Rio Hondo Condominiums

Wonderful and comfortable condos (our family stayed in 2 adjacent properties.) Kitchens very well stocked (we could cook for and serve 12 people.) Condos are privately owned so each one likely has a different “feel.” But both were in great shape, VERY clean and comfortable—-plus lots of bath towels, extra pillows and blankets. Ample parking, the shared hot tub is open air and very nice and clean. The location is fantastic, extremely east and fast access to the lifts/ski mountain. Finally the staff is wonderful: extremely helpful and friendly, we were able to arrive early and check out late AND they contacted us when they found an item mistakenly left behind.

The condo was lovely. It had everything we needed and was big enough for all of us to enjoy each others company. We enjoyed the hot tub (which is huge) and how close it was to the lifts. The property manager was a pleasure to work with and responded to all questions right away. We will definitely stay here again.

Great experience for our family. Katheryn was so kind and a big help. The condo had everything we needed and lots of space for gear in the mudroom and lounging in the living room. It is very close proximity to the kids learning center, which has a smaller chair lift that gets you to the main lift up. And the kids learning center has a 6 person gondola that gets you to the base restaurants and shops. My 5 yr old easily made the walk from the condo to the lift in her ski boots, and our 7 and 9 yr olds were able to carry their skis. Hot tub and guest laundry were also great and convenient. We hope to stay again!

We had an excellent family vacation at Rio Hondo for the 3rd year. The staff is attentive and the condo was fully equipped for us cooking most of our meals at “home”. Thank you for a lovely memory!

We enjoyed our stay here. We rented an older unit and the difference in temperature downstairs and upstairs was drastic - the windows really should be replaced to help keeping the interior temperature. Apart from that, we didn’t mind staying at an older unit and their customer service was excellent, the ladies who work there were really giving their best!

Update for Jan 2024: this time we stayed at unit 313 and that deserves 5 starts. Incredibly nicely remodeled unit. Office ladies were great as the year before. Definitely recommend unit 313.

I recently had one of the better experiences in recent memory with Rio Hondo and the staff. So nice to deal with real people who genuinely care about their guests!

Our stay at the Rio Hondo during the Holiday Season turned out to be a highly enjoyable one. The location lived up to the billing as we could walk across the parking lot to put our kids into ski school as well as buy our lift tickets. We made our way to the main lift (#1 at the base) by the ski school lifts or the parking lot shuttle. The condo fit our family of five quite well. Master bedroom was well furnished. Really enjoyed hanging out in the great room of the condo--allowed for lots of family time. Hot tub and sauna were also a great relaxation spot at the end of the day.

Comfortable, we are a family of six adults and three children. We all fit and never felt crowded. Close to the gondola for easy ride to base area. Helpful management and groundskeeper!

Absolutely wonderful experience!!!! The first night, we arrived after business hours and Kathryn and her team left my check-in packet with the key. What I was impressed with was that they left the light on in the condo making it feel welcoming after a 12-he drive. The unit was a 1-minute walk to the slopes and a shuttle that takes you to the main ski village! I highly recommend Rio Hondo Condominiums; I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

Looking forward to our 4th summer at Rio Hondo! We have a large family (7) and this suits our needs perfectly. The sounds from the rushing water just outside our back door, the stunning views from the balcony, and cozy place for family game time have made Rio Hondo one our family favorites!
Over the years we have stayed in different units, each with it's own special charm. Kathryn (manager ) has gone out of her way to ensure we had knowledge of the area, restaurants, attractions, and everything we needed in our residence.
During an especially stormy night, the maintenance man and staff came back up the mountain with extra flashlights, etc. to check on us . Thanks, it made our kids feel better after flickering power issues.
The condos are always clean, and basic kitchen supplies, bathroom necessities, laundry needs were available.
Great cool mountain getaway from the heat of a Texas summer, with location and staff that are second to none!

Great two bedroom two bath condo in the ground level within and easy walk of the slopes at the children's center at Taos ski valley. The property manager is totally awesome. Extremely nice and very accommodating.

We have been staying at Rio Hondo for several years. The rooms are nice and the staff is exceptional. It is very quiet, and the hot tub is great after a long day on the slopes. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed stayimg at the Rio Hondo Condo. It is an excelent place for big families or groups of friends. Me and my family totally recommend it for your vacations

Katheryn was great! Condo was very well equipped and they even left the lights and TV on for our arrival. Very nice to get away from the heat. Would recommend booking in advance.👍

Clean and cozy condo that is within walking distance of the lifts. Perfect for a family ski trip.

Love, love, love this place!! Especially in the off-season when its usually very quiet. Katheryn is a jewel. The river is pure therapy. The condos are nice. We've been coming for years!!

All about comfort and convenience! 1 minute walk from children's learning center and 5 minutes from the main lift. Highly recommended.

Great property, so convenient, especially with kids, great hot tub. Wonderful management. Rooms are comfortable with great amenities!

We go with our family to Toas Ski Valley and visit it.It provide very good facilities for us.Its gives the access of internet.Its room is very good enviroment.Room have Heater nad Attacted Bath.In Bathroom they gives the Well Basket to take bath.They gave very heavy protocol to our family.If i go again in this place like Toas rental,Toas lodging and Toas Condos.

Great service and experience. We will be back.
