Taylor's Levee Restaurant

OMG, this small independent restaurant has a 70s atmosphere with food and portions that were out of this world. I ordered a double cheese burger, and it blew me away with the size and quality of the meat. The fries were top-notch. The waitress was very kind and was quick to wait on us. We definitely will be back.

Just a beautiful little diner. Really great food and really friendly service. If I'm ever back in the area I'll be back. Breakfast was great and affordable!

We have spent years driving past this gem. Make no mistake, we will be stopping more often than not from now on. We were absolutely delighted with everything about our visit. The food, all fresh ingredients, and everything made from scratch. Love love loved the food and the entire experience. Then, to find out the Restaurant is under New Ownership. We were able to talk with the new owners, and they are absolutely Amazing. We stopped for breakfast but will definitely be back to sample more of that fresh ingredient menu! A must stop.

We were traveling through the area and were looking for a place to stop for lunch. Saw the 4.6 rating and decided to stop. It was 1 hr before closing and we were warmly welcomed. I had the house omelet and my husband and had a double cheese burger. We were totally wowed with the food and of course the service was great. My husband said it was the best burger..cooked perfect to medium he orderd and juicy. Everything we had was perfect.

A pleasant surprise. Food excellent, service excellent! Great breakfast!

This place was recommended to me and my husband as a great breakfast option. We came here and I ordered the Mediterranean skillet and my husband got biscuits and gravy. Let. Me. Tell. You. I travel a lot. I’ve been all over the USA. And no one makes an incredible skillet like the Mediterranean skillet at Levee!! What I couldn’t finish my husband finished for me! It was that good! Jackie is a great waitress and kept great company with us as well. So delish! I will be back for 2nds, 3rds… well you get the idea! Oh yes and let me tell you! Since moving to Portage I’ve had a hard time finding a good cup of joe! This place finally hit the mark! All around a great place to go for breakfast.

Awesome food, friendly service and a good price too. I had an omelette and they didn't Scrooge on the cheese. It was loaded. The coffee was fresh (which seems to be a problem for a lot of other cafes and diners) and we left a nice tip. Highly recommended,

New to Portage working with the railroad. Tried the Levee for breakfast after the reviews were so good.... my wife and I were warmly greeted and the food was even better than we hoped. We shared an omelette and my wife had a cinnamon roll and growled at me when I asked for a bite.

Best breakfast in town and the home made jelly is amazing. The pies are great too! Needs a good cleaning and a remodeling but you can't beat the food and prices.

Huge burgers and delicious fries, friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices will go back.
