For the first time in my life, I can say I had a wonderful experience at a hair salon! I'm 32 BTW. My hair has gone through some changes from weight loss and did some research on where to go. I'm so glad I picked Crystal Skull Studio and Cherish to do my hair. She was extremely knowledgeable and communicated everything with me and made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere was awesome and not overwhelming at all. She didn't push products and even when I asked for products she started with the smaller options first. Instead of pressuring me to spend all this money on products that won't even work for me. I felt confident with my hair and the products I was walking out with today. Cassandra is amazing! Every service I’ve come in for… cut, color, and bang trims have all been top notch since the first time I came in nearly three years ago. They have a great personality and it’s always a fun time when I am in. Thank you Cassandra!

Cherish and Cassandra are amazing. They are kind, nonjudgmental, and so very talented. I have thick wavy hair that has always been difficult to manage. They are able to cut it in such a way that makes it lighter on my head, easier to style, and look great!

I can't express how AMAZING Cherish is. This was HANDS DOWN the most amazing haircut I have EVER had. I have curly hair and people always mess it up some way or another. With this haircut I gained my happiness back AND my confidence back .

I literally got into the car and burst into tears because of how amazing it turned out. Worth the hour and a half drive. If you have second guesses, throw them out the window. Cherish knows EXACTLY what to do. She is knowledgable and extremely patient.

Cassandra is the best curly hair stylist I've found. They are an expert while also never upselling anything. They are kind and inclusive and makes sure they understands what you want. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I have had both Cherish and Cassandra cut my temperamental (very) curly hair and they are both excellent, kind, and patient. As someone who wears hijab, I really appreciated how respectful and accommodating they were to me. If I am honest, there are not many places in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas as flexible and respectful as Cherish and Cassandra. I highly recommend anyone w curly hair to check out Crystal Skull Studios — you will not be disappointed. They are both extremely talented, knowledgeable, and all around good people.

I've got my hair cut here twice by Cassandra it turned out great both times ! And they did amazing doing the styles I asked for ! I have very bad social anxiety but this salon is very kind & welcoming & has a nice atmosphere that isn’t overwhelming ! Definitely recommend thanks so much ! :)

Cassandra took me from black box dye to red hair in one session. I was so nervous and hate getting my hair done but they made me feel so comfortable. I never like talking and usually sit quiet throughout my appointments but I loved talking to them. Also my hair looks AMAZING, I get compliments all the time! I highly recommend them!

Cassandra did a really great job! It’s the first haircut I’ve had in a long time that enhances my curls to the max! They asked great questions and listened to exactly what I wanted. They educated me in how to take better care of my hair type too. My hair is happy and healthy.

Cassandra was so wonderful! I was extremely nervous to get my hair cut, since it had been 2-3 years since seeing a professional, and I get scared going to new places, and they were so kind and welcoming. I felt very comfortable sitting in Cassandra’s chair, and they did a fantastic job on my haircut. I have very long, heavy hair, and he took so much weight off, that I can finally put my hair in a ponytail for the first time in years without it hurting my head. I am unbelievably grateful that Cassandra took such good care of me, and made it possible for me to style my hair again.

I’ve followed Cherish to three different studios over the last handful of years, and I now drive over an hour to see her because she is just that good. I’ve always struggled with finding the right cuts and products for my curly hair. Cherish has completely earned my trust by always listening to my wants and concerns and only cutting and coloring to my comfort level. Cherish asks lots of questions about my hair tendencies, routine, and product and always gives excellent advice. I always enjoy my time in the studio with her as she is friendly, professional, clean, and is carefully following COVID protocols. Thanks again!

I have curly/wavy hair and haircuts were always a struggle for me...until I found this studio. For the first time in my life I can honestly say that I leave a salon loving my hair and feeling really confident.

My first haircut was with Cherish and my second appointment was with Cassandra. They are both professional and equally talented. You can't go wrong with either!

I met with Cherish today for an appointment for my 2.5 year old biracial daughter. I hoped for a haircut and education, and Cherish did an amazing job with both. The studio took wonderful Covid-19 precautions and we were the only ones there. Cherish was great with my squirmy toddler and gave her a cute trim. I so appreciated the education about her hair and products as well as how to use them and protective styles. Cherish not only verbally told me but also emailed me the information. Above and beyond customer service.

Cassandra is the best! They are very talented and provide exceptional service. They have been cutting my hair for the last year and I’ll go to them as long as they’re doing hair. 10/10 would recommend!

I got my hair colored by Cassandra, which as many might know is a long process. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my day! Cassandra is incredibly charming on top of being a total color master. They talked me through the whole process, asking for consent and checking on me through the process. It was a great experience and I can’t recommend Crystal Skull more! Both Cherish and Cassandra are absolute joys to be around and their cut and color skills are some of the most diverse in the area.

Cherish is a fantastic stylist, really knows curly hair, is collaborative, listens and understands what the client asks for! The sink has an awesome ergonomic cushion where your neck rests which is brilliant! And usually I can’t wait to go home and re-style my hair, but not this time; my hair looked great when I walked out! It’s rare to have such a great experience!
