Great local bar, “divey” in the best way. Good tap selection, gay-friendly, free food and pool on Sundays, TV for games. Some bartenders are friendlier than others but overall the vibes here are immaculate.

I'm sad I didn't know about this place sooner. The people are friendly, the service is great, the drinks are tasty, and well-behaved dogs are welcome inside! I wouldn't bring your pup on a night that's likely to be busy, though. Pool tables and a fireplace in the back. What's not to love?

Great bar, even if it is a bit of a hike for me. The staff is fabulous and friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming. I've never had a bad experience here.

Really, this place is a hidden gem and I'm hesitant to even write this review. Great specials, great atmosphere, and local beer. Bartender's are awesome and the location is far away from the college crowd that it seems mainly older students and locals enjoy this place.

Great local bar with string drinks, nice friendly people in a fun environment. Billiards, darts and nice outside patio for when the weather is nice. LGBT friendly and welcoming - especially Fridays.

Had a blast with my brother here and we love the hospitality. Couldn't ask for nothing more thank you. Great place guys!.

Hands down, best bar in Ithaca. The people who hang at the Rhine House are a perfect mix of interesting, and eclectic, but thankfully there are no real signs of a hipster vibe. I sat at the bar with a guy for a while and when he was leaving I found out he was a provost at one of the colleges here in town. If that's not chill, I don't know what is. Local hints- if Kara is the bartender you lucked out, and if you get to meet Harley, you have hit the jackpot.

The bartender was extremely nice and accommodating. $3 draft beers Saturday nights is a steal for a night out. It has a wonderful outdoor seating area for outdoor fun.

Nice place to have a drink and a conversation with friends. 5$ pints on a Saturday Night.

Great option for locals for good drinks that won't make you broke. I have lots of friends that love coming here, it's a bit more out of the way for me but I try and make an effort to come down and am glad everytime I do. In the summer they have lunch trucks and food vendors in the parking lot too.

Stopped in for a couple of drinks while I was in the area visiting family. Cool bar, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere! One of the few bars I've seen that allow dogs and it was awesome!

Stacks of well-loved board games, wee beer garden with entrancing street art, juke box, pool and darts, exquisite rotating list of drafts from local craft breweries...all this in what feels like a cozy dive bar atmosphere. Complete with your hard-workin' hard-drinkin' locals. The $3 pint nights post 7pm Saturdays is the best beer deal in all of Ithaca. Seriously, where else can you drink a local Ithaca Beer Flower Power for under $5, nevertheless $3? Oh, and free peanuts? Yes please.

Probably the best bartender in Ithaca ( Cara). Great town bar however, they make everyone feel welcome! Also..... and very important, they let dogs in!!!

Love the Rhiner! Lovely staff and a proper steel tip dartboard. Two pool tables and a pinball machine. Can't beat it for meeting cool folks.
