It was honestly a great zoo, it’s good to see the animals actually well taken care of and good sized enclosures. The prairie dogs were my favorite, and the goats and donkey loved to be pet.

We were looking for something to do after spending the afternoon at Devil's Lake State Park. Someone suggested the zoo in Baraboo. Having never been there we decided to check it out. The Ochsner Zoo Park had a nice variety of birds and animal exhibits laid out in an interesting way. They had nice flower gardens and landscaping throughout the zoo. One added neat touch was a variety of small objects such as gnomes,, animals and sea shells scattered in some of the gardens. My grandchildren loved searching for the.

The zoo itself is located in a larger park. Right next to the zoo was a really great playground! It had lots of stuff to do as well as picnic tables and shelters. My grandkids love the playground too.

Great place for younger children. Easy walkways. Small enough so that it dies not overwhelme you. Our age group was 18 months to 12 years old. Parking is close. A park, picnic was also there so you could spend a good few hours here. Price was right, free.

It was such a nice experience with my daughter and her class. The zoo is free to get in. The animals are so cool to look at. It is not a huge zoo but it's free so you can't go wrong. Plus the park is right next door. Which is tons of fun too!!

Great little zoo! Easy to walk and see all the animals. Admission is free but they do have donation boxes which we used to donate! The lone Prairie dog and the beaver (see video attached) could use a friend or two!!

Worth the visit. Loved the owls!

Free walkable small zoo. Lots of animals for the littles to enjoy. Plus, it's next to a nice playground too.

We didn’t actually know this existed, just happened to see the bald eagle and the sandhill cranes while we were driving past in the rain and decided to stop. We were utterly charmed by this tiny zoo—all four kids, ages 8-19 enjoyed it—and walked through the whole thing in the rain, the only people there at all. We especially enjoyed seeing the bear and the otter and one prairie dog that popped out right as we were leaving.

Adorable little FREE zoo with a petting zoo zone with goats and pigs. The Mexican wolves were neat. I was happy to see that many of the animals weren't solitary. There were two bears for example, interacting and playing together as opposed to pacing alone. Many of the animals were there because they had rehabilitation needs and they all looked well cared for. 😊

What a fun free zoo for all ages!! We try to visit each time we are close to the area. Kids enjoy the otters, black bears, monkey, owls, goats, llamas, wolves, and the cute prairie dogs! Donations are highly recommended so it stays open and will keep the animals at the zoo.
If you have quarter’s you can feed the animals from those machines.

During the week it was quiet and on site they have a fun playground and flushable bathrooms! Because to me and the kids that’s important for flushing toilets! 😜

They have a spot for picnics also! A nice pavilion to sit under with picnic tables.

Free city zoo with several exhibits. Perfect stop like visiting Baraboo. Nice park for taking a break and having a picnic. Our family spent about an hour exploring. Easy parking near entrance of zoo.

Small, free, easy to walk zoo. The animals were much more active and close up than at any bigger zoos we've been to. The prairie dog town is absolutely adorable. Could have spent the whole day watching the prairie dogs. The bear was also fun to watch, I loved the owls (there's a white one, can't remember what kind, but it always looks like it's smiling), and the kids can feed the goats! If you're in Baraboo, don't skip

Updated... Happy to see four new rescued wolves. <3

We come here often. Unfortunately the wolf, Apache, is no longer there. He was my highlight. However, the Arctic Fox and black bear are quite entertaining. Can pet and feed the goats and pigs. Cannot beat it for free.

This was an amazing place to bring family and friends! I had an event here and it was great! The zoo was great for the kids and everyone enjoyed themselves! The staff are amazing and the faculties are well managed! I would come back here anytime with my kids! The drive from Milwaukee was about 2 hours!

What a great little zoo, went at about 10 AM Sunday morning and there were very few people there. Mostly all the animals were out and that was unexpected. The otters were adorable and the wolves were beautiful. We did a little of the river walk as well which was very nice.

Great place to walk around and see a few animals. It's not the largest zoo but it is free. There's not many places these days that are free. Worth the visit if you're in the area.

We are visiting at the Dells and came to Baraboo to do some shopping. We had no idea this little zoo was here and it was a wonderful surprise! The kids loved watching the otters, the bears, the wolves, and all the other animals ❤.

Such a wonderful place, very clean. Animals look very well taken care of. Not sure 🤔 the lady’s name working by herself changing and feeding all the animals. Props to her for the hard work she is doing for the zoo!!
