I went to get box braids today and it was my first visit. I was greeted as I entered. All of the ladies were smiling. Although they quickly masked up! I was asked what service I wanted, what color length and size. I was comfortable and the ladies were very gentle with my head. I swear I didn't feel any tension as they braided and I am VERY tender headed. Once they were done braiding they manicured my braids and sealed them. Swooped my edges and I was good to go! My appointment was at 11am. I was there at 1045 and they started right away. I was done at 2pm!! There were two ladies braiding my hair and they did a PHENOMENAL JOB! My hair is NEAT and PRECISE! This was my first visit and I will definitely go back after these braids are ready to come out. IF my experience is like this every visit, then I am a customer for life. Thank you ladies! I forgot to ask them their names but they were all doing great braids on myself and the other clients who were there. I really had an EXCELLENT experience. ♡

The stylists were cordial, welcoming upon my arrival. It was a family environment. My twists came out very nice and in a timely fashion. They also did a great job on my son’s cornrow braids.I would definitely recommend them for natural styling.

Went there to get some tied zillons i love them . The ladies were very nice they also washed my hair for me. I thought the price was cheaper than several other places that I had checked.. they have a variety of colored hair.it took about 4 or 5 hours to complete everything even curling the ends. I know some people are concerned about the braids being too tight mine arent for the most part I did have a couple in the nape of my neck that had to go because they were too tight, they didn't start to bother me until a couple days later. I will be referring others and returning myself.

The staff was super friendly and they made sure I was comfortable while they braided my hair. It didn't take too long for them to braid my hair either. I love my new style 🙂 price was very reasonable

I to Art of African to get my daughter and I her done, they was very gentle with her(6yrs) and she loved her lemonade braids. I also love my knot less braid. The ladies are fun and friendly definitely will be going back. Oh and the price are the cheapest in Ypsilanti are.
