Delicious lunch. Stopping by on the way to Madison and worth every penny. Very well priced menu with generous portions. Also, absolutely delicious. Wisconsin Cheese curd burger is not too greasy, but cooked perfectly. They also gets eggs exactly the way you want them. The service is great - efficient and very nice - also attentive. Perfect hole in the wall stop for breakfast and lunch.

Our first time here since Village Café closed. Food and staff were very nice. We are excited to go back and try more options soon!

We came in around 11:15 am on Saturday and they got slammed. The staff of 5 were awesome at taking care of the customers. They worked as a team and got the food out quickly given the situation. The food was good, fair priced and filling. I would come back again. Nice job.

Sonny's Cafe is my absolute favorite! This is my go to brunch place! There food is delicious, I love there skillets, and thier creeps are the best I have ever had! If you are near Cottage Grove definitely stop in! Staff is great too!

Honestly the best service I have experienced anywhere. Every server is attentive to every patron whether or not they are their assigned table. Very clean. Great social distancing. Staff does excellent job of wearing masks properly. Great food and really reasonable price. I would rate higher if I could!!!

Great service , outstanding food, generous portions, reasonable pricing. Have tried various breakfast and lunch items and have yet to find anything that isn’t great. Highly recommend this little cafe. My 84 year old Mom loves it too.

The food is absolutely outstanding. I ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich and the flavor explosion was just amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and extremely clean! I will continue to recommend this place and keep coming back :)

We have only been a couple of times since we moved into the area but the service and food have both been excellent.

The portions are generous and the waitresses are very good at making sure your coffee cup stays full.

Great service. There was a wait but they called us when a table was open. Better than the average dinner food. Huge menu. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Very clean and cozy interior.

Very much like its predecessor, The Village Cafe. Friendly folks and good food in generous proportions.
Available tables are laid out at suitable distance and each is sanitized when a diner loaves.

We just moved to cottage grove and are so thankful that Sonnys Cafe exists. We feel very lucky that such a delicious breakfast spot exists just down the road. It’s going to be hard to resist going here every week. Yum yum yum.

Great small town diner. Love these little town diners. The Cottage Cafe closed due to covid....Sonny's ooened up in their stead. Great food...great people who run the place. We eat here at least twice a week. Love the place.

First time here and the food was fantastic. Wish I lived closer to visit more often. Also very nice staff too. 😀

Great little spot for breakfast or lunch in Cottage Grove. Staff is friendly, food was fresh and hot and fills not only the plate, but your stomach too!

The service was excellent, and I can highly recommend the country-fried steak and eggs.
