The High Dive

What a great venue! The place is simple and on the smaller side for a club, but it has the amenities you would expect...a raised dance floor, pool table, plenty of bar seating, and an outdoor patio. The service has always been exceptional and they host so many great local events and DJs.

I came down here for Detroit Techno and to see WYLDCAT play.

The bouncer, bartender, and staff were really cool people. The bar had a good selection and everyone was really nice.

I would recommend coming here anytime for a show or just a good time.

Entering the The High Dive is like being transported to the Victorian Era. The cocktail parlor is filled with stained glass, Victorian fixtures and hand crafted wall paper. The owner/bar tender is a world renowned artist who has poured his heart into this establishment and it shows. The cocktails are delicious and they use fresh ingredients. The drinks are also reasonably priced. Most nights The High Dive is supporting local artist and DJ's and has some of the best techno nights. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend stopping in for a drink or checking out one of their events.

I've recently moved to Detroit and I have visited this bar twice already. The owner is amazing as well as the employees. The spot has cool vibes. The lighting could have a brighter ambience.

The bartender creates the experience in most places like this and that's why this place is such a welcoming spot. The music never disappoints even if it's early, grab a drink chat it up and enjoy.

Great spot for a concert!

This place definitely had a Cool vibe to it. Really cool decor see pictures beautiful lights dance floor. Made numerous new friends there from DJ's to Old School punk. I had the "Donk" faygo red with strawberry vodka. Check it out!!!

My wife and I have been here a few times, interior is loaded with eye candy, the music is on point, great little dance floor, and great stock at the bar. The owner slings great drinks and is so welcoming.

This was a great little bar. everything you would expect from your neighborhood bar on a larger scale. Will keep going back for years

The space is gorgeous, the patrons are friendly, the drinks are strong. This place is a new Hamtramck mainstay, and is worth a visit! Check out their event nights for some lively fun.

Love this spot. A hidden gem. Music is great, service is quick. The vibe and decor are super cool. Serious LA vibes, which makes sense because the owner is from there. A HIGH class DIVE bar... now I get it. 10/10.

Great Bar ! Delicious affordable drinks all specifically designed by the owner. Such a great vibe with an awesome DJ. The decor is really cool, and the owner David put up 85% of it himself. Such a gem.

Beautiful establishment. I love the eclectic drink menu, the ambiance and staff!! Best bartenders I've ever came across!!! The owner is personable and seems very involved in everything going on. Love that!

Cozy and inviting. The owner really cares and makes you feel at home along with good affordable drinks. Sound system sounds wonderful already and they're still making improvements. This is the kind of place that hits a high mark and only gets better over time.

It’s like being in Dracula’s castle, but in a good way. Great bartender, great techno and probably the most best happy hour in town. Check. Them. Out. This is Hamtown’s best kept secret. Don’t let it stay that way!

I am in love with the owner, a graffiti artist from Los Angeles, and what he has done with the place. The drink menu is creative and priced well. It is quickly becoming a local favorite.

The building was renovated by an artist all by his own hands, used by parts of old churches throughout detroit. Very beautiful, great drink selection, awesome music

While at Detroit Threads, a local DJ helped me and told me he was going to spin here later. I came back and though he had come and, I was treated to a rotating roster of DJ’s perfecting their craft. A Shiner here, Oberon there while watching the sunset behind Hamtramck with a mind blowing sound track was a great end to a long day.
Go, drink, dance and watch.
