk around park areas, had a great time sledding with grandchildren. I've loved this place for years, walking along the water, great location, met some nice kids and parents. No matter the season, THIS place is a WIN.

Frog Island Orphan Car Show is the best & most interesting old car event ever. Volunteer coordinator & staff are wonderful.

Very peaceful! If you’re looking for a park to get away for a second, go to frog island! Beautiful view and they also have a small playground for children. Go visit!

It's a park. It's like other parks, lol. Except this place always has friendly people and events that happen all the time. Awesome place. 👌

Always beautiful and relaxing.

It's a great place for family outings. Great place to walk around they have a track. Nice and peaceful great place to reflect on your thoughts or just walk the frustration of your day away. There's also a bridge that will connect you to riverside park. That's where you can grill and not sure if it's opened back up but they have a great place for the kids to play.

This place is in such a busy area HOWEVER it is so peaceful!! It is so peaceful. It is an amazing area to chill out from busy life! Me and my daughter hung out there for hours collecting seashells trying to skip rocks still working on that lol. It is an amazing place just to pull over your car or even walk to 2 skip rocks plants find seashells so many things to do here and it's just a hop skip and a jump from busy life all around you! If you want to call and place to go this is it!

This place is very peaceful so if your looking for an area to wander or wonder or sit and eat. If your looking for a place to just be and observe, Frog Island is it. I walk this area quite often and I enjoy it because it is between a railroad track and the Huron River. Giving it a "in the cut" feel, you can come here and really get lost. Theres a walk way to ride bikes, walk, jog, run, and lots of grass to let pets exercise or again I say just be. The main road isn't too far however the park is protected by the drive way entering into the park because it is a hill and the park is sitting in a valley or lower area of the ground from the main road. Bring your children, family, and friends if you love nature and want to experience it a bit without being too far from home or desire a new scenery.

A beautiful natural park located in the heart of Depot Town, Ypsilanti. With a three-way bridge, you can effectively move across the rocky waters that dance below. There are many different events hosted at Frog Island. Check the website for more information.

huge parking lot, beautiful town to explore, very close to everything. the bridge is a nice walk and I love all of the positive graffiti art, it makes it feel very homey.
