Kobe sushi&hibachi Japanese Restaurant

Cannot compare with top notch in New York City but good at NJ. Even don't all indigent(such as lobster,white tune) listed for special roll. Gyoza is good

My husband and I went there this weekend for dinner on Friday. The foods was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the portions were quite large (i was able to eat mine the next day for lunch). I got the steak terriyaki bento box and it was so good. Great local spot!

It was a very nice experience, our family has celebrated birthdays at hibachi type restaurants for many years. My grandchildren were enthralled by the performance of the chef!! Great job!

Kobe is the old Mahzu in Aberdeen. We went to Kobe the first week they had taken over from Mazhu, and sad to say it was a disaster. But Im happy to say if you went then as well, things have drastically changed - for the better. They redesigned the entire inside with a "Fusion" look. New tables and chairs and neon lights. All the waitresses were very nice, attentive and brought out the food as ordered. The presentation of the food was spectacular. And most importantly, the food was excellent.

Definitely check them out if you haven't before and if you were a regular of Mazhu you will be pleasantly surprised. Look forward to going back.

Definitely come here for amazing sushi It was super fresh and the presentation was amazing. The service was impeccable. Prices are very reasonable. Tables are spread apart and were following regulations. They don’t have alcohol but there is a liquor store next door and they allow you to bring in your bottle for no additional cost which is great! 10/10 would recommend and I’m definitely coming back here.

I don’t know why it took us so long to try this place. We live locally and the Wednesday special of BOGO sushi drew us in. The food, and service were excellent. My husband had the sushi and my kids and I had the hibachi dinners. The portions were huge. I’m very excited to come back for many family birthday dinners. The staff was so friendly to my 1 and 3 year old. We especially appreciated the inflatable headbands they give to the kids. It shows that they go the extra mile for there guests. Definitely a neighborhood gem!

Amazing tasting food, the staff was very friendly. The person making the food was very entertaining, he really did a great job. The staff was attentive always refilling beverages. I highly recommend

My go to place for sushi and Japanese food. Kitchen good is great, sushi has great prices on Wednesday, and hibachi is always delicious during those special occasions.

Great service and food. The koi fish pond they have inside makes this place even better.

Fine replacement for what was once Mahzu Aberdeen. Fresh, tasty sushi and sashimi and special rolls make for a satisfying night out. The special Kobe seafood salad is great.

Food was 11/10 soon to be my future wife, food was gas. I loved how daddy i mean the chef squirted saki in my mouth, very refreshing. Almost like the real deal.

Enjoyed 4 meals via pick-up option. Our 1st visit here. 2 adults, 1 adult with dietary restrictions, & 1 child in our party. Came in around 3 pm; restaurant was not crowded. Curtained windows, a small indoor pond feature, & subtle blue lighting helped create a soothing atmosphere. Peaceful, soft music was playing and the temperature was slightly cool versus the hot outdoors.
Pick-up was ready on time and packed well. Food was delicious. The Hibachi Meals had generous portions. Miso soup and shumai were excellent, as were our sushi choices.
Highly recommend Kobe!

We have lived in Matawan for 4 years and i have not been here until tonight. It will definitely be a regular visit going forward. Not only was the food excellent, but what really stood out over that, was the staff. This was the first time trying to dine out with our 3 year old and not only was everyone nice, but they were so accommodating and caring. When our waitress brought drinks and i asked our daughter to say thank you, our waitress helped to encourage her to say it before handing the water. When my daughter was worried the soup would be too hot, our waitress brought her ice for her soup. I wish we got her name but she was wonderful and not the only one! When we left, our daughter was hugging them all. We will no doubt be back. Thank you Kobe and staff!

Such a nice place! Been looking for a while for a good hibachi place.
We were there twice and both times amazing experience .
First time Ethan/aydan was our chef and second time Kevin. They are fun and will give you unforgettable experience.

Request joe! He was such a good time. The food here is EXCELLENT! its BYOB and there's a liquor store right next store. This is not your regular hibachi place everything is so delicious. They even have sushi.

The food is always excellent. The Sushi and Sashimi are delectable delights prepared by Artisan hands. The Hibachi masters provide both fun entertainment and perfectly prepared meals.
The staff is ready to help make your time there memorable whether it is date night or a family gathering. We have never been disappointed at Kobe!

Kobe is my go-to restaurant for all Japanese food. I love the hibachi, sushi and a lot of their appetizers. My favorite appetizer is the rock shrimp. We go there very often to celebrate all of our special occasions. The service is very friendly and welcoming.
