Great place, stopped by to get my son some books and they had a lot. Would definitely recommend this place.

First time here. Very cute bookstore. I bought a few books. I would definitely shop here again.

Bloodhound is the place to go. They have lots of books and movies. Today they have 20% off in the store and $3 a bag for items in the patio. Love their store. Plus the staff is great.

Great used book store! Good prices and lots of kids books too! Great place to look around and find something you’ll enjoy. I sold them 4 books, don’t expect to get much, just wanted to declutter some books I had. I will be bringing back more and shopping again

Got some great Disney and kids DVDs and VHS for such a good price! The shop is also just fun to wander around, and play "where's the book shop cat today?"

Great place. They keep things very well arranged and get such an amazing amount of classics in general, but on the theological category also, I have found stuff no other used store I have been to in 40 years has had. Some things are priced too high for the size of book. Great DVD section too. Great jazz cd section.

Great used bookstore! Always clean and organized. Staff is friendly and they have great deals on books. They also purchase your media if you have any extra.

This is a great place. My kids and I are always able to find something we love. During the summer try and go early it gets hot inside the building, it's totally worth it.

Excellent source for used books. Fabulous resource for teachers building classroom libraries. Very clean and well organized. They slso frequently buy used books.

Great selection of books and great prices. The staff was friendly and helpful.
They also have movies, albums, music disc's. And a small selection of audio books. Prices are the best part very inexpensive! The only problem is I bought a lot of books.

The staff is very friendly. I love checking in from time to time and see what new stuff they have. I collect movies and Bookhounds has a random assortment of hidden gems at any given time. It's definitely fun to go exploring through their inventory.

Took kiddos to the $3 bag sale. We had a blast picking new books for our little home library.

Bloodhounds will always have a very special place in my heart and memories. Being able to get some hot chocolate or coffee, read some awesome books and be able to buy them is just heavenly to us. To me, this is hands down the BEST book store in town. The nostalgia is amazing. My kids will forever love this place. We where so sad to hear them close when Covid hit and even sadder that they now require the vax card to go in smh. Truly disheartening. I wish they allowed anyone in regardless if they got the vax or not, but of course they must wear a mask. It is truly tragic for us since this place holds a very special place in my families memories. They where looking forward to going. I will have to break the sad news to them.

When Book Hounds was still on Rosedale Hwy in Bakersfield it was my home away from home the best selection of movies, music, books, comics, videogames then any other place in town prices range from $2.99 and $4.99 plus they have an incredible selection of vinyl records plus you can sell used stuff for cash or store credit

Staff was friendly and helpful. We had stoped by there for the first time. There was so much to choose from to. They had a seperate bargin section and there were some great bargins i there.I will definitely come back when im in bakersfield again. Thank you for being one of the best stops on our trip
