The Range

Great live music venue. Shows usually start kind of late (10/after) but they have been having some earlier shows that I really appreciate.

Huge second floor windows at the front that overlook The Commons with stools lining. Great spot to chill with a drink and people watch.

Younger crowd most of the time, but when they have early shows (thank you) it gets to be an older crowd. Kind of a club vibe when ever you go, but a fun and welcoming place. Most weekends have live bands, if there isn't a band, there's a DJ and they've been great every time I've been.

Decent tap options and the liquor is great shot selection, but you won't find higher end sippers.

This place is on the second floor (used to be '2nd Floor Bar'). The staircase is steep and narrow and there is no lift so be careful and use the railing. To get in, you need to enter a small lobby area and then there is a door to the right that goes upstairs.

Awesome place!!! Loved the live band!! The bartenders were amazing, great personalities!! I'm definitely coming back on my next trip to Ithaca

Had a great experience at Driftwood's New Year Eve show here. Great sound and light show.

Really a nice spot for live music almost every night. I'll be honest, the first time I went here I was totally weirded out by the number of unrelated individuals who seemed to have decided to come to the bar without shoes on. Apparently that day was an anomaly because my next visit had everyone wearing appropriate footwear. Good drink variety and reasonable prices.

Went last night to see RootShock...the band was seriously amazing! The staff at the bar were all friendly and the place was clean and comfortable. I was the DD so I can't say how the drinks were but drove safely home a happy bunch of my loves!

This place has a good vibe and very convenient if you are on the commons.they have live music with usually a very reasonable cover of $5 I believe. So if you're a music lover then this might be the place for you. Also on occasion you can see the police raid Moonies across the commons for underage drinking which is amusing.

Just trying to balance out the nujobs who havnt been to a club (or out from under their rocks) I. The past two years enough to realize proof of Vax is pretty much universal at popular bars and clubs. You'd think people so insistent on "doing their own 'research'" would spend the 30 seconds it takes to find out this information before going to the bar.

The Range is a solid enough bar, especially if you're looking for beers or house cocktails.

The staff are just wonderful, the Range is always hosting great music or great events from burlesque bingo to drag to funk, they really get it. Miss the popcorn though, thanks covid! :/

The Range has by far the best happy hour prices and selection in town, their bartenders are so great plus they have awesome shows and event with multicultural selection of bands. This is the place to go when you're Downtown Ithaca. Cheers friends

Really like this place for a relaxing location to enjoy some drinks! I finally stopped by on a Thursday evening for happy hour after being aware of The Range for quite some time.

The first thing The Range has going for it is its location. It's on the second floor above Trader K's right on the Commons. It's quite easy to park over on Green or at either end of the Commons and walk in. There is also tons of food in the immediate vicinity, and you are more than welcome to carry food into The Range. I don't believe they have any food offerings of their own.

We found the service to be friendly and the selection of beers and liquor to be great. I normally go for beer, and they have a good mix of standards as well as some different craft offerings.

The Range also has live music quite frequently, so it's a good place to catch some local musical acts. The venue is quite roomy, so it's easy to sit further away from the stage area if you don't want to be right in the thick of it.

This is a wonderful venue for drinks and music and good fellowship located on the Ithaca Commons. It does have a flight of stairs as it is a second floor location. Large Windows looking out to the beautiful Ithaca Commons. Features live music on a regular basis, dancing and good cheer!

The range is a fun live music venue that I both enjoy watching Sophistafunk perform live there and once even DJed an event there if your looking for a nice intimate setting with live music and fun Burlesque shows the range is a must see place

They have excellent dancing for swing and tango dancers. Also some real live acts from around the country play here on Fridays and Saturdays. A way to get above the fray in Ithaca.

Great venue for live music. Saw Dirty Blanket there! Great atmosphere. On the 2nd floor of the building. Shared entrance.

Great bar. Friendly staff attentive. No bottles as long as you are alright with cans. Drinks are cheaper priced for downtown.

It has been two an a half years since I have gone out , would like to thank you for a nice time for happy hour and seeing old friends again . Gee people get old quick... lol

Good times. The staff is always spot on, the music is great. The commons needed a live music venue, and the Range provides that wonderfully
