Tap Room

The Tap Room is a historic bar in Downtown Ypsilanti. The service is fantastic. Particularly Tawny and Justin, they are amazing!

The food is perfect bar food. The whiskey and beer selection are on point.

You can shoot pool or just kick back and chill.

It’s the perfect neighborhood bar.

Aaron the bartender is fantastic. We make it a point to stop every time we come up to Michigan. The food here is great, the drinks are very well priced, and it's got a great dive bar feel to it without being dirty and grimy. If you're in ypsi, come have a drink!

I loved it here!!! I went to their drag Queen bingo and it was amazing! The food was wonderful and everyone was so nice!!

Love the inclusivity here! My partner and I are regulars at Wednesday night drag bingo. The beer is good, the staff is really hard working, the kitchen actually knows how to cook an impossible burger, and my partner LOVES the flat bread pizza. Plus you get a free shot on your birthday! I appreciate this Ypsi staple so much. I've never had a bad time here.

Came in late after a show at ziggys, ordered a bunch of drinks ans food for our group, everything g game out hot and the drinks were great. We played pool and met a lot of fun people. Always good people there. The server was busy as heck but took care of all of us perfectly.

The service was awesome. The waitress was very good. She was quick to take our order, she brought it out quickly and was very attentive making sure our drinks were filled and we had everything we wanted. The food was delicious! Very reasonable prices, great atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone.

Last night after the lions loss i went to the tap room to drowned my sorrows. I realize I was hungry and I started looking at the menu, I got a tab burger and fries, this was so tasty, it had everything on it, it's what I needed. I had a couple of pints, just enjoyed myself. The tap room has a rich history in Ypsilanti, my father drank in this fine establishment in the 1950s. In the mid 90s the tap room had a renovation and resurgence, now its a popular hotspot in Ypsi night life. The outside still retains its 1940s appearance. This is a great place to stop in, have a drink, enjoy the atmosphere. So the next time you're in downtown Ypsilanti stop in. The Tap Room is a definite recommend,

Excellent Rustic feel through the whole bar, retains aesthetic from former years. Great, boozy cocktails, love the Moscow Mules here. Sometimes has shows in an addon section. Arcade machine in in the corner near the kitchen holds about 8 iconic games (Ms pack man, Gallaga etc). Great place.

Turkey Ruben was a definite yes for me!! Lots of good quality meat and toppings. Fantastic fresh rye bread! Dog friendly patio is also a bonus! I'm new to the area, but Tap Room is my favorite bar in Yipsilanti, can't wait to try some other menu items!!!

An excellent dirty martini made by Erin. Awesome conversation and atmosphere. 48 years born and raised in ypsilanti but moved away for 20 plus years. I've moved back and this was my first experience at the locally famous Tap Room. I dig it!!! See you again soon!

Went for lunch. I was told they had the best chili in town. It did not disappoint! Both the chili and onion rings were excellent. The barmaid was friendly and efficient. I really like the retro corner bar look and feel of the place. I will definitely be going back.

Has been a favorite since college in the 90s. GREAT cocktail and beer prices.

Love this place! It has a lived in townie feel - it feels like a hidden gem that only the locals frequent, but it's approachable and the food is delicious!

My partner and I go to the drag show almost every week, and it’s always a highlight of our week! Jadein, miss f, and the rest of the crew they bring in are amazing! Some of the nicest people we have ever met, the atmosphere is incredible, and the food and drinks are cheap and good! If you’re looking for a fun night out on Wednesday, there no better place around!

My GF use to hang out here, do we went for an app and beverages and some billards. Fun, classic bar.

We went to Drag Queen BINGO and it was a total blast. So much fun that I wish they hosted it more often!

So happy to see the Tap supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Had a great time tonight as well as many others including NYE, St Patrick's Day, and just random nights out. Great atmosphere, great drink options, and great prices.

I have gone to the tap room before and loved the experience, it had nice bar food and drinks for a good price. but I especially! especially loved! that they host drag nights every Wednesday! I had so much fun! they are always raising money for various causes and it's just such a great environment to be in. I love the inclusivity and I love that is what Ypsi and the Tap Room is representing. Embracing all people of all types as they express themselves authentically. You can count on me Tap Room, I'll spout your praises all day long if you continue this. I just love it so much!

Not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Great service and food.
