The doctors and vet techs were phenomenal. I love how Cornell has a video chat option to chat with a vet through a company for 50 dollars and that doctor will tell you if you truly have an emergency and should get to Cornell. This literally saved our dog. From check in to check out, every single person we interacted with was kind and informative. We are forever grateful for their knowledge and skills. The student vet tech checked up on our dog daily and was available whenever needed.

I love the access we have to Cornell and owe it to them for giving our baby boy a second chance at life.

We are seen by the on-site ophthalmology department. They give us excellent, personalized care. My dog's eye disease progression has slowed due to their treatment, which has definitely improved his quality of life!

Our beloved dog, Cooper, was suffering excruciating pain from protruding spinal discs. The only options left were to euthanize or do surgery. The talented team at Cornell performed the operation perfectly. 2 years later Cooper is pain free and the happy vibrant fur-baby he used to be. I hope the hospital can find ways to ensure availability to families who can’t afford this costly (but lifesaving) surgery.

I took my dog here almost 2 weeks ago, the care he received was excellent. It took him a little bit longer than I would’ve liked for him to be back to himself. But I was just glad that he didn’t have anything that requires surgery or hospitalization. I was very concerned about the pain and symptoms he had. Mavis is so much better. Thank you Cornell!!! If my pets ever need emergency vet care in the future I definitely would return even though it’s a bit of a drive! He has been playing so much today. It’s been good to see!

Our young husky started showing strange behavior changes, which progressed to frequent pacing in circles, getting lost and stuck in places, running away with his e-collar on and being unable to rest/get comfortable. We visited our primary vet who recommended seeing a neurologist in Freeville or Cornell to be evaluated as this was out of her scope. We chose to support the small business & took our dog to Freeville- the neurologist got our dog in quickly & evaluated him. He sent us home with Gabapentin & said it was likely a slipped disc, low back pain or sciatica & told us to come back in 1 month if things did not get better. A few days later we started noting worse symptoms & chose to get a second opinion at Cornell.

We had the best experience at Cornell. Dr. Milan Piva saw us at 10pm on a Friday night & advocated for us intensely to get our dog into the ICU to be evaluated & have imaging done ASAP. She was thorough and compassionate. Dr. Amy Huynh was the neurology resident who took over- she is very matter of fact but gave us statistics, research and was very knowledgeable. She put us at ease even with a very challenging situation. She completed the MRI only to find large tumors on our dogs brain that would not be able to safely be removed. When she called us with the news she gave us options and took her time with us- explaining that the kindest thing we could do is say goodbye to our 4 year old husky to ease his suffering. You could truly hear the heartache in her voice delivering us terrible news; she kissed our boy goodbye for us while on the phone. We chose to donate our boy to science to allow the students and vets at Cornell to learn and hopefully save other people’s fur babies. The first vet we saw, Dr. Piva, personally reached out to us when she found out the news to send her condolences and we will never forget her kindness.

We can’t express our gratitude enough for the care we received at Cornell from the front desk staff to the students to the vets. If you are hesitant about pricing- the other neurology office down the road from Cornell charged us a larger fee for a lower level of care and told us to go home as it was not brain related. Our dog would have died a painful and slow death at home had we listened to that neuro vet and not went to Cornell.

Thank you Dr. Piva & Dr. Huynh. Your care for other people’s animals is unmatched❤🌈

One of the best animal hospitals that I have dealt with. With both sympathy for the parents and the animal who is suffering. The prices were clearly stated and easy to afford for the work that was done. In my case my small cat was terminal. They were very sympathetic and very caring about how we dealt with things and gave us plenty of time with the animal before it had to go to sleep. They even triaged him enough so that we could be with him while he was conscious and coherent which they didn't have to do in a dying animal. They treated his pain and suffering as much as his actual condition could be cared for. I will definitely be considering them in the future with other animals that have problems and immediate attention is needed.

I found the entire staff to be caring and compassionate as I brought my beloved 16 year old Rory to be euthanized. It was a holiday weekend and there are no emergency services in my area. I could not bare to have my boy suffer and was so grateful that Cornell Animal Hospital and Dr Jacob was available to assist me that very day.

I took my cat, Jelly, to the Cornell Vet Hospital yesterday. It was a very positive experience. Dr. Hurley was excellent. She was kind, and took the time to answer my questions and address my concerns. Having a sick pet is very stressful as well as painful, but she made it the best experience possible. Thank you!

My 5 yr old Airedale stopped eating and became very lethargic and easily agitated. My local vet ran tests and he was positive for Lymes. They did all they could but he still wouldn't eat or drink so we couldn't give him his antibiotics. Since he still wasn't eating after 3 days, we took him to Cornell emergency. They took him in and administered IV antibiotics. As soon as we got him home that evening he started to eat again and we were able to give him his meds. This is the place to go if your dog/cat is really ill. Thank God for Cornell Vet Hospital! God Bless their entire staff as they were very caring and professional! Tom Boughton Liberty, Pa.

When our dog recently came down with pneumonia and was not benefiting from our normal vet care I rushed him to Cornell at 5 am on a Saturday. I called prior to going there, they set the proper expectations concerning cost, time I would be there and answered all of my questions. My boy was admitted and spent 2 nights being nursed back to health. The team that worked on him was AMAZING, the staff at checkin and check out were AMZING. They are reasonably priced for the level of service they provide and they are best in class when it comes to caring for our pets. Highly recommended!

Came here because of my very sick kitten. She was diagnosed with FIP and reoccurring eye infections. Upon entry was pleasantly greeted. The doctor was very nice and answered my questions to the best of her knowledge. Definitely extremely expensive.....would recommend regardless.

We brought our sweet girl, Lola here on June 27th. She was cared for wonderfully by Dr. Stephanie Smith. Our vet didn't have the capability to diagnose her properly here in Rochester and all of our friends and family said to bring her here. Lola was diagnosed with PIMA within 3 days of being there. All of the staff took amazing care of her. Unfortunately, within 2 weeks Lola developed a blood clot in her lungs. We had to make the gut wrenching decision to put her down. I just wanted to come on here to let all of the doctors, nurses, and staff know that you all took amazing care of our little girl. We knew that you truly cared about her well being. We cannot thank you all enough for doing absolutely everything to help us save her. So thank you for giving us 3 more weeks with her. Thank you forever!

I cannot thank Dr. O’Connor enough for the compassion and care my dog received during his Oncology visit. She was very informative and even fit us in the same day for scans, bloodwork, etc. We wanted to get a second opinion after receiving my dogs pathology report saying he had cancer. About a week or so later we got the second pathology report back. Thanks to all the lovely Drs. at Cornell we found out my boy does not have cancer and this skin issue will not stop him from living a long happy life. I can’t thank them enough!!

Very attentive care by everyone from the kind people at reception, the veterinary students, and to the wonderful veterinarian who provided many hours of surgery for my much loved, 4 year-old cat. She couldn't have received more superior healthcare any where else.

They're awesome! We have ferrets and when they get sick, its quick and bad and typically an emergency. They got our little guy in and did an awesome job for him. Thanks to Dr Nic and Dr Alan, the Exotics and Cardiac crew, all the nurses and techs that cared for him! We appreciate you!!

My canine Dallas was extremely ill, vomiting, not eating or drinking, very lethargic. I couldnt get hi. To come out of his kennel, he couldnt stand up.
We went to cornell with him and they took very good care of him. They got him In asap to be checked out, did his exam, got him fluids cbc etc...
After four days my boy was home with some antibiotics and has returned to his old self again.
Dr Zwek and Martina were great, we knew what was happening every step of the way. They were very informative and more than willing to answer all my question and to do the extra things that I had asked to be checked.
I would definitely recommend cornell for any of your furbaby needs.

Thank you to all the Drs., residents and Students for for all you do, You are absolutely amazing!!!
