29 Pines Family Restaurant and Lounge

I'm a little sad to see this place only have 4.0 stars. The food is great, prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the interior is very welcoming. If you're driving through Wisconsin and need a bite to eat, try this spot.

We ate an early lunch, around 11am. The food took quite some time. However, once it arrived, it was obvious why. The simple cheese burger was HUGE (1/2 lb) and had all the fixings of a gourmet burger. Absolutely the best cheese burger EVER! Fries were also fantastic! Wow! Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was classy! Thank you for such a nice surprise in a family restaurant!

Definitely a hidden gem! Showers are spacious. Coin-op laundry is much more affordable than you'll find at the bigger stops. Food is very good. The store is more than willing to supply quarters for the laundry. Free parking. This is a GREAT stop.

I was honestly expecting something like Denny's but I was blown away by this place. The atmosphere and decor is so classy and lovely. Our server Rose was very wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing. We tried the cheese curd appetizer and they were perfectly fried and seasoned. We also got a patty melt and and cheeseburger, also both amazing and in such large portions I took the other half to work for lunch. The cheeseburger was so fresh and delicious it was like biting into a steak! They also have soup on the bar and I think their chicken dumpling soup is the best thing I've eaten since coming to Wisconsin. We will definitely be going back again and working our way through the menu!

This restaurant has a classy fine dining feel, with a bit of small town charm. It is very well decorated, the environment is clean and bright, but not too bright. There is not any loud music or distractions. It is a quiet cozy little restaurant with great home style food and low prices. The staff is courteous and attentive. The food on the buffet is hot, fresh, and presented in a tasteful way. Nothing here feels like a TV dinner microwaved and served on a fancy plate. It tastes and appears to be made from scratch. I would recommend this cozy place to anybody who is looking for a quiet and delicious dinner for one or a whole family. * I didn't visit the lounge section of this restaurant

That Anna is the best bartender I have ever met!

Great atmosphere, and were greeted cheerfully by the door to be seated. The server was prompt and very cheerful! The food was amazing and came out just as we ordered, even though we had a very complicated order with multiple things added to the breakfast skillet.
I had a wrap and subbed onion rings instead of fries for only 3 more dollars.
The onion rings and also my friends combo platter where the best ever as they had a light seasoning on them!
Prices where very reasonable and would definitely go back!

I’m here doing my 34 hour reset very quiet and peaceful truck stop friendly/ nice staff. Restaurant got great food. I will definitely stop here again if I’m up this way 👌🏾

I frequently stop at their convenience store on road trips. They offer a large selection of local cheese and meat snacks, as well as beer, wine, and liquor. They have everything you’d expect from a convenience store and then some. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained.

Had a business meeting here. Food was great and everyone was very friendly.

Reasonably priced and delicious! I stopped in for a quick bite and I was really pleased.

The batter they used on their onion rings was very tasty! I would highly recommend them. (Note: they are thin cut. Not great if you prefer a thick cut onion ring.)

Hands down BEST Philly sandwich I've ever eaten (request that the veggies be chopped up...you won't regret it!). Boyfriend had a breakfast-style burger and that was really good as well. Will definitely stop again next time we are in town!

The steak dinner was delicious. Personally, I like to sit in the bar area. John the bartender was personable and kept checking on me. This is an old school truck stop with all the things we need out here.

I can’t say enough about the incredible staff at this place. My family and I visited here after having our car towed into town after an accident on the nearby highway. They quickly made room for us and all of our belongings in a side room making sure we were taken care of even during a busy Friday night. It was a cozy place to eat a good meal and I know we wouldn’t have been treated so well at just any old restaurant or chain. What really floored us was when our waitress (Vern) announced that all the staff decided they were going to pay for our meal to bless us! They truly are a “family restaurant” and I hope we’ll be able to visit again under better circumstances. Thank you 29Pines for being so gracious and generous to my family!

Great facility for everything! They have just about everything you would need to host an event at this property!

Breakfast served all day. Hearty Breakfast was a nice deal. Pancakes were very good.
