Bonfyre American Grille

A buddy of mine introduced me to this restaurant. It was amazing! Great atmosphere. Probably the BEST pot roast I have ever had! Our server Reagan was great. Awesome service, great personality and very attentive. Would recommend this place. The pot roast. And definitely Reagan!

The food and service was great! For starters, the bacon wrapped shrimp was perfectly prepared. The portion and taste was amazing. The ribs were tender and the meat was falling off the bones. The jambalaya with the jumbo shrimp was excellent. It was a great portion and tasted amazing.

Sea bass special was phenomenal. Our server Brian was also excellent as always! And there’s always room for a mini parfait—the perfect way to finish off a meal here. ❤

Went there for a nice dinner last night with a friend. The dinner he ordered wasn't the one that showed up but the waitress, Lindsey B went out of her way to make sure it was replaced with what he did order. She was extremely good at her job. The replacement steak was superb!
The ambience is very nice. We were surprised a bit at the quality of chairs at the tables, of all things. Very rickety and worn. We had to swap out our chairs with others at nearby tables to find two that either didn't sway badly or didn't have such a divot in the cente, making it uncomfortable to sit at. Time to upgrade to better chairs, Bonfyre!
We'll be back for sure.

Great food and service. Been here a few times and the stuff remembered me from 2 months ago and gave excellent service.

The rib bones pulled clean out of the mouthwatering ribs delivering the wood fired kiss to my nostrils before my tastebuds enjoyed the house specialty BBQ sauce delivering an experience worth having.

The shrimp dumplings were a new adventure for us and not at all disappointing.

We ordered the family style Thanksgiving dinner last week. It was awesome in every day. At was well packaged with clear instructions on reheating. The food was just exceptional. This will be a repeat performance for next year! Bravo!

Very great atmosphere here. Generally we are fast eaters but we really wanted to enjoy our time here as the drinks were delicious and the food was cooked perfectly. The grilled and smoked taste are hard to match they do a great job. We tried shrimp, bacon, chicken, steak and ribs; all were great. On a final note we wish all mashed potatoes tasted this amazing!

Amazing coconut curry mussels, lamb chops, and mashed potatoes, veggies. Atmosphere is lovely. Service was great. Yummy mojitos. Can’t wait to come back and try more.

A well executed menu resulting in delicious results. A bit expensive but there is a good wine list and some variety of entrees and desserts. However, the check isn't able to be split for larger groups and we were a group of nine.

Outstanding crabcakes! My favorite in Madison. Grill is fantastic. Menu features the Americana Classics with distinction. Something tasteful and beautifully arranged for everyone. Staff is genuinely pleasant and accommodating.

Amazing place for a wide variety of dishes. High end food and service, great drinks, and an easy location to access.

So good we went back two nights later.
Cheese curds are the best.
Butternut squash soup is slightly sweet.
Greek salad.
Risotto is good. Citrus-y.
Ribeye.
Twice baked potato.
Creme brulee was a perfect texture.

The wood fire menu is really yummy. Prices are kind of high but it's worth it-- the portions are big and everything we ordered (group of 7, including 1 kid-- she did get a kids menu and crayons) tasted magnificent! Try to save room for dessert.

A1 service! Great food & ambiance. Celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary there. The waiter even offered dessert on the house for celebrating with them.

We went on a Wednesday and had no problem getting in. My daughter and I split the wood fire mixed grill. My brother also ordered the same entree. It was soooo much food and included steak, chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, and garlic green beans. The meal was $40 but my daughter and I couldn’t even finish it. There are plenty of cocktails to choose from and the service was great. The atmosphere is nice, fancier than Texas road house or other chains.

Amazing curry bowl and fried calamari! Great drinks too and superb service! Definitely recommend it!

Had a great dinner w family. The food was fantastic. Beautiful restaurant and top notch service. Would for sure recommend Bonfyre and would like to come back next time visiting Madison.
