Hi. I was in need of the "perfect" thing. I didn't exactly know what that was, but Katie found it for me. She allowed me, through questioning, to describe what I was looking for. We agreed upon it, and Katie and her staff created it for me at a reasonable price. I'm beyond happy as was my wife! Should I ever need another piece of jewelry, I'll definitely check in with Katie at the Jewelbox in Ithaca.

Beautiful, elegant and uniquely designed jewelry. I own four of Micky's pieces and they are some of my favorites! In addition to the pieces I purchased, Micky also repurposed some diamonds from my great grandmother's collection into beautiful rings for my daughter.

The custom made bracelet below is the most recent piece I bought. I love opals and rose gold. This is from her twig collection - it's my go to piece when dressing up. I coordinated creation of the custom piece all through messaging without a single call or email directly with her staff and it is exactly what I had hoped for.

Had a very broken heirloom bracelet that could not be repaired turned into rings. Followed my direction perfectly. Simple, comfortable with an engraving to help future generations to remember where it came from.

We found her engagement ring here, and this was such a positive experience that we've returned for all resizing/modification/purchasing needs since. I have the wonderful crew at The Jewelbox to thank for fixing and restoring my engagement ring which is a family heirloom from the late 1800s. Not only did they fix the shank that had broken and retipped around the diamond to fortify it, but they revived its sparkle and radiance while maintaining its original character. Essentially, it feels like they breathed new life into it! Any nervousness I had after first leaving this sentimental family heirloom in the hands of strangers immediately evaporated and turned into amazement and goosebumps when I first laid eyes on my ring. Turns out these "strangers" now feel like trusted friends - shoutout to Marion and Stephanie for their excellent communication, passion for what they do, and just being delightful to work with. This was not just a ring that they fixed but a meaningful part of my fiancé's ancestral history that I now get to preserve and pass down to future generations to live on for another 150+ years.

I purchased a beautiful gemstone, at an event, at the Jewelbox. I had no idea what piece of jewelry to have it made into. I met with Micky and I decided on a ring. She designed something more beautiful than I could have imagined. I am thrilled and in love with this ring. I highly recommend Micky Roof and her amazing staff at the Jewelbox!

What a phenomenal group of ladies running this store. As a queer, interracial couple, this is the first store we felt completely comfortable in. They celebrated our joy with us and it was truly meaningful. The designs they carry are entirely unique and cannot be matched locally elsewhere. We appreciated that they had such a variety of types of engagement rings, including some on the smaller, quieter side. After this experience, we will be making this our jeweler for life.

The Jewelbox does amazing work, whether it is repairing something you have brought in or something that you have purchased in the store.
I recently purchased one of the the Gem Stones that was displayed in the store and had a ring made. I wanted something plan that would show off the stone. Mickey and her staff did
a beautiful job. I also brought in my Great Aunts Ring that I have had sitting in a box for 30 years. I needed to have it resize and checked so I could wear it. It is amazing.

What a wonderful warm and welcoming shop. The folks at the Jewelbox are highly skilled and eager to help. I was traveling through Ithaca and during a hike one day the chain broke on my necklace, which holds a very special pendant. I went to the Jewelbox and the staff helped me sift through a number of options to select a high quality sterling silver chain replacement. It was not only exactly what I needed but has proven to be much more durable and comfortable than the one that it replaced. It will surely last for many years to come and I'm grateful for the assistance from such kind people!

My partner and I had a wonderful experience getting our engagement rings made by Micky and her team. We brought a pair of wildly different stones to be set into each of our rings, and then sat down with Micky to discuss options. My partner is in a related industry, being a metalsmith, so while I was a little out of my depth during the nitty-gritty parts of their conversation—if you’re reading this, let me impress on you how KNOWLEDGEABLE and PASSIONATE Micky and her team at the Jewelbox are. I was left wondering, shocked, how may people can look at an objectively-weird-colored stone and say “Wow, this is an untreated zoisite!” Astounding. Her love for her work really shone through that first time we spoke, and we left the shop knowing we were in the right hands. That meeting was several months ago, and we just picked up our rings yesterday (be patient with custom jewelry, it’s an art). The rings are BEAUTIFUL—treasures we will have the greatest fun wearing for many years. After our experience, we will absolutely have our wedding bands done here, as well. (And, after wandering around the store several times, we will absolutely also be buying more special treasures here in the future.) We couldn’t have had a better experience. Not just Micky, but the entire staff is knowledgeable and so, so excited to talk jewelry—it’s infectious. Thank you! We’ll be back.

We've finally found time to write a review for the wonderful experience we had with The Jewel Box. There are so many positives, that we wanted to wait until we had enough time to write them all out for you, prospective client.

Walking into The Jewel Box feels like walking into a sparkling showroom of jewelry, but instead of your typical steely-eyed, aloof salespersons, you find people that feel like friends. The best kind of friends too, that would tell you if you had something in your teeth or bring you ice cream after a breakup.
This set the tone for our entire experience.

When we had questions about a ring we both liked in the showroom, they were able to pass our questions along to Mickey, the designer,who came to meet with us in person! Enamored with the band of one of the rings we tried on, my partner and I (both she/her) decided to get the same band, with a different stone/setting for each of us, to display our individuality perfectly. Mickey wasted no time, showing us types of stones, settings, and the way each might look with our chosen style of band.
After a few tries with my stone (Alexandrite) and hers (Aquamarine) our engagement rings were all set. We did not have a timeline, but even with several other orders in line prior to ours, the wait time was exceptionally reasonable.

We've each only seen the ring we'll be proposing with, so our respective engagement rings will be a lovely surprise, thanks to the Jewel Box. We're so happy with our experience from start to finish, and can't wait to wear them ♡

I am extremely happy with the Jewelbox! Micky Roof and her staff are wonderful. I had her fix my engagement ring and I refuse to trust anyone else. They are honest and takes the time to make the customers happy. She has a range for jewelry and prices. I just ordered a ring that is only $225 so please don't think that it is a "expensive place". Everyone at the Jewelbox is so helpful! I went in looking for an engagement ring with no clue about rings whatsoever. Micky and her staff did a wonderful job giving me an education and designing a beautiful custom ring once I figured out what i wanted. They were prompt and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic experience working with Stephanie on a piece of custom jewelry. The process was very enjoyable and the finished piece was absolutely perfect.

I brought in a pendant and vintage gold chain that I had purchased for my wife's birthday separately and at other locations. The pendant did not fit on the chain, but they were very helpful with getting the pendant fitted properly. This was the day before Thanksgiving, and it was all ready to go by midday Friday. Best of all, they did not charge me anything except a promise that I would take my wife somewhere nice for her birthday!

My husband had an onyx ring that I had given him 27 years ago that had become much too tight over the years to the point he was unable to remove. We went to Mickey Roof’s where they cut the ring off and had it resized. Due to the sentimental value my husband did not want another ring! We picked it up today and it looked beautiful! They did a fantastic job lengthening the gold in the back of the ring.. you would never know there had been a repair! It looks as good as it did when I gave it to him! Stephanie and Marion were wonderful to deal with! I would highly recommend Mickey Roof not only for the craftsmanship but also for the timeliness and professionalism! Thank you ladies!

I have shopped at the Jewelbox several times. I have always been treated with respect and professionalism, even when I haven’t made a purchase. I bought my wife’s engagement ring and both of our wedding bands here. The staff were patient and helpful as we ran version after version past them. We are both so pleased with our rings. We’ve each independently received several compliments on them.

There’s a wide array of pieces and styles available. Not everything is my cup of tea, but they’re willing to customize ANYTHING!
