Delona Restaurant

The Delona provided our team with lunch as we celebrated a staff member that was moving away. We were very happy with the personal, friendly service we received. The meat was quality and sides/salad were delicious. We area also thankful for how they worked with us on our price point as well. Thanks, Delona!

What a great place for breakfast! We came here twice during our stay in the UP. If you are looking for great, homemade comfort food this is the place. Best country fried steak I have had since moving north. Cinnamon roll pancakes are amazing. Omelets are all delicious. If you are in the area give Delona restaurant a try. Service was friendly, quick and efficient.

Yummm! This place was as delicious as the photos made it look. The wait was a bit long due to only one cook but they gave us a heads up which was appreciated. For one cook I'm really impressed by the quality of food. Plus the portions are quite large! Next time we're in town we'll be sure to stop back.

Fantastic breakfast! I had the chicken fried steak. The breading was very good and the sausage gravy was on point. This place was recommended to me by a local and I'm glad I went.

I’m Raving about Delona’s new carryout menu. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on my way to work. I was in/out with my sandwich in less time than it takes to go through the McDonald’s drive through and Wow what a sandwich!

Heard nothing but good things about Delona Restaurant so I went this morning with my daughter and son in law. You can always tell if the food is good based on the parking lot. And it was nice and full. When I enter a restaurant I like to look around a bit and they had nice pictures on the walls, nice decor, a pleasant atmosphere, the welcoming kind. The waitress took no time in giving us their menu and asking us what we wanted to drink. I ordered the breakfast platter which had three eggs, one sausage, two slices bacon and a half slice of ham with hash browns and two slices toast. My breakfast was very good. The breakfast sausage said it was homemade and boy was it delicious! I think the sausage was my favorite! Who doesn't love good sausage YUM! Can't wait to stop again next time for dinner. 3/3/2018

Excellent Cozy Atmosphere! Friendly staff, great portions, coffee was excellent!

Highly recommend the spicy chicken vegetables soup, not hot, but warming certainly.
Also the pepper jack chipotle burger was fantastic.
Family all agreed food was great.
Very cozy feel to the place. Server was very attentive, and checked on us multiple time through out the time we were there.
My daughter had trouble getting the pancakes to her mouth fast enough, should have asked for the shovel.

Tried Mexican omelet, meat was lightly taco seasoned beef, kind of made it bland. Rest of stuff like peppers, onions, and cheese were good but would be better with a spicy chorizo or something. Was strange being the only customer at that time. Ŵas still pretty good food and I hope they can keep enough employees to keep regular hours and stay open. Good luck!

Phenomenal breakfast! I had the Mexican Omelette & my wife had the country fried steak. Had a bite of her country fried steak, one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Hash browns were homemade. Highly recommend for breakfast.

If you want an amazing breakfast in a clean restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. Then look no further. The staff is great, and the food does not disappoint. Went with a decent size group. We all ordered something different, and everyone was full and happy.

At the very end of our 9 day UP vaca, we stopped at Delona for breakfast with our camping crew. It was our go to yrs ago when we lived in the UP and never let us down and same today!!! The waitress was TOP NOTCH and the food spectacular!! We met the owner and just had to tell him how great the experience was and NO comparison to the food down the road we had for dinner last night. He turned it around to a positive and was sorry to hear his and wished a thriving business for all in his community!!!! Highly recommend for the BEST breakfast in the area!! 14.00 for two of us w coffee and that staff was amazing. See you all again soon.

The reviews were right, this place IS amazing!! My son is the biggest critic of food. A little foodie like his momma. My husband and I giggled at his constant "mmmmm" everytime he took a bite! We had a skillet, omelet, and country fried steak. All were phenomenal! Make sure and get the raisin bread as your side too. It's a meal in itself! Worth the wait. We will stop again for sure!

The food was absolutely fantastic, the waitress was one of the best I’ve had, and the pricing was great.

The 1/3lb burger is a fantastic portion with lettuce, tomato’s, and onions all for the low price of 6.99$
I also ordered a plate of fries and gravy, but unlike other restaurants the gravy actually comes in a proper portion so buying more than one per person isn’t needed.

The fish platter was expensive and took a decent amount of time to cook but the taste in my opinion offset the cost.
The sauces that came with it are small and multiple containers I would recommend asking for.

All in all it was a fantastic restaurant to dine at and I highly recommend it!

Love this place! Decor is beautiful. Now has an outdoor seating area. Menu is revamped & prices are VERY reasonable. I had the Cinnamon Bun pancakes & my husband had the Breakfast platter...we took home two go-to boxes. Staff is welcoming.

Delona's has not lost a step since the first time I stopped here 40 years ago traveling US2 in the UP...food, service, and menu are all excellent! How do you stay on top of your game for decades? Stop at DR and see for yourself!

A definite gem while making the drive through the UP. Super cozy and inviting inside and out, this small scale restaurant served up some great dishes and was the perfect place to recharge and stretch during our drive. I had an omelette which had fresh and largely cut veggies/ham with ample amounts of topped cheese. Portion sizes were plenty and the service was great from seating to tab collection. If we ever had back this way, I would certainly consider a stop here at the Delona Restaurant.

Great place, the food is delicious and the service is great. Ashley D was our server and she was friendly and very attentive. She was also all by herself, as a coworker had called off on a Saturday night. She was the host, server, and cashier for the entire place and she killed it all with a smile. Now that's a great employee!

The Raspberry pie is the best I have ever had! They even specially made me a whole pie to take home!
