We were visiting from South Carolina and as a Whitney, we HAD to stop while here. And WOW! The inside and out was so mesmerizing! We were going for dinner but canceled -only bc we ate too much pizza earlier. But we really wanted to check the place out, so we went to the bar on the 3rd floor instead. We were not disappointed at all! From the moment you walk In the door, the hospitality is warm and inviting. Greeted w a live piano player by the fireplace, the stairwell reminded me of the titanic (I was there!!) jk. But the building has this extremely original and vintage style. Can’t wait to come back one day from the south! Our bartender, Jordan, was so chill, talkative, busting his a $$, was running around the place, and still kept a great attitude w a conversation. He was incredible! I bartend at a cocktail bar and felt like I suck compared to him lol. We can’t wait to come back one day

I loved coming here! This was the highlight of my trip to Detroit! An old Mansioned, turned to a hospice house, foreclosed on, and then becomes a restaurant! The story of this house is really something to be hold. If you go you must make your way to the top floor for the tour. Because me and my party were all from out of town our tour guide gave us a bit about the history of Detroit on top of the history of the house. There's definitely something extra about this haunted mansion!

Jordan was our bartender last night and he was amazing! Being short staffed and very busy, he still took excellent care of us and the drinks were delightful. Thank you!

Such a special experience! We stopped by for a drink at the Ghost Bar and got a whole historic private tour. Alfred was awesome and we highly recommend visiting this Detroit landmark!

The mythical atmosphere alone is worth a visit.

After a second visit to the Ghost Bar, it has now become a GO TO Detroit destination.

The staff is exceptional. The talented piano player has a great attitude and is a lot of fun.

Strongly suggest the stuffed portobello mushroom appetizer.

Very beautiful and surprisingly chill bar inside the Whitney mansion! The drinks are on the pricey side, but they are worth the price! I would suggest The Witching Hour if you like vodka. Even though The Whitney is a very formal restaurant, the bar is informal but in a very classy environment. If you’re looking for a great drinking experience in a place that makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time, this is the place to go! I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place is beautiful. Their cocktails are incredible, and you have access to the Whitney kitchen. If you're looking for a medium priced drink / meal, this is easily the coolest place you can go and get one. Have yet to see proof it's haunted, but you'll be spooked how much you enjoy your time here (lol had to.)

EVERY TIME I’ve come here (and it’s been a lot over the years) great stories and memories have come from it. And yes, it IS haunted but not in a creepy way; chances are someone in your party will see something they can’t explain. (Last time a friend from out of town mentioned talking to the bathroom attendant -but they don’t have attendants!)

If course the food is impeccable, yet they manage perfect service without seeming “stuffy”. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just dinner with some friends.

I absolutely loved this place. It's beautiful, and the decor is amazing. I didn't get to explore the side rooms or take the tour, but I'm definitely going to come back to do those things. Our waiter (Bradley) was magnificently attentive and complimented the elegant atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this place out for drinks in a unique location.

The Ghost Bar is a family favorite and last night was another great time. Alfred provided friendly and professional service even though he was the only bartender and the place was hopping!
Classy atmosphere and great ambience make for a delightful place for cocktails.

Fantastic bar at a historic and elegant building. Unlike the restaurant downstairs, you don't need to be dressed up for this. You can sit at the bar where Alex, the cool bartender, dispenses drinks and stories. Or, you can choose one of the many rooms to lounge in (try the absinthe room). Free tours are available upon request, depending on the time of day. I'm surprised why this place is not always packed.

Amazing atmosphere, food was out of this world (order the beef wellington) and service was phenomenal! Ask for deb, she made the evening that much more special. Stick around for the paranormal tour. You will not be disappointed.

Our experience was to die for. Beautiful house, very kind people and staff. Live jazz there was fun, we danced like children.

Each level is a different part; level 2 is for desserts and level 3 is the bar and more dining. Try the Witches Brew and the Dark and Stormy cocktails!

So cool. On the third floor of the historical mansion. There was a live jazz band when we were there. Will definitely go back.
