Loved the easy access to the lifts and the different levels of difficulty. This is a great place to learn to ski but also a great place for advanced skiers. We took the copper lift which was right next to our room. This lift was a little tricky for me as I almost slipped off trying to get on. The views are incredible. The width of some of the trails was a little narrow which made me nervous for my kids. The lines at the lifts ate directed by staff which made the wait quick and easy. Will definitely go back! This whole town felt like it was straight out of a hallmark movie.

If you want to rest your feet and experience a beautiful view, give the ski lift a try! I had never been on a ski lift and it was about an hour long ride. It was in the 70's, but I still managed to get sunburned (my own fault, rookie move with no sunblock). If you wear a hat, you might want to remove it or make sure it is on tight my husband almost lost his. The view was spectacular! The workers were incredibly sweet. Also a photo opportunity at the half way mark.

Love this place all year long. Great place to take your kids to ski. Lots of transplanted Texas. Real small town vibe. Very relaxing ski area. See deer bear and lots of 4 wheeling and mountain bike activities

Overall, always love this place, but in our last trip I was not impressed w one of the staff we came in contact w. One of the ski instructors was quite rude on the bunny slopes. As my son is a new snow boarded and still learning he was using the small slope to work on his skills. In the entrance he was trying to get turned so he could get on the lift and when the instructor, who was not w a class or any students came up, she made it very clear she was annoyed that he was struggling, this made him more nervous which of course made his struggle worse. Instead of trying to help, as one would think an INSTRUCTOR would do, she chastised him for being in the way and taking too long. Most all the staff is amazing but definitely do not see why this woman is an instructor of that is her attitude toward a CHILD who is trying to learn a new skill. Not to mention a paying customer. I truly hope this is not the direction the resort is choosing to go as I know a big part of the draw for this resort is their family friendliness.

We had a great summer experience at Red River Ski & Summer... we visited on a Thursday and it was great. We did the summer tubing run, rope course & Zipline, and the two-seater Zipline. Not many snack options but the town is right there so we were able to leave and find a snack very quickly and return. The pricing added up but it was a fun vacation splurge for us to do all those experiences.

Love the small town feel, kind employees, and variety of runs. I've been to many other ski resorts and this one has no lines, quick service, and reasonable prices...including the food on the mountain. Many of the green runs are fairly narrow. Ski/snowboard school was great for our kids who had never done it before (14, 13, and 10). I'd reccomend 2 days of school for new boarders and 1 day for new skiers. We did come a week before the local spring break, so that helped a ton with the lines I'm sure.

We had a fantastic experience skiing and snowboarding this week! They are working very hard to keep everyone safe and follow covid guidelines. They had a smooth process and we can't wait to come back next month!
We purchased our tickets online a few days early. They had our lift passes ready for both days at will call. We were able to hop right on the lifts and start enjoying. Their staff were friendly and enforced mask or face coverings.

If you love to ski or snowboard, although small, this place is awesome when they have snow. They also make snow, but only limited areas will be open, you can check the webcams online, as well as maybe visit one of many other New Mexico Ski areas within a short drive, such as Angel Fire, Taos Ski Valley, Sipapu and Ski Santa Fe. It is also a beautiful area to visit in the summer, it is one of the towns along the New Mexico Scenic Byway, known as Enchanted Circle. Cimmaron State Park and Eagles Nest, New Mexico are near, there is a picturesque lake and supposedly many American Eagles around the lake, it is a great area, many things to do and see. Taos is near, as well as the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. I would also recommend investigating Ojo Caliente, hot springs and mineral baths. Santa Fe is not too far of drive, check out Bandelier National Monument (cliff dwellings). New Mexico has great times all over the state, beauty and history await!

One of the best ski towns around. You can definitely walk all over town to shop, eat, some condos offer door to ski lift just walk out the door and catch the lift. Tubing at night is a definite must, just make sure you get tickets 3 days ahead. We didn't and still go in the 2nd round, but if you want the 430pm round you have to move on it. Ski lessons should also be purchased 3 days ahead.

Very nice place to ski and dear to my heart. There is of course Taos nearby and Angel Fire, which are also deserving places. What Red River has more is the town. It is a little, cute, charming old miners town, and virtually everybody there is really nice. The view of the town from above, driving from Eagle's Nest is really marvelous, as the town is nested in a small valley. The drive from Taos also afford beautiful vistas.

So much fun to be had in the Summer Mountains. The chair lift is a great way to see the Summit.

We go there on July 4 every year and it’s a welcome break from the heat. Lotta fishing lotta fun. We went to Goose lake and watched the 4th of July parade. Really nice relaxing time on the mountains.

Red River is the best! Purchased lift tickets the night before skiing and went to will-call in the parking lot where an employee greeted us and gave us an envelope that included our tickets, plastic connectors, receipt, and a trail map. The whole process took about 30 seconds. It was actually better than the normal ticket office or kiosks. Loved it! And there was about 4 inches of fresh powder to ski in on this perfect bluebird day. ❤❤❤

This should be your go-to riding spot. I had the pleasure of visiting this past weekend and had an absolute blast. Everyone I met, from the owner down to the folks in food and beverage, were all welcoming and friendly. Happy place, good vibes.

Lots of community activities throughout the week, as well. You'll have plenty to do after a day on the slopes.

For my downhill mountain activities, I'd rather drive 4.5 hours from Denver to Red River, NM than take I-70 west for 2 hours.

We were there in the summer for just a day and had a lot of fun. We did the chair lift, seated zipline and tubing (like 4 times it was so fun!). Ran out of time to do the rope course but that looked good too.

We ALWAYS have an amazing time at RR. This trip we were fortunate enough to get 8" of fresh powder during our stay. Wonderful skiing on the mountain. We will be back again next month!

A great ski mountain for everyone! Very good facilities for all, and their addl snow making helps nature to supply the runs well. We had beginners to advanced skiers in our group and all had a lot of fun and were able to improve skills. This place is not pretentious... It's just a great ski destination!
