Big Lots

Clean store. Very organized.

Visited the store at the end of March. I did not like how one of the managers or associate was speaking to the young lady working the cash register. Apparently, someone bought a chair and was returning it. From the sound of the manager, the chair wasn’t supposed to be sold for whatever reason. She kept telling the young lady associate how someone (I guess a higher up) would’ve had a fit about the chair being sold and it wasn’t supposed to be. She kept repeating it while the customer was returning the chair and while my colleague and I were checking out.

I feel like that was business that should’ve been handled differently, definitely in private. The young lady didn’t really seem to phased, keeping a smile as she checked us out, but I couldn’t help but to be embarrassed for her and the other lady that kept seeming to have a fit about it. I hope the higher up did not make it worse for the young lady and the other manager may need more training in being professional around customers.

Give the young cashier behind the counter a raise! She kept her composure and was so polite during this ordeal.

I live in Mentor and have often gone to its Big Lots off Heisley road. It is pretty decent with a variety of products, food, furniture.

BUT, just went to BLs in Ashtabula a day ago- I/we liked it much better. No food, which we did not miss. Seemed like wider array of furniture beyond beds/sofas (could use more lamps though). Really liked their pet section. It has more variety of food and other pet stuff than many groceries! Bought a great toy for my cats I couldn't find elsewhere. They loved it!l

The remodel of the store is great. It's open and bright. There is an excellent selection of holiday decor, along with furniture and home goods.

It’s now called big lots home and it’s amazing! It’s almost like a more high end furniture place now! Love big lots and their prices!

Love the remodel!! Everything is very open. Inventory is awesome. Customer service is top notch!!

Love to shop here for the holidays. And if you need something fast they may have it if dollar tree dont.

Helpful staff, got lots of home furnishing "stuff". Packaged groceries of various types. Competitive pricing. Bought couch, chair. Private delivery set up service, great guys. Overall very satisfied. Thanks Big Lots!

Been a while since I've been in here, and wow! Nice remodel! Store is layed out nice! It now looks like a department store! They have a food section, housewares, furniture, a bit of everything! This is a really nice big lots, nicest and cleanest one I've ever seen! Not what you'd expect! This is the Astabula branch store.

Great little store. Tuck back in the corner of the plaza you almost miss it. It's worth the stop. Keep up the good work Big lots!

Love shopping here! Although my fiance hates me to go. I may tend to spend more time and money there. Just too many deals I can't pass up.. 😆

Big Lots has the friendliest cashiers of any store I have shopped at. They always greet me when I come into the store and are always happy to help if I need assistance. It has become my favorite store to go to when I shop.

The lady who worked in the furniture department was very knowledgeable and super friendly with a big smile. Thank you for making it easy for us and our grand daughter. 11-9-18

The store looks great, even on a weekend before Christmas. Employees were all nice and the gentleman (managed manager maybe?) helped us out.

Good service. I bought something big and I didn't have to ask for help. They were right there to help. I really like this store.

My wife was in heaven for 2 full hours and I watched the ball game in the car--a win-win!!!

Big n lots has many different items I regularly shop for,like snack's, coffee creamer,and canned dog food.i I also get all my paper works, and cleaning supplies too.
